Chapter590-Daniel’s Decision
The surrounding gods, not being part of the Gold and Silver Domain themselves, found it difficult to understand the subtle hint in Aurelia's words.
However, as the one involved, Daniel instantly understood what Aurelia meant. Indeed, he too now possessed the Gold and Silver Domain. Though his divine power was not as exaggerated as Aurelia's, he was one of the only two beings in the world who wielded this domain.
So, had Aurelia seen through him?
What did her warning mean? Was it out of ulterior motives, or was it a genuine piece of advice?
At this moment, Daniel could not grasp Aurelia's true thoughts. On the other side, Aurelia furrowed her brow, carefully studying Daniel.
"So, how exactly did you do it?" she asked.
"Obviously, this does not align with the principles of the Supreme Will," she continued.
Daniel knew exactly what she was referring to, and a faint smile appeared on his face.
"Perhaps you won't believe it, but in a certain timeline, you did indeed achieve ultimate victory," Daniel explained.
"But you also paid a heavy price: you completely lost yourself and became a puppet of the inner god."
"The domain I possess now is the one you gave me in that timeline," Daniel further elaborated.
His explanation sounded absurd at first glance, but to everyone's surprise, Aurelia chose to believe him.
She furrowed her brow again, deep in thought for a while, before finally turning her gaze back to Daniel and asking, "So, tell me, what exactly did you see?"
Daniel gave a faint smile and then locked eyes with Aurelia.
"In truth, I saw a completely desolate world. In that world, all life other than gods was destroyed," he began.
After a brief pause, Daniel continued, "In that world, you were fully under the control of the inner god. A large number of ancient gods had revived, some of them had even completely awakened."
"I'm not sure what you intend to do, but I believe that at that time, you were already in the process of destroying this world."
Having said this, Daniel gave Aurelia a meaningful glance. He had no intention of hiding what he had seen. He chose to be completely honest with her.
Upon hearing Daniel's words, the other gods in the room all wore serious expressions. Every god had their own realm, a god kingdom where all living beings relied on their belief in the god to receive rewards. This system formed different god kingdoms.
Despite this, Aurelia remained serious upon hearing Daniel's response. She was silent for a long while, and no one knew how much time had passed before a mocking smile appeared on her face.
Aurelia once again looked at Daniel, suddenly raising her head proudly, much like a victorious rooster.
"Although I can sense that what you said is the truth, to me, it is not an important matter," she said.
"When facing a crisis, did I have any choice other than becoming the inner god?"
As she said this, Aurelia sneered at Daniel. Hatred filled her eyes, gradually becoming more intense.
"If you could have helped me back then, maybe that terrible event wouldn't have happened. Since that incident, I've made up my mind: my destiny will always be in my own hands!"
"I will no longer wait for some so-called savior to appear, and I certainly don't need one," she declared.
Daniel could sense the deep sorrow in Aurelia's words. However, he had no idea what had happened during that time, so he couldn't offer her any comfort.
Moreover, Daniel did not want to continue arguing with her. Their lines of thinking were fundamentally different, and it was clear they could not continue the conversation.
But continuing to argue would serve no purpose. So, Daniel simply chose to remain silent, closing his eyes.
However, Daniel did not sit idly. His mind was working quickly and efficiently, processing everything he had learned so far. If he wanted to change the current situation, he would have to take an unconventional approach.
This thought led him to remember his God Rank Skill – the God of Thieves' Dagger.
A bold idea suddenly surfaced in Daniel's mind.
What if he could create avatars of these gods?
If everything could be controlled, did that mean he could create hundreds of gods in the blink of an eye?
Daniel used Mental Deduction to simulate the idea, running through various scenarios in his mind. Before him, countless Godfall Battlefields appeared.
However, without exception, the majority of these battlefields would be accompanied by the revival of ancient gods, ultimately leading to destruction.
In Daniel's simulations, it became clear that Faer was destined to embark on the path of becoming an inner god.
The most troublesome issue was the conflict between the Luck Goddess Luke and the avatars. Her luck attribute seemed to have undergone unexpected changes, resulting in a form of fragmentation.
But these were not the most critical problems. The most insurmountable obstacle was that, once he copied the gods, the inner gods would become even more terrifying.
From the information Daniel had gathered, it seemed that every god would give birth to their own inner god.
This meant that although copying the gods appeared to give an advantage, it would actually be a far more desperate choice for himself.
Imagine, in an instant, his enemies multiplied by over a hundred, each of them now possessing the terrifying inner god power. Even with Daniel's usual confidence, this felt like nothing but despair.
There was simply no solution to this predicament!
Daniel couldn't help but sigh inwardly. It seemed that the easiest approach to solving the current dilemma was not the best choice.
Moreover, Daniel did not want his old friends, including Aurelia, to face any danger. Their presence was the cornerstone of maintaining the current situation.
Though their paths differed, their goals were aligned for now.
At this point, Daniel unconsciously turned his gaze toward Isabella.
If his ritual task required him to kill a god, what if he created a replica of Isabella, then killed it instantly? Would that count as completing the task?
On the other side, Isabella seemed to have seen through Daniel's thoughts. A smile appeared on her face as she beckoned him with a finger.
"Little brother, I'm all set. Come on, come on~"
