Redemption Of The Yandere Villain

Chapter 106: You Should Have Idea

Following the end of dinner, Eugene dedicated the remainder of his afternoon to enjoying leisurely activities with Timber and Eunice. As the sun began its descent, Eugene made his way to Euric's office, intending to pay his brother a visit before departing from the manor.
"Brother," Eugene greeted as he entered Euric's office.
"Hmm. Sit down," Euric responded, gesturing toward a nearby chair.
"I know you're aware why I wanted to have a private talk with you."
"Indeed. I never intended to keep the matter from you," Euric began, his tone sincere. "I know you well, Eugene, and I wanted to handle it myself before bringing it to your attention. With your responsibilities as the future grand duchess, I didn't want to burden you with additional worries."
Eugene chuckled softly, shaking his head. "But brother, Kaizer has never burdened me with conforming to the expectations of a future grand duchess. Why does everyone assume that I'm too preoccupied with studying matrimony duties?"
Euric's expression shifted to one of surprise and concern.
"What do you mean?" he asked, his tone tinged with disbelief. "Not engaging in matrimony classes implies that your husband has no intention of keeping you as the grand duchess indefinitely, suggesting that you are replaceable."
His features contorted into an ugly sneer. "Does Kaizer plan to divorce you in the future?"
Eugene raised an eyebrow, his expression betraying his disbelief.
"Your thoughts are running wild, brother," he remarked, a hint of incredulity in his voice.
Euric frown, "Eugene you are too confident, you better be wary of others. There are a lot of beauties in the empire, if Kaizer is tempted, no matter how high the status of Shradinza Household, we can't whisthand a pressure from the grand dukedom."
Euric's frown deepened. "Eugene, you are too confident," he cautioned. "You should be wary of others. There are plenty of beauties in the empire, and if Kaizer were to be tempted, no matter how high the status of the Shradinza Household, we couldn't withstand the pressure from the grand dukedom."
Eugene chuckled softly.
"Brother, do you think anyone could simply challenge me?" he asked, his tone confident. "Everyone knows my temper; I'm certain they wouldn't dare to get entangled with me or with my lover." He sneered slightly. "And if Kaizer were to ever betray me, what could I do? Not all dogs are loyal to their owners, but the one I've kept for a long time shouldn't be so easily tempted."
Euric tilted his head, confusion evident in his expression. "Dog?" he questioned.
Eugene shrugged off the matter and said, "Forget it, let's talk about Eunice."
Euric nodded in agreement, reaching for a report gathered by his private investigator. "Here," he said, handing the document to his younger brother. "This details the events that transpired at Baron Derithielle's mansion, including the number of attendees, including those of lower status such as the servants."
Eugene quickly scanned the contents of the report.
It detailed how Eunice had been poisoned around two o'clock while exchanging greetings with Baron Derithielle's daughter. The tea had been served by a close servant of Lady Derithielle. Witnesses attested that the tea served to Eunice was the same as that served to Lady Brittany. Shockingly, Eunice was the only one to experience symptoms, vomiting blood shortly afterward. This alarming incident led to the conclusion that someone had plotted to assassinate the sole princess of House Shradinza.
In the midst of chaos, Lady Brittany was the first to rush to Lady Eunice's side, calling for immediate help while others around them panicked.
Lady Derithielle, on the other hand, stood frozen in fright, trembling as she witnessed the events unfold. Witnesses recounted how Lady Derithielle broke down, screaming that she had no knowledge of the poison and vehemently denied any involvement. Despite her protests, sympathy was all that others could offer, as it was revealed that Lady Derithielle's closest maidservant had served the tea and subsequently disappeared following the incident.
Now, Baron Derithielle pleaded for his daughter's innocence, expressing his shock and disbelief at the accusations.

