Chapter375-Kartora's Request

Daniel's gaze was deep as he looked at Kartora before him.

There was a subtle feeling that seemed to tug at him.

Perhaps for Kartora and the others, the most important thing was to stick to their chosen path, to walk it alone.

Every future god he had met in the castle was filled with confidence in the path they had chosen.

A god of the time domain was destined to be incredibly powerful in the future.

Kartora, while still far from reaching true godhood, had already succeeded in creating the [Time Square Mirror] at the Fake God level.

Though it wasn't as stable as a space-time portal, the effects were essentially the same.

The fact that she had created something like this at her current level was impressive.

If she ever became a true god, perhaps there was a chance she could change the laws of fate.

But these were just Daniel's speculations.

Whether or not fate could truly be reversed, or whether it could be changed, was something beyond Daniel's reach at the moment.

As Daniel looked at the Time Square Mirror in front of him, a sudden spark of insight flashed in his mind.

Without hesitation, he activated [Mental Deduction], diving into his mental world to process the information and simulate possible outcomes.

After a moment, his eyes lit up as he turned to Kartora.

"Kartora, do you think it's possible that the Time Square Mirror can do more than just return us to the past? What would happen if you reversed the formation inside it?" Daniel asked.

Kartora was momentarily stunned. "Theoretically, this formation cannot be reversed. But... wait, maybe there's a way!"

It seemed that something had clicked in Kartora's mind. She looked at Daniel with a deep gaze and continued.

"The Time Square Mirror can not only return us to the past, but it also has the ability to send someone back to their original timeline."

"Crossbridge, it seems you really don't belong to this time, do you?" Kartora asked, her tone carrying a mixture of realization and curiosity.

In fact, Kartora had felt this for a long time but could never fully confirm it.

Now, she had finally spoken the words aloud.

But then, a complicated expression appeared on her face.

"So, Crossbridge, can you tell me if my direction is correct?"

"No, I think I shouldn't ask you about this," she shook her head, her expression even more complex.

It turned out that the Time Square Mirror could be used to send Daniel back to the future. Daniel was just as stunned by this revelation.

"I never imagined that the Time Square Mirror you created would be the way for me to leave," Daniel thought, his emotions were complicated in that moment.

It seemed that the opportunity for his return was tied to Kartora.

However, just as Daniel was processing this revelation, Kartora spoke again.

"Crossbridge, I have a request."

"Although I've created the Time Square Mirror, it still needs adjustments for practical use," Kartora explained. "I need someone to help me test it, but I haven't been able to find the right person. The Mirror is filled with chaotic energies."

"Based on my deductions, you should be the only one, apart from me, who can safely enter the Time Square Mirror."

"Would you be willing to help me? I truly need your assistance…" Kartora's eyes were filled with a pleading light.

Daniel didn't hesitate at all. He nodded and agreed without any second thoughts.

"Alright, I can help you," he said.

Kartora, grateful, gave Daniel a thankful look. Then she lifted the Time Square Mirror and placed it on the ground.

In an instant, the mirror's size expanded tenfold, now almost as large as two huge doors.

At the same time, a large number of intricate runes appeared on the surface of the Time Square Mirror, flickering with alternating light and shadow.

The design was incredibly complex.

Kartora, now with a serious tone, spoke again.

"Crossbridge, time may distort within the Mirror, but don't worry, I will ensure your safety."

"Even if I fall from my godhood, I won't let you come to harm."

Daniel nodded and said nothing more. Instead, he focused on the Time Square Mirror in front of him. He could sense that it was time to step into it.

With determination, Daniel lifted his foot and stepped into the Mirror.

At that moment, his emotions were a whirlwind. Was he about to travel from the future to the past, and then back to the future? It felt a bit confusing.

Daniel silently sighed to himself, trying to process the situation.

Suddenly, his vision was filled with a familiar, distorted space.

When Daniel opened his eyes again, he found himself floating in a time rift, surrounded by a chaotic flow of time. A message appeared before his eyes.

You are currently in a time anomaly. You will be automatically ejected from this space in 30 seconds.

Daniel felt like a ghost, drifting through the rift, completely disconnected from reality.

Back in the castle, Kartora observed Daniel's status, frowning slightly as she muttered to herself.

"It seems the Time Square Mirror is still far from perfected. And 30 seconds is far too short!"

The first version of the Time Square Mirror was certainly far from being fully developed.

There was still a huge gap between it and the space-time portals Daniel would encounter later.

Was it possible that the future space-time portals were simply an improved version of the Time Square Mirror?

Daniel couldn't help but wonder as he focused on using his mind power.

Soon, he detected a large demigod ahead, within a dense forest.

The demigod was chasing someone... Luna!?

Why was she here? And which timeline was this?

Daniel was momentarily stunned but didn't pause in his actions.

In the blink of an eye, he activated [Thunderfall Shield], encasing Luna in a protective shield while unleashing a powerful bolt of lightning on the demigod.

The lightning struck the demigod's head, turning him into a charred pile of ash in an instant.

However, Daniel frowned.

He could feel that 99% of the damage had been blocked by some kind of special defense. Despite this, the demigod was left with only a thin layer of remaining health.

Just as Daniel was preparing to strike again, a familiar voice echoed in his mind.

"Friend, perhaps we have a misunderstanding," the voice said.

"I failed to manage my student properly. Please, show mercy."

"By the way, my name is Faer. I am the king of the Elemental race."
