As soon as Damion sat down at his desk he pulled up the notifications from the Magic System. He gained more than 100,000 credits for the Store and on top of that he also gained over 2,000 experience points. He did not know how much he would need to increase the System from level 3 to 4 yet, but he felt that what he just gained would go a long way.

After clearing out the Magic System notifications, Damion set about studying his new spells. He could not cast them inside the dormitory, but that did not preclude him from viewing the magic seals in his mind and examining them. He would have liked to ask Elicia for her spells as well, but he already knew from the System that if he learned spells before acquiring the affinity, he would not be able to complete the quest for learning spells once he acquired the affinity.

Arica's spells were both fascinating and terrifying. Exile in particular. This was no doubt it was the trump card of Spatial mages and it started Damion's mind wondering what a tier 5 Ice spell would be capable of. He might not be able to banish a person from existence, but he had a feeling freezing over an entire city would not be outside the realm of possibilities. Now he was beginning to understand what Mage Teft had meant by, if an S Rank wanted to kill him, he would already be dead.

"Do you think he will be gone long?" Arica asked Elicia after Damion retreated to his study.

"We'll see him when he goes out in the afternoon for his magic exercise."

"Magic exercise?"

"Every morning, he goes out and does physical exercise and then after classes are done for the day he does magic exercise. Would you like to join in? I usually do; it is pretty good practice."

"Perhaps. I got permission from Dean Teft to be here, but it might still cause problems, people not recognizing me, and we don't exactly have uniforms in the Mage Association, I'm afraid it might be somewhat awkward for students to see me out there with you all."

"You can borrow one of my attendant outfits."

"No. That might lead to even more questions. Though, it might be interesting to have one of those."

"For what?" Elicia asked.

Her attendant uniforms were nothing special. They were not even enchanted like the normal school uniforms. She could not think of a reason that Arica would want one of her uniforms.

"Well, we are about the same size, so yours should fit me alright, and I was thinking it might be fun for some roleplaying."

"You aren't thinking of trying to seduce Damion are you," Elicia said, the fire in her voice caused Arica to quickly clarify what she wanted the uniform for.

"Not for Damion. For the guy I'm dating in the Mage Association. He was a commoner student like me, but never an elite, so he didn't have an attendant. He's joked a few times about wishing he'd had one, though I don't think he realizes what goes on behind closed doors."

"I… don't know what you mean."

"Please. I know the last time I was in Argentum, when we went into the labyrinth, you two weren't sleeping together. But I can tell you two are now."

"And that doesn't make you mad?"

"Why would it make me mad? Wait, you don't think I like Damion, do you?"

"Well…"

"I first meet Damion when he was 15 and I was 19. I thought he was odd and nice and insanely talented for a knight and a lot of other things, but I never sought anything romantic with him. He's more of a little brother."

"But now he is a mage. That didn't make you want to reconsider how you saw him?"

"Not in the slightest. Though, now that you mention it, I am curious how he is in bed. Care to share?"

Elicia's face went red, and Arica laughed at her embarrassment.

"I'm just teasing," Arica said, calming Elicia down a bit. "I'm glad Damion has someone like you. He may not have shown it, but he took the death of his family hard. And looking at him now… well, I'm glad to see he is moving forward and not dwelling on the past."

"You are really happy for us?" Elicia questioned. She had been worried about what Damion's friends would call her. Especially those that knew what attendants did for their charges. Gold-digger was often the nicest thing some people had to say about attendants.

"He is my friend. And he is happy with you. So, of course I am happy for you both."

"In that case, tell me about this commoner mage you are dating in the Association."

"Well, Arnold is not the brightest guy you've ever met, and unlike Damion who, is perfectly handsome, don't get me wrong, but he's just average height, and average build…"

"You haven't seen him with his shirt off," Elicia teased. "Damion is seriously ripped. He gives off the simple easy-going vibe, but he is just hiding how well built he is."

"Arnold is over two meters tall," Arica said with a mirthful smile.

"So, you like them big," Elicia told her.

"Yep. And the rest of him is just as well endowed."

Elicia was about to counter Arica's claim of her beau's superiority to Damion when she heard the study door open.

"What are you two talking about?" Damion asked.

"Nothing," Elicia and Arica both quickly said.

"Sorry, I was just going to go out and practice my casting early today. I thought maybe the two of you would like to join me."

"Why are you going out early?"

"The other students all have classes. The only ones that don't are ones that failed the Wilderness Survival exam and were brought back early. I figured there would be less people to bother us."

"Well, that does sound like a good idea," Arica said hopping up and tossing Damion the Iblis spatial artifact, which quickly vanished into the Magic System Inventory with all his other valuable possessions.

A few minutes later, the trio was outside in the grass by Damion's dormitory. Since Arica did not have much in the way of offensive spells, she was making use of several artifacts. Even though Arica had reached C Rank, she was still not as strong as Damion, so the two girls pitted themselves against the Ice mage.

Damion could have evened the numbers by letting Phil join in, but he sent the Snow Hawk off to hunt. Instead, he summoned his Ice Clone, which Arica had the displeasure of fighting while Damion squared off against Elicia.

After an hour of sparring, Arica and Elicia were exhausted, while Damion was barely out of breath. They lay on the grass resting for a bit, before Phil returned and they headed back to Damion's dormitory.

When they entered the dormitory, they found that someone had made quite the mess.
