Zhou Ci's idea made everyone howl with excitement.

The group laughed wildly, thrilled and expectant, eagerly waiting until 10 p.m. sharp.

Zhou Ci sent another lackey downstairs to watch the window of Room 404 from outside.

"Brother Zhou, the light's off!"

Zhou Ci instructed over the phone, "Alright, you keep watch. Report to me the moment the light turns on!"

Xiao Cheng and Huang Wei weren't involved in their plan and listened from the sidelines.

Hai Tao suddenly asked, "What if it's Ding Ding and Xiao Dongbei?"

Dan Zihao waved his hand dismissively. "They've gone out to have fun with several of our classmates. They definitely won't be back tonight. If they do show up, Gang Zi will let me know."

Da Niu Zi was still a bit concerned. "I heard Xiao Dongbei say that Fang Ge and Liu Ge from the sophomore year really like Han Lie?"

"Bullshit!"

Dan Zihao curled his lip scornfully. "That bit of camaraderie on the field? Means jackshit."

Zhou Ci smiled. "Don't worry. Besides us brothers, no one knows I'm going after Han Lie. Zihao and I haven't left the building for two days, all for this moment. Today, no one can stop us from taking that dumbass down, mark my words!"

"Yeah!"

Everyone was ecstatic, rubbing their hands together, eagerly awaiting the moment.

They ended up waiting until 10:45 p.m., but the light in Room 404 still hadn't come on.

Dan Zihao was on edge.

"Damn it, that son of a bitch isn't skipping out, is he?"

Just as his impatience peaked, the lackey suddenly called.

"Boss, someone's back in Room 404!"

Dan Zihao's spirits lifted, and he quickly messaged Gang Zi, "You guys still out having fun?"

"Yeah, we're all still out. What's up, Brother Zihao?"

"Nothing, just have fun!"

Zhou Ci clapped his hands, grabbed a steel pipe, and roared with laughter. "Perfect! Everything's ready!"

Dan Zihao raised his arm and shouted, "Brothers, 10:59 p.m. sharp, follow me out! After we take care of that dumbass, I'll treat everyone to a wild time at the Colorful Era!"

The main instigators kept their voices down, letting out a few muffled WHOOPS of excitement.

Time crawled inexorably toward 11 p.m.

When Han Lie returned to the dorm, the two younger guys were, unsurprisingly, still out partying.

Having already showered at MW and enjoyed a massage from Lious, Han Lie was a bit tired but mostly felt relaxed and thoroughly refreshed.

Bedtime at 11 p.m. sharp!

After changing into his pajamas, Lie Ge stretched luxuriously, feeling that the day had been simply wonderful.

Sure, I'm an extra 1.5 million in debt, but is owing Pan Ge really 'debt'? We got along so 'pleasantly' that she didn't even make me sign an IOU. That's just pocket money!

He glanced at his phone. Little Pan was surprisingly quiet, probably sulking at home.

She's the classic type—all smiles to your face while cursing you behind your back. After forcing a smile all evening, she definitely needs some private space to cool off...

The sly dog grinned. Looking up, he suddenly spotted two new hanging rings attached to the ceiling.

Expansion bolts secured stainless steel rings, one on the left and one on the right, about a meter apart.

Han Lie slapped his forehead, remembering Old Wang's call from that afternoon.

A quick search revealed a complete set of white silk bands, combination rings, and straps on Huang Wei's desk.

Intrigued, Lie Ge pulled everything out and began to set them up.

Old Wang was pretty reliable; he'd provided almost everything one could possibly need, useful or not, allowing for any combination.

Han Lie hung up the white silk bands first.

Once secured, their height was adjustable, and the full three-and-a-half-meter clearance gave Han Lie plenty of room to exercise.

From gymnastics-style ring exercises to extreme sit-ups, they could accommodate basically any workout.

Lie Ge was extremely satisfied and decided he'd praise Old Wang tomorrow.

The single layer of white silk looked deceptively thin, but once properly secured, it could effortlessly withstand over 500 kilograms of tension, no matter how much he thrashed about.

Plus, it didn't chafe his hands—much better than safety webbing.

The only problem was...

Han Lie couldn't quite figure out how to rig the hanging rings.

Normally, you'd tie a dead knot on each side and then attach handgrips.

But now, the single strip of white silk passed through both rings, its end secured to a buckle with a dead knot, dangling in mid-air. It didn't look like exercise equipment, but more like...

An idea flashed through Han Lie's mind: he suddenly remembered those god-tier grandpas in the park with their 'suicide-style' workouts.

So, he eagerly gave it a try.

Stepping onto a chair, he put his head through the loop, spread the bottom of the silk band to increase the contact area, and nestled it under his chin.

Then, he slowly stepped forward off the chair...

YOWZA!

It actually worked!

Bored out of his mind, Lie Ge successfully suspended himself. He dangled in mid-air, feeling a slight constriction, but it wasn't painful at all.

Right, what part of the body were those grandpas trying to exercise by hanging themselves like that, anyway?

Han Lie couldn't figure it out, but that didn't dampen his spirits one bit.

His only regret was—too bad my brother-in-law isn't back, otherwise he could've taken a picture for me...

Just as he was happily dangling, CLICK, the lights went out.

Lame.

Lie Ge felt his fun spoiled. He was about to get down, tidy up, and go to bed when suddenly he heard a rustling at the door.

Are Xiao Dongbei and that good-for-nothing brother-in-law back?

Han Lie instinctively let his head droop, relaxed his toes and hands, and hung there motionless.

The next second, the dorm room door was slammed open with a BANG, and several people rushed in.