Euric had met with the Baron to discuss the matter. They acknowledged that the situation was still under investigation, and as such, they couldn't definitively identify Baron Derithielle's daughter as the culprit. However, given the circumstances, they remained suspects for the time being.
"Hmm," Eugene mused, squinting his eyes as he attempted to recollect some of his past memories.
Though some events had faded from his mind, there were certain occurrences he couldn't forget, especially those involving the people he sought to protect. Upon hearing that Eunice had been poisoned, Eugene's mind immediately raced to a familiar culprit. This wasn't the first time such an incident had occurred; it had happened in the past, albeit under slightly different circumstances. With a sinking feeling in his gut, Eugene couldn't shake the suspicion that the Marchioness's exile was somehow connected to this latest ordeal.
"Brother, during mother and father's trial, did Viscount Bliastiva attend?"
In the midst of the trial, Eugene's preoccupation with the prospect of erasing his parents' existence from the empire caused him to overlook the significance of Viscount Bliastiva, a crucial figure supporting Celisha.
"No, I never saw him. But I heard he wrote a letter to the palace."
A letter to the palace... Did Viscount Bliastiva have an audience with the emperor? No, that couldn't be. It was more likely that the emperor had declined Viscount Bliastiva's request for an audience, knowing that with so much evidence pointing against Arkiton, Aison, and Celisha, their salvation was unlikely.
"Then, brother, did Viscount Bliastiva request a meeting with you after the cede ceremony?"
Euric frowned. "Yes, he did. However, I declined because I've been occupied with stabilizing our business and managing the army left by our father."
Eugene set down the paper and let out a laugh, leaving Euric feeling somewhat bewildered.
"Is something amusing you?" Euric inquired, noticing Eugene's smile but also sensing a hint of underlying anger in his eyes.
Eugene's smile widened, his expression a mix of amusement and determination.
"Be prepared, brother," he said, his voice tinged with seriousness. "Our esteemed grandfather may pay us a visit at any moment."
Euric's expression turned solemn as he contemplated the implications of their grandfather's potential visit.
Their grandfather had never shown much favor toward his younger brother and sister; his attention had always been focused on him and Eullian. If their grandfather were to visit the manor in the absence of their parents, it could only mean one thing: he was planning to exert pressure on him as the new head of the Shradinza Household.
Contemplating the memory of the old man's cold demeanor, Euric's sneer deepened.
"Like father, like daughter," he muttered to himself, the bitterness evident in his tone. It was likely that his grandfather still maintained connections with his mother, who had been exiled. If that were the case, there was a strong possibility that his grandfather wouldn't allow him to live in peace, intent on forcing him to acknowledge that removing their parents from the picture had been a grave mistake.
Eugene sighed, his expression appearing sorrowful but with an underlying sense of thrill.
"Brother, we sent away his only beloved daughter. Do you think he could still harbor any feelings for his grandson and granddaughter? He's likely contemplating how to punish us for such disrespect..." Eugene lowered his gaze, his tone somber. "...and Eunice being poisoned could be one of the warnings he's sending us."
Eugene stood up, his demeanor growing darker.
"Brother, you know as well as I do that the idea of 'blood is thicker than water' is a fallacy in this world," he stated grimly. "That's why you must trust no one, not even me, your own brother."
The room fell into a heavy silence as Euric covered his face, his expression pained.
"Eugene, I understand your feelings," Euric began softly, "but I want to assure you that while others may come and go in this life, I, your brother, will always stand by your side." He sighed heavily, his voice filled with regret. "I'm sorry, Eugene. I failed to protect you before, and for that, I'm truly sorry." Euric blamed himself for his brother's lack of trust; if only he could turn back time, he would have shielded Eugene from harm, even if it meant defying their parents.
"Brother, there's no need for you to apologize," Eugene said gently.
He had long forgiven his brother. Over the course of their five lifetimes in Artha, Eugene had come to understand the depth of his brother's struggles and the transformative power of his suffering. Eugene realized that he, too, bore responsibility for their strained relationship, acknowledging that he had failed to open up to his brother, unaware that Euric would be there to listen and support him through his trials.
"Your role is to protect Eunice and manage the household, while I'll take care of eliminating those who seek to harm you," Eugene declared firmly.
"Eugene..."
"So, brother, wipe away that pathetic look from your face. You're a Marquis now; hold your head high. Stand up to them, don't fear offending anyone, because as long as I'm alive in this world, you are invincibl."
Eugene turned around. "I'll take my leave now. I'll visit if I have time."
As Euric watched his little brother's retreating figure, a bittersweet smile played on his lips. Somehow, Eugene had grown into someone unassailable, distant from the reach of ordinary people. While there was sadness in realizing this, there was also a profound sense of happiness knowing that Eugene would no longer suffer from the grievances caused by others' actions and words.
Eugene remained standing at the door, his fists clenched in determination.
Taking a deep breath, he whispered to himself, "So brother, protect Timber and Eunice for me for I have put them under your wings."
With heavy steps echoing through the hallways, Eugene glanced outside.
Since the heaven is already giving a warning, then it's time for him to be more reckless.
"If the heavens are issuing warnings," he thought grimly, "then it's time for me to become even more daring."
When Eugene arrived at the grand dukedom, Kaizer immediately welcomed his lover with a warm embrace. Eugene dropped a tender kiss on Kaizer's forehead, and with a playful remark, he elicited a hearty laugh from Kaizer.
In the intimate confines of their bedchamber, Eugene reclined on a chair while Kaizer knelt on the floor, reverently kissing every inch of Eugene's skin, leaving a trail of marks in his wake. Eugene would occasionally feed Kaizer grapes, their sweetness a tantalizing contrast to the intensity of their passion. After each indulgence, Eugene would capture Kaizer's lips in a fervent kiss before gently guiding him back to his knees to resume his devoted ministrations.
"Hmm. You're really a dog."
Kaizer chuckle, "darling, when will you let me go further?"
Eugene sigh, "maybe when you die."
Kaizer pouted, "you still didn't forget your revenge on me?"
"I still haven't forgotten the life I lived for thousands of years. Why would you expect me to forget something I've said in just six years?"
Kaizer feel so defeated that he could only leave a tooth marks on Eugene's fair tender legs.
The next day, Eugene, who had played with Kaizer in bed, woke up feeling refreshed, while Kaizer, unable to enjoy the touch of his lover, felt dull as he buried his head in paperwork. It was evident to all who saw him that the Grand Duke had been outmatched by the young master once again.
"Eugene~"
"Lord Keerto, it's been a while."
Keerto held Eugene's hand tightly as Eugene's gaze fell on Keerto's bulging stomach. Sensing Eugene's understanding, Keerto couldn't help but feel embarrassed as he confessed, "I-I agreed to it. I chose to conceive again..."
"Lord Keerto you haven't recover your memories right?"
Keerto paused, his expression troubled, before nodding in confirmation.
"Then why did you agree? Aren't you concerned about the fate of the child in your womb?"
Since it's born through magic.
But the biggest question in his mind is how could Lord Katnier perform the vita spell again after his issue with his parents? Lord Katiner should have an idea how he hated vita spell but still used it again to his lover and now his lover is dangling in front of him with a big stomach making him restless, wanting to dig out what's inside before it is delivered.
Such a life, shouldn't exist.
