Chapter 121 I'll Show You What Cruelty Is!
Huang Wei thought hard but still didn't dare to provoke Han Lie.
Those two scares, to this day, still sent shivers down his spine whenever he recalled them.
On the contrary, the current three so-called big shots from his own year could make him wary, but not truly afraid.
My family might not be as wealthy as yours, but what can you really do to me?
Huang Wei was just trying to avoid being isolated by all the big shots in his cohort, so he kept his patience.
"Bros, why do you have to be at odds with Han Lie?"
"Damn!"
Dan Zihao was furious; he felt like Han Lie had played him.
Last time in the cafeteria, he was already acting all high and mighty, and then in Room 204, he fucking distanced himself from it all. But in reality?
Holding hands and feeding each other sausages—who could be as disgustingly lovey-dovey as you two?!
"I fucking can't swallow this!"
Huang Wei found it ridiculous. "Over Pan Ge? They're fucking together already, what the hell are you so worked up about?"
"You don't understand shit!"
Zhou Ci was also unusually agitated, his handsome face contorted.
That's Pan Ge! Marrying her means cutting fifty years off the struggle! My aunt finally scored me this opportunity, and Auntie Zhao doesn't even dislike me. So why should some bumpkin from out of town swoop in and steal her?!
"Huang Wei, we're not asking you to lift a finger. Just give us the dorm key, and you can sit back and enjoy the show. Didn't you have an unpleasant time with that asshole as well? Now we're offering to get revenge for you, what are you hesitating for?"
"Damn!"
Huang Wei was pissed off too. "Use my key to open the door, and if anything happens, it has nothing to do with me?"
"How could it have anything to do with you?"
Kong Yize couldn't stand it anymore, looking down on Huang Wei with contempt. "Look at your fucking cowardly ass. What, is he going to kill you or something?"
Kong Yize was strong and muscular. At 188 centimeters tall and weighing at least 180 kilograms, he was the most formidable fighter in their cohort at the School of International Communications.
But Huang Wei still didn't back down.
"Look, what business is it of yours whether Han Lie and Pan Ge are dating or not? Why are you sticking your nose into this?"
Kong Yize sneered and cracked his knuckles. "I heard from their classmates that prick is also messing around with Xi Luting; he's quite the player. Daddy Ze here specializes in dealing with players. What's up, Blondie, wanna try me?"
PAH!
Huang Wei spat disdainfully, his rebellious and unruly demeanor looking quite dashing.
He squinted at Dan Zihao with contempt and said, "Dan, what's the meaning of this? You want to bring students from another class to attack your own classmate?"
When rich kids like them fought, it was never about truly subduing one another. Even if they were scared deep down, they would never admit it. Who hasn't taken a beating before, right?
This internal conflict was nothing like the shock Han Lie had delivered to the bros before. Its intensity was limited, and the consequences were controllable. Even if they couldn't win the fight, they could still reason things out.
What about Han Lie?
Pure psycho!
He doesn't mess with knives; he swings hammers. With that blank, wooden look in his eyes, he genuinely doesn't care if he kills someone—who would dare provoke that?
Dan Zihao was infuriated.
Why the hell is that bastard Huang Wei being so stubborn?
However, he really couldn't do anything to Huang Wei. Huang Wei was a buddy from their own class who got along well with everyone. If Kong Yize dared to make a move, the two followers he brought wouldn't be happy either.
"Young Master Huang!"
Dan Zihao took a deep breath and patiently played the emotional card. "How have I treated you, brother? Remember that gathering with the students from the Drama School? I didn't bring anyone else, just you, right?"
Huang Wei immediately softened.
The rebellious Blondie sighed, frantically scratching his head. "Old Dan, I'm fucking doing this for your own good! Why do you have to go head-to-head with Han Lie? If you don't believe me, ask Xiaocheng and the others—that dude is not normal!"
Xiaocheng interjected sternly, "Call him 'Brother Hao'!" He was afraid Huang Wei had gotten too used to saying 'Old Dan' behind his back and would slip up to his face.
Dan Zihao, Zhou Ci, and Kong Yize stared at Xiaocheng like he was an idiot.
"You guys don't understand." Xiaocheng shook his head, his gaze distant, as if reliving that conflict. "Brother Lie is definitely unhinged. No matter how normal he seems on the surface, deep down, he's not a normal person."
PFFT!
Kong Yize burst out laughing, shaking his head dismissively.
Xiaocheng ignored him and solemnly reminded Dan Zihao, "Brother Hao, you'll understand once you've seen that kind of emotionless, hollow look in his eyes."
"It's true!" Pu Haitao, another classmate who had been scared to tears with Blondie last time, chimed in seriously. "That guy, with a claw hammer in one hand and Buddhist scriptures in the other, his eyes staring straight at you as if he's looking at a piece of dead meat. Muttering some ominous chants, like 'Rope prison, whipping, solitary confinement, punishment cell. Thus have I heard. What suffering is there in death?' or something like that, his voice was flat and robotic. Damn, it really scared the piss out of us that day!"
Dan Zihao had a vivid imagination. Listening to Hai Tao's graphic description, scenes began to form in his mind. And indeed, he had seen that eerie gaze of Han Lie's. That day in the cafeteria, when Han Lie had stared straight at him for two or three seconds, that look was genuinely sinister. For a moment, he hesitated.
Zhou Ci couldn't envision such a scene and was somewhat skeptical. But being the most insidious and self-preserving of them all, he had never intended to take the lead and planned to let Kong Yize charge ahead.
Kong Yize was the least afraid. "Tch! A psycho? So fucking what! Might is right! When we face him, I'll take him on with one hand!"
"Heh heh..." Huang Wei chuckled softly.
That day, there were a total of six people in dorm room 404: Huang Wei, Ding Ding, Little Northeast, Xiaocheng, Hai Tao, and Big Bull.
With Xiaocheng and Hai Tao having spoken up, Big Bull, not wanting to be outdone, also chimed in to try and persuade them.
