"I still haven't been able to complete one of these daily challenges that involve killing."
"well hopefully this time will be different I got this new hammer that should help a little at least."
Name: N/A
+3 Damage
+1 Dex
Blacksmiths hammer
Rank: Common
Description: Made by Kain training under the crazed blacksmith Vulcan...
"Alright Vulcan I am heading back to the goblin dungeon again."
Kain hears the sound of metal clanging around and heavy foot steps and then Vulcan opens the door to the forge.
"Alright let's go."
"Huh, you are coming with me?"
"Yeah, Kid you need to get stronger so you can pay me back for all I am doing for you."
"Thank you."
"Don't think me yet there are some rules first I get all the weapons and you can have the core there not worth much also you have to get the final hit so I can get exp."
"Wait how does the exp work for you?"
"Commonly exp works 5 exp per level of creature killed and 5 extra exp per level above the creature you are, and minus 5 for every level below you the creature is. however, there is a workaround."
"How."
"You party up with a lower level and they get the kill the exp that you would normally receive will be divided by the people in the party."
"Alright, enough of that let's get to the dungeon already."
The cave was eerily quiet, save for the soft hum of glowing purple crystals embedded in the jagged walls. Their faint light painted the darkness in surreal hues, casting long shadows that danced with every movement. Kain gripped the blacksmith's hammer tightly in his hands, its worn handle slick with sweat. He had spent hours navigating the winding tunnels, his senses sharp and his nerves frayed from the constant threat of goblin ambushes.
The dungeon was a maze, every corridor branching into others that looked almost identical. The air was damp and cold, and the stench of decay lingered in every corner. Kain's stomach churned with hunger, but he pushed on, his focus on survival and the promise of what lay deeper within.
Vulcan walked a few steps ahead, his broad frame a stark contrast to Kain's lanky, malnourished figure. The middle-aged man's movements were confident, almost casual, as though the dungeon's dangers were little more than minor inconveniences. In his hands, he carried a heavy warhammer, its head glowing faintly with runic etchings.
"You're tense," Vulcan said without looking back, his voice low but steady. "Relax your grip on that hammer, boy. If your hands cramp up in a fight, you're as good as dead."
Kain loosened his hold slightly but didn't respond. He was too focused on scanning the shadows for signs of movement. Every now and then, a faint growl or skittering noise echoed through the tunnels, making his heart race.
As they turned another corner, a pair of goblins lunged from the darkness, their yellow eyes glinting with malice. One was armed with a rusted sword, the other with a jagged club. Kain stumbled back, raising his hammer defensively, but before he could react, Vulcan was already in motion.
With a single swing, Vulcan's Warhammer slammed into the goblin with the sword, sending it flying into the wall with a sickening crunch. The second goblin hesitated for a fraction of a second, but that was all Vulcan needed. His hammer came down again, breaking the goblin's weapon and knocking it to the ground.
"Finish it," Vulcan said, stepping aside to let Kain through.
Kain hesitated, his heart pounding in his ears. The goblin lay on the ground, writhing in pain but still alive. Its sharp teeth bared in a snarl as it tried to crawl away. Kain raised his hammer, his hands trembling, and brought it down with all the strength he could muster. The goblin's movements ceased.
He stood there for a moment, breathing heavily before Vulcan placed a hand on his shoulder. "Good. Now, get the mana core."
Kain nodded and knelt beside the goblin's body. Using a small knife he'd made earlier, he cut into the creature's chest, searching for the mana core. After a moment, his blade struck something hard, and he pulled out a small, glowing orb. The core pulsed faintly with energy, its light reflecting in Kain's weary eyes.
"don't get cocky. There are plenty more where that came from, and not all of them will go down so easily."
The hours dragged on as they delved deeper into the dungeon. Each encounter followed the same pattern: Vulcan would overpower the goblins with ease, allowing Kain to deliver the final blow and claim the mana core. Despite Vulcan's strength, the experience was grueling for Kain. His arms ached from swinging the hammer, his legs burned from the constant walking, and his mind reeled from the violence he was forced to inflict.
By the time they found their way back to the entrance, the purple glow of the crystals had begun to fade, signaling the end of the day. Kain leaned heavily on his hammer, his body trembling with exhaustion. His pouch was heavy with mana cores, each one a trophy of his hard-fought survival.
Vulcan looked at him and gave a small nod of approval. "You did well for your first time. You're not dead, and you've got the cores to prove it. Rest up. You'll need it for the next time."
Kain didn't respond, too tired to muster the energy. As they stepped out of the cave and into the cool night air, he looked up at the stars, his mind racing with thoughts of the day.
Throughout the day there were some notifications such as

"All right that will have to do for now."
Kain sits in his closet and admires the cores that they have collected form the goblin there was a total of 33 of them.
"Tomorrow, I'll go see what these babies are worth. Maybe I'll get enough money to buy some armor. I don't want to make it; after all I only know how to work with metal. All that metal on me would just slow me down cant have that in the dungeon.
Kain slowly starts to drift off to sleep.
