Chapter 91: The Most Beautiful In The World
"Hm." Levia turned back towards the drawers. "You're a bit of a prude, aren't you?"
"I guess a Succubus wouldn't know anything about that." Syl chuckled, determined to attack. "Why are you asking about his seed, anyway? Want it for yourself exclusively?"
"Yes." Levia answered without an ounce of hesitation. "Well, not necessarily exclusively but…"
The answer made Syl's mind go blank temporarily.
"I'd be mad if he gave it to you instead of me on a technicality."
"A technicality?" Syl repeated, almost offended.
"Well, yes. The Fox kept me from joining him, and you cut the line."
"I didn't cut any line."
"You did."
"You're assuming he would have given you anything had you been in the room."
"He would have," Levia said confidently. "We've already kissed, you know?"
"So have we." Syl answered instantly.
Levia froze, and so did Syl.
'What the fuck?' The female Hobgoblin rubbed her forehead. 'I'm supposed to be the mature one. Why am I competing with a Succubus over something so stupid?'
"I see…" Levia muttered, trying her best not to look annoyed. "How was it?"
The question made Syl's mind go blank again.
"Alright," The female Hobgoblin got out of the blanket and off the bed. "I'm leaving."
"W-Why? Come on, it's my first time kissing someone! I want to talk about it!"
"Talk about it with him." Syl's voice had a tinge of anger as she quickly put her clothes on.
"I'll lend you new clothes!" Levia suggested.
"No thanks."
"Oh, come on! Some of them would suit you perfectly!"
"I don't need new clothes. We're leaving this place soon anyway."
"Says who?" Levia asked with a raised eyebrow. "We're out of trouble, you know?"
"Maybe you are, since you can teleport yourself out of trouble whenever."
"I can teleport everyone out of trouble's reach whenever."
"Hm…" Syl stared for a bit, gaze alternating between Levia and the door.
"It'll be a while before Vulkan learns of anything. Even if he does, he'll go towards the Hobgoblins, and nothing he'll find there will help in finding us. All in all, we're pretty safe."
"Except that he might come looking for you."
"Yeah…" Levia muttered. "That's the one wrinkle. But we'll be long gone by the time he thinks about sending someone here!"
"..." Syl scratched her head. "You…"
"Yes?"
"You really think there's something in there that would suit me?"
"Yes!"

Amon flipped one of the hares over the fire.
The skin cracked as fat dripped onto the embers, making them hiss.
Rita sat cross-legged to his right, hair tousled and messy from sleep. With her hands cuffed, she couldn't quite show herself any way but fully natural. Akane sat on his left, tail lazily swaying, already chewing.
"Akane."
"Mm?"
"Stop eating the meat raw."
She looked down at the half-skinned hare in her hands and frowned. "It's not raw, it's rare."
"It's still bleeding."
"Yeah. Rare."
Amon shrugged. 'Why not, I guess? I do devour them raw after all.'
"Let the girl eat," Rita chuckled softly. "Foxes are supposed to be wild."
"See?" Akane said, smirking. "Even the Succubus understands."
"The Succubus?" Rita raised an eyebrow. "The Succubus does have a name."
"Forgot it." Akane shrugged and took another bite.
"Phew…" Rita sighed. "Shouldn't have expected much from someone who growls slowly in her sleep."
"I do not growl."
"You do. Loudly."
She turned towards Amon with a worried frown. "I do?"
"No," He chuckled. "She's just trying to get in your head." Amon nodded. 'I mean, I think.'
Akane stuck her tongue out, and Rita laughed.
He tossed another stick into the fire. "So," he said, "You two seem… Alright."
Rita turned towards Akane and waited for her reaction. Akane stared at her for a bit.
"Yeah…" The Fox muttered. "I guess I beat you up pretty badly. I wouldn't be so nice to the other one."
"Levia?" Rita asked.
"No, the one that choked Syl."
"Oh," Amon and Rita exclaimed at once before exchanging a glance..
"What is it?" Akane frowned, suspicious.
To them, Rika was already ancient, forgotten history.
"What is it??" Akane persisted.
Before either could answer or make an excuse, a faint clack-clack echoed down the church staircase.
The sound of heels.
All three turned at once.
At the top of the steps stood Levia. She was wearing a radiant dark silk dress that shimmered faintly under the sunlight. Her hair cascaded perfectly down her back, and the confident curve of her smile made every part of her magnetic
Three steps behind her was Syl. She was dressed simply, but beautifully. The dark blue of her outfit contrasted beautifully with her skin, and her hair was tied neatly in a low ponytail. Syl walked while rubbing her arm awkwardly.
For a brief moment, all went quiet. Even the fire that had previously been hissing nonstop turned quiet.
The three stared as Levia and Syl walked down the staircase like models.
Once they arrived at the end of the staircase,
"Well?" Levia asked as she gave them a spin, "What do you think?"
Syl scratched her head while looking away, obviously embarrassed by the whole ordeal.
Rita turned towards Amon, to whom the question had obviously been directed.
"The most beautiful women in the world," He said.
Syl froze mid-step, caught off guard by the sincerity in his tone. Levia had the same reaction.
There wasn't an ounce of deception in his words.
Amon truly thought, right here and right now, that they were the most beautiful women in the world.
Rita pressed her lips and rolled her eyes, taking great offense.
Akane bit down on the hare in her hands. "You look great," She told Syl after swallowing.
"T-Thanks." Syl said with a nod. It was much easier to answer this compliment than Amon's. "So… Breakfast, huh?"
"Breakfast!" Akane shouted as she raised the hare in the air, celebrating.
"It is pretty much what we had for lunch and dinner as well, though…" Amon muttered.
Levia's eyes slowly narrowed as Syl walked past her to join them.
'They're sitting awfully close,' She thought, staring at the space Amon and Rita were leaving between them. 'Well, well, well…'
