Chapter537-City of Elements Part2
Daniel could somewhat sense Milla's concerns, and he had anticipated many of them.
However, despite their differences, Faer seemed to have a relatively friendly attitude toward him.
Although he had now allied himself with Aurelia and walked down a similar path, Faer didn't seem to harbor the same kind of hostility toward him that Aurelia did.
Daniel knew very well that in order to embark on the third path to godhood, relying solely on his own strength would be insufficient.
Furthermore, the God of Knowledge had already provided him with the method of merging with the divine positions of the Ancient God Pantheon, but this would require a very complex ritual formation.
Even with Daniel's current power, these ritual arrays were still a bit too complicated for him to handle alone.
It would be difficult to complete them entirely by himself.
This is where Faer's power would come into play.
Daniel had a deep understanding of Faer's pursuit of knowledge, which was why he decided to visit the City of Elements.
While Daniel had access to vast knowledge provided by the God of Knowledge, turning this knowledge into a functional ritual formation would require someone experienced with ritual arrays to assist him.
Otherwise, it would be impossible for Daniel to manage it alone.
Daniel had a subtle feeling that the God of Knowledge had already anticipated that he would seek Faer's help, which was why such a request was made in the first place.
Just then, Milla spoke again.
"Your Majesty Daniel, within the City of Elements, there are Faer's venerated races. If we wish to use Faer's ritual arrays, we'll likely need their approval first."
"I know your strength is formidable, but if we want the ritual to proceed smoothly, we may need to engage in friendly discussions with them."
Daniel nodded lightly. He had already prepared himself for this.
At that moment, a Fake God suddenly appeared in front of them.
It was unclear whether it was just passing by or intentionally trying to block Daniel's path.
But for Daniel, there was no need to analyze or hesitate. Anyone who blocked his way would be eliminated.
He casually threw out a [Phantom Slash], and the Fake God of the Ancient God Pantheon didn't even have time to react before it was completely obliterated.
Daniel didn't even need to personally collect the soul; by activating [Forceful Convergence], everything was taken care of effortlessly.
Milla, witnessing this display, was left in a daze.
"Wait..."
Although Daniel was incredibly powerful, he was still a Fake God, wasn't he?
So how could he kill a Fake God so easily?
And not just kill it—he destroyed it in an instant!
For Milla, this was the first time she had seen Daniel kill a Fake God with such ease.
The way he casually eliminated it and showed no interest in the kill was something even a strong Demigod might find hard to replicate.
Milla swallowed nervously, unsure of what to say next, when Daniel suddenly turned to her and asked,
"By the way, do you have a way to contact Luke?"
Milla snapped back to reality and nodded vigorously.
As a devotee of the Luck Goddess, she could communicate with Luke through prayer.
Of course, this method wasn't always reliable.
"Your Majesty Daniel, I can pray, but the Luck Goddess, Luke, may not always respond."
"In fact, ever since you arrived in the City of Luck, I have been praying to her. But so far, she has yet to respond."
Daniel nodded, not surprised by Milla's words.
After all, the gods were currently occupied with dealing with the invasions from the Exiled Lands.
However, Daniel wasn't sure if Luke knew that Kartora was currently imprisoned in the Land of Exile.
If Luke was aware of this and still hadn't taken action, it would mean that Kartora's situation was far more complicated than Daniel had imagined. After all, the power of the gods was immense.
If they couldn't rescue Kartora, then Daniel's chances of helping him would be almost impossible.
But Daniel wasn't certain if Luke knew about Kartora's predicament. So after some thought, Daniel decided to tell Luke about Kartora's situation.
If Luke didn't already know, then rescuing Kartora might become much easier.
"Alright, let's open the portal. We're going to the City of Elements."
Upon hearing Daniel's command, Milla didn't hesitate. She immediately opened a portal in front of him.
Daniel stepped through, and when he returned to his senses, he found himself in a world full of brilliant colors.
Clearly, this was within the territory of the City of Elements.
Feeling the pervasive aura of elements around him, Daniel nodded slightly.
As soon as Daniel and Milla appeared in this place, the surrounding elements seemed to condense. In the blink of an eye, several figures appeared in front of them.
These elemental creatures seemed to recognize Milla. Upon seeing her, they immediately inquired,
"Milla? Aren't you the former devotee of the Luck Goddess? What brings you to our domain?"
The attitude of the elemental creatures was cold. It seemed that they were not particularly welcoming of Milla and Daniel's arrival.
Their strength was not overwhelming—at most, they were Demigod-level. Despite this, they showed no fear of Milla.
Milla, however, maintained a friendly smile.
"I've come here to borrow one of the ritual arrays left by Lord Faer in the City of Elements."
"Do you really want to use Lord Faer's ritual arrays?"
The expressions of the elemental creatures changed instantly, shock turning into fierce anger. It was as though something they held dear was about to be taken by an enemy.
In the blink of an eye, they unleashed all their power.
"Milla, you should leave now! The City of Elements does not welcome you!"
"The god you serve has taken a different path from Lord Faer. Therefore, the City of Elements will not be open to you!"
Milla had already anticipated this outcome.
Turning her head, she glanced at Daniel, her face showing a helpless smile.
Meanwhile, the elemental creatures' gaze shifted to Daniel.
What shocked them was that, despite Daniel's presence alongside Milla, he exuded no distinct aura. He seemed like an ordinary person.
But clearly, anyone who could accompany Milla here could not be an ordinary person.
They eyed Daniel warily and asked,
"Who are you?"
