Chapter282-Sea of Resurrection
Divine Realm, Central Divine Temple—
Inside the temple, the atmosphere was heavy with dread. Every archangel present, including the Emperor of Angels, wore a grim, almost ashen expression.
None of them had anticipated it.
Not in their wildest calculations did they expect that Daniel would be capable of reflecting an attack from god.
An actual divine strike.
Everyone in this room understood perfectly well: a single blow from god was enough to completely obliterate even a Fake God. That kind of attack should've been unstoppable.
And yet… Daniel, who hadn't even reached the level of a god, had defied that assumption.
He had blocked it—and even redirected it!
The Archangels around the table fell into an eerie, unanimous silence.
Based on the intelligence they had gathered, Daniel wasn't just strong—he was terrifyingly versatile.
He possessed formidable spiritual attacks, potent spatial abilities, and advanced summoning techniques.
On top of all that, his raw attack power was frighteningly high.
Whichever angle they analyzed, Daniel's strength far surpassed what anyone at his current stage should be capable of.
And now, to their dismay, he had revealed yet another layer to his arsenal: god-defying defense.
Even the highest-ranking Archangels couldn't help but feel a chill creep down their spines.
One of them finally broke the silence. It was Vinicius, his voice solemn.
"If even this couldn't kill Daniel… then how exactly are we supposed to eliminate him?"
That question silenced the chamber once more.
The truth was harsh. They had already overestimated Daniel to the greatest extent they thought possible.
Even the Emperor of Angels himself had spared no caution—he had regarded Daniel as a Class S threat, assigning him a danger level usually reserved for the most ancient threats to their realm.
It was for that very reason he had even petitioned god for an intervention—using up precious divine resources in the process.
Yet despite all of that… even Goddess of Gold & Silver Aurelia herself had failed to eliminate Daniel.
A god had struck—and failed.
"Your Majesty…" another Archangel asked hesitantly, "have we truly run out of options? Should we intervene now to stop Daniel's plans?"
The Emperor of Angels slowly shook his head.
His expression had never been so serious.
If not even god could kill Daniel, what could they possibly do?
In fact, just moments ago, the Emperor had sensed something else even more disturbing—Daniel's summoned creatures had suddenly grown far more powerful.
It wasn't an illusion.
Daniel had evolved, right under their noses.
It was getting to the point where the Angel of Gold and Silver race could no longer contain him.
With nothing more than his own strength, Daniel had launched an all-out war against their entire species.
And the worst part was—he was winning.
More terrifying still, he was growing stronger as he fought!
Just as desperation was beginning to take root in the room, a calm voice interrupted the downward spiral of thoughts.
The Wise Angel spoke, his tone soft, but resolute.
"Perhaps… we are stuck in the wrong mode of thinking."
He turned to the Emperor with composed eyes.
"Your Majesty, what if we did something different? What if… we simply stopped trying to stop him? Let Daniel do whatever he wants."
This shocking suggestion made the Emperor frown instinctively.
But the Wise Angel continued without hesitation.
"Let us not forget why we are here—our mission has never been to kill Daniel. Our purpose is to purify this world, to prepare for the glorious return of Her Majesty Aurelia."
"And once Her Majesty descends in full… Daniel will become meaningless."
The words were like pebbles tossed into a still pond—breaking the mental paralysis of the others.
Suddenly, the Emperor of Angels realized it too.
They had been led astray. Without even noticing, they had been drawn into Daniel's tempo. Responding to his provocations. Reacting instead of acting.
Daniel was dangerous, yes. But he wasn't the mission.
He was a distraction.
Even if he had blocked a divine strike, what did that matter?
Once Goddess Aurelia fully returned, she could strike a million times in a second if she wished. Daniel would be nothing but ashes.
Ashes with no chance of revival.
The Archangels' eyes lit up as realization dawned on them.
"You're right," one of them agreed, "Wise Angel speaks the truth. There's no need to concern ourselves with Daniel right now."
"Exactly. When the time comes, and Apollo the Sun rises once more, all we have to do is awaken him. Then Daniel's resistance will be meaningless."
However…
At that exact moment, a twinge of unease gripped the Emperor of Angels.
A subtle, primal warning.
Something was wrong.
Something was very wrong.
He instinctively turned his awareness toward the place he had been monitoring closely…
—
Sea of Resurrection
Daniel stood calmly, hands folded behind his back, surveying the landscape.
Arrayed before him were ninety-nine fully-armed Primordial Core Weapons, each planted in a precise formation around the shimmering silver-gold sea.
Turning slightly, he spoke to Milla beside him.
"You'd better step back. This might get a little messy."
Milla nodded without hesitation and opened a spatial portal, vanishing to a safer location.
And then, in the span of a heartbeat—
The Primordial Core Weapons detonated.
At the exact moment of detonation, a beam of pure golden light descended from the heavens—right onto Daniel's position.
BOOM!
The massive explosion tore across the Sea of Resurrection like a divine storm. Light and sound collided in a blinding wave of destruction.
But when the smoke cleared…
Daniel was no longer where he had stood.
Instead, standing in the very center of the blast, was a figure surrounded by glowing, golden shields.
The Emperor of Angels.
He had appeared, materializing directly within the explosion's heart.
Thanks to his protective barrier, he was completely unharmed.
More importantly, the Angel of Gold and Silver race had long since been blessed by Aurelia herself, rendering them immune to the destructive power of the Primordial Core Weapons.
But then—another presence shimmered into view.
Daniel.
He stood tall, calm as ever, face-to-face with the crowned ruler of the angels.
Bathed in golden light, the two figures stared at each other in solemn silence.
This was it—their first true battle.
In the blink of an eye, the remaining Archangels also teleported to the battlefield.
With the Sea of Resurrection on the brink of destruction, they could no longer sit idle.
After all, the Sea of Resurrection wasn't just a sacred artifact—it was the backbone of their race's resurrection capability.
If it were to be destroyed, the entire Angel of Gold and Silver race would lose the ability to revive its warriors.
That kind of loss could not be tolerated.
It could mean the end of their species.
Not just a demotion in tier—but total extinction.
So even if they'd decided to ignore Daniel moments ago, they now had no choice but to act.
Daniel, meanwhile, had already activated Eye of Insight, scanning the being before him.
[Emperor of Angels, Neo]
Race: Angel of Gold and Silver
Level: 500
Tier: Demigod
Description: Sovereign of the Angel of Gold and Silver race. Oversees all angelic domains. A devout and unwavering follower of Goddess of Gold & Silver Aurelia.
Daniel narrowed his eyes.
There was no denying it—Neo was incredibly powerful.
Taking him down wouldn't be easy.
Golden shields floated protectively around Neo, just like those that had once protected Michael.
But these were clearly more potent.
Though the race's tier hadn't changed, the Angel of Gold and Silver race had not stagnated in the past 4000 years.
Under Aurelia's divine favor, they had grown. Evolved.
And now, they were ready to fight.
