Chapter 12: Chapter 12 Mission

  Day 2, June 13th.

Glenn and Aggie did an excellent job of completing the task. Although there were some minor scares in the process, they successfully marked the locations and routes of 13 trucks within a 2-kilometer radius.

Leon called Moore and Aji and asked them to bring five members of the combat team to complete the task of stealing the truck.

Before leaving, Lyon deliberately left behind Moore and Aji, and gave them detailed instructions:

"This mission of stealing a truck is not complicated. You can work in pairs and cooperate with each other. Use the flesh and blood camouflage I taught you yesterday to quietly enter the truck and drive it away."

"You can also use radios, players, car horns and other items to make noise and lure away the zombies around the truck."

"There are seven of you in total. You have enough manpower and firepower. Even in the most extreme situation, a storming attack will definitely be no problem."

"So, I have only one request for this mission. Every combat member is a valuable asset of the company. Even if the mission is frustrated and the supplies are damaged, it doesn't matter. But I don't want to hear about anyone's sacrifice. This will affect my evaluation of the two of you and affect your future promotions. Do you understand?"

  "Okay boss, I understand."

"Don't worry, boss. Old Moore will definitely follow your command."

Moore and Aji nodded in agreement and thought carefully in their hearts about what to do. They both had their own ambitions and hoped to climb to a higher position in the apocalypse.

Power is like poison, no one can resist it.

Leon nodded, thought for a few seconds and added:

"For the truck keys and details about how the truck was stolen, you can ask Jim or Alevin. They are both professional auto repair technicians and can answer your questions."

"As for guns, ammunition and other supplies, you can go to Miss Amy and she will make proper arrangements for you."

"Go ahead. The mission will begin after 8 o'clock. I look forward to your performance."

After seeing off More, Aggie and the others, only Lyon, Glenn, T and Daryl were left.

Although there are fewer people, their fighting power is actually stronger, not to mention he has his own human form.

In Lyon's makeshift office, four people gathered around a red square table with a hand-drawn map of Atlanta's southern suburbs on the table.

While enjoying the exquisite desserts served by Miss Amy, they listened to Leon explain the mission.

"The most scarce resources at the Umbrella Corporation base right now are gasoline and diesel."

"According to the information provided by Mr. Glenn, I discussed it with him in detail and locked onto this block."

Lyon showed everyone a hand-drawn map of a long and narrow commercial district near the edge of the city.

"No. 107 to No. 168 Rongguang Avenue is more than 150 meters long and 8 meters wide. It has three intersections and is connected to the interstate highway."

"All the buildings are three-story stone shops, and there are almost no navigable alleys between the buildings."

"According to Mr. Glenn's information, this 150-meter commercial street is a lifestyle commercial street prepared to supply the white-collar apartment complex half a kilometer away. There is a medium-sized Wal-Mart department store, two competing gas stations, an international chain drugstore, a car sales center, and 50 different types of stores."

"As long as we can find a way to block the roads at both ends of the block and prevent the zombies from entering and exiting freely, this commercial street will become a closed space."

"After we eliminate the zombies inside, all the supplies here will become our spoils."

"Our vehicles can go right into the neighborhood from the interstate and haul them away easily."

T scratched his head and asked in some embarrassment:

"But Boss, how are we going to block the street?"

Leon showed a confident smile and said:

"This is the point. If we use the usual methods, it is difficult for us to build barriers and block an 8-meter-wide street in a short period of time."

"But among the trucks we found, there were several heavy trucks that were 9, 10 or even 11 meters long."

"As long as we modify the fenders under the trucks, drive the trucks into the commercial street, let them swing sideways at the end of the street, and let the rear ends of the trucks stick close to the stone walls of the shops on both sides, we can form a metal wall more than 4 meters high."

"This is the quickest and most effective method."

After listening to Leon's plan and thinking about it, they couldn't help but admire their boss's wisdom.

In fact, this is not an extremely unimaginable plan, but their imagination is limited by their imagination and the inherent concepts of peacetime.

"I've given Jim the plans for the truck's transformation."

"Our mission this morning is to conduct a field survey of the actual situation of the Glory Avenue Commercial Street and how many zombies are there."

"Glenn, T-boy, go ask Amy for two cars. We'll leave now."

When they arrived at the Glory Avenue commercial street, the situation here was a little worse than Leon had imagined. There were about three to four hundred zombies wandering on the street. If the zombies in various stores and Walmart are included, the number is estimated to be over 500.

Even if all members of the combat team are on the field, each person has to deal with more than 50 zombies.

This is not realistic, and they don't have that much ammunition to consume.

However, there was no worry on Leon's face, he had already made a plan in his mind.

At around 2 pm, Aji, along with a member of the logistics department, drove two heavy trucks and met up with Lyon here.

There was still a foul smell in the cab, and red and black traces of flesh and blood could be seen in inconspicuous places. Leon estimated that they were using flesh and blood camouflage.

"Aji, how is your mission going?"

Aji touched his head and replied somewhat embarrassedly:

"Sorry, boss. For safety reasons, we acted very cautiously. Including these two trucks, we only got back 6 in total."

"However, we paid close attention to safety and no one was injured."

Leon nodded approvingly and breathed a sigh of relief.

Now every fighter is his favorite, and he will be heartbroken for a long time if one of them dies.

  "That's good."

"Your task is not urgent. It doesn't matter if you complete it tomorrow."

"How about this, you drive a small car back and continue to help Moore, and Dodgers stay here. His truck driving skills are the best among us."

"Remember to tell Moore what I said."

After Aji left, there were only four people left around Lyon.

  Glenn, Daryl, T-boy, and Adachi.

Two SSR cards, one three-star card, and one two-star card.

He thought about it for a few seconds, and finally decided not to take it. The rare hero who had not been properly leveled was going to take risks.

I'll take on this dangerous task in the early stages by myself. It doesn't matter if I get bitten.

Leon got into the car and said to his men:

"I will complete the bait mission. The rest of you should protect Adachi and help him block the block."

"Clear the remaining zombies on the road."

"If something unexpected happens, prioritize your own safety and wait for me on the interstate."
