Reborn with Consumption System

Chapter 164 The Big Scene [Major Chapter]_4

For this, Han Lie had prepared for an entire evening and a day.

I don't understand official jargon and clichés, but when it comes to hoodwinking people and painting a rosy picture... isn't that my specialty? Let's do this!

"Hello everyone, it's an honor to work with you all. I am Han Lie.

I know some of you may have doubts or opinions about me. However, time is limited, so today let's set aside our differences. I'd like to briefly talk about what I can bring to the Literary and Art Department and what will be expected of you.

In my vision, the Literary and Art Department should be the flagship of the Humanities Student Council. We must be able to make a name for ourselves.

Our Humanities faculty has some unique characteristics—a high proportion of female students, less academic pressure, more free time, and a central city location, among others.

So, how do we make the most of our features?

My idea is to organize students passionate about this and have them spend more time and energy rehearsing and training to create several high-quality performances.

For example, the Korean Dance Club often covers dances by Girls' Generation. Pick two routines and train until they're stage-ready.

The Music Club can master pieces like 'Dream Wedding' and 'Für Elise,' right?

The Hanfu Club could put together a performance of 'Jiangnan Water Town.'

Those who are good singers should practice recent popular hits...

We don't need many performances, but they must be top-quality. Then, we'll invest more in costuming and props. We can take advantage of our geographical location to pick up some small commercial performances in the city. That's not hard, right?

Weddings, celebrations, openings, warm-up acts, exhibitions, promotional events... there are plenty of gigs to take on.

In the early stages, the school's funding may not cover all our needs. So, to avoid affecting other departments, I will manage the financials as needed until the department is combat-ready.

Once we start generating revenue, we'll divide it roughly into three parts—

Ten percent will be reinvested into the department for costuming and props.

Twenty to thirty percent will go to our business contacts; we can't expect them to leverage their connections and efforts for free.

The remaining sixty to seventy percent, we keep for ourselves—that's the lion's share.

In this way, the school gains reputation, individuals benefit, we support each other, and we avoid idling our lives away.

If the External Relations Department is interested, they could go out more to drum up business. Getting businesses to sponsor us for free is difficult, but is offering us a performance opportunity really that hard?

With a share of the profits as motivation, I expect everyone's enthusiasm will definitely not be an issue.

By my estimation, if we can create five unique, high-quality performances, then our competitiveness will be immense.

We could easily command two to three hundred thousand per event. This includes real estate opening ceremonies, department store anniversaries, event kick-offs, and company annual meetings.

Once we're well-known, businesses will proactively contact our Literary and Art Department. Ninety percent of the income will go directly to the individuals involved. Studying while earning money—doesn't that sound great?

Isn't this much better than going out to work part-time on your own, only to be deceived and exploited by outsiders?

And I can assure everyone of the following—

First, income distribution will be open and transparent. You'll receive exactly what you're due. I don't need you to make money for me; on the contrary, I might even subsidize you when I'm in a good mood.

Second, I will secure training venues for everyone. I'll also address issues like missed classes and grade drops resulting from training and performances.

Simply put: any leave request I sign will be approved by your academic advisor when you submit it.

As long as you're a key talent in the Literary and Art Department, you won't have to worry about failing courses.

Third, the better your performances, the higher I can elevate your platform.

If you genuinely have the talent to stage a 'Thousand-Hand Guanyin' performance, then appearing on TV, performing at galas, or even touring internationally will not be an issue.

Fourth, if we become friends, then whether it's official business or personal matters, don't hesitate to come to me.

My abilities might be limited, and I can't solve many major problems.

But I'm only nineteen this year, and friendship lasts a lifetime. Who knows when I might be able to help, right?

Okay, next, I'll discuss my expectations for everyone—

First, follow the rules.

Do what you're supposed to do, take the money you're entitled to, and don't cause trouble.

Second, know your limits.

Those with talent should prepare performances. Those with pretty faces should join the Etiquette Team. Those who are tall with long legs should join the Modeling Squad. If you have none of these qualities, don't try to squeeze into the Literary and Art Department.

Third, focus.

Members of the Literary and Art Department only need to concentrate on training, continuously innovate, and maintain competitiveness.

Leave the rest to the professionals.

Publicity, external relations, and organization—our fellow departments can provide solid support. We are performers; our true mettle is proven on stage.

...

Well then, that's pretty much what I wanted to discuss with everyone.

After this meeting, please ensure this information is accurately conveyed. Spread the word far and wide, and encourage more artistic talents to sign up.

The new Literary and Art Department is an excellent place not only to earn money but also to gain fame.

Once we're on the right track, not only will we not need to use the student council's funds, but we'll also be able to contribute back, creating a win-win situation for everyone.

So, thank you, everyone!"

As Han Lie nodded slightly, a warm burst of applause erupted from below.

Beyond clapping, many people were cheering exuberantly.

"Brother Lie is awesome!"

"Brother Lie, Brother Lie, you're the coolest~~~"

Well, that was a quick turnaround... Yu Xueqin's body isn't even cold yet, and you're all already acknowledging a new boss. Is that appropriate?

The students found it quite appropriate. What was personal affection compared to tangible benefits? When Yu Xueqin was in charge, everyone bitterly fought over the 20,000 yuan in funding. Now, Brother Lie had arrived, not only bringing 100,000 Dayang but also a new Literary and Art Department that sounded incredibly lucrative. How could the two compare?

At this moment, everyone had completely forgotten Yu Xueqin and instead started to fawn over Han Lie.

"Brother Lie, you're so cool!"

"Brother Lie, does the Literary and Art Department still need someone to run errands and do the grunt work?"
