REBORN - MHA: Vongola X

Chapter 20: You need help.

Third Person POV

"Where the hell am I? I'm sure we came this way. Everything looks the same. And I can't even ask for directions cause our rooms don't have any numbers." Dante cried

"Ahhh, I blame that arrogant old man. Thinking he's so amazing with his throne and armed guards. And freaking butler. It wasn't even that cool." He spat, lying to himself.

"I don't want to be your heir anyway. I wouldn't want it even if he begged me to take it." He lied again.

"You know what, watch me burn this place down soon. About 'just give up'." He promised

"He's lucky I respect the elderly. Otherwise, I would have kicked him off that stupid chair and thrown it at his face." He justified.

He knew full well, he was probably going to get his ass kicked had he tried something. He saw those guards, they were practically looking for an excuse to beat someone.

'But I don't know why I felt comfortable leaving mum all alone there.' Dante wondered, completely disregarding the existence of his father in that same scenario.

'I felt like she would be fine. And that old man, despite his rude comment and behaviour, I can't seem to bring myself to hate him.' Dante pondered.

The guards around watched as a child, barely a meter tall walked onwards while displaying what seemed to be signs of extreme bipolar disorder or the early stages of a mental breakdown.

One minute, the child seemed sad, depressed and tired. The next, he is angry and shouting about his assaulting some innocent elderly person with a chair. Then the next second, laughing out loud like a maniac repeatedly chanting, "Watch me burn it down. HAHAHAHAH. Watch me burn it all down."

Then, he circles back into depression. It was a worrying cycle that made the observers concerned for his well-being.

One guard couldn't take it anymore and approached the kid in thought, looking back at his comrades as if to say,'I know what to do. I've got this.'

Then, he stopped the kid and handed him a business card, patting him on the shoulder , nodding his head, and smiled reassuringly.

Then, walked back to his comrades proudly as though he had just saved the world.

"What did you give him?" Someone asked curiously

"My therapist's business card. She's expensive, but worth it." He responded proudly

"You dumbass." One of his colleagues sighed while facepalming.

"Wait. Don't Vongola employees get free healthcare, which includes mental health?" Someone asked

"Yes, they do." Another confirmed with a sigh of helplessness at his comrade's stupidity.

"Also, you handed him a business. What is he supposed to do with that? Give it to his parents? What kind of kid wants to go to therapy." Asked a guard rhetorically.

"You better hope he is not the child of someone important. You basically said their child is in desperate need of therapy and that he is so "special" that even the world's best health specialists in the Vongola company can't help." He continued to explain.

'Oh shit.' Thought the guard. Panicked at the words of his colleagues.

"Sorry to break it to you bro, but he is most definitely the son of someone important. Last I checked, it wasn't bring your son or daughter to work day. Yet, this kid is walking around the place freely without the alarms being set off."

Hearing their words, the guard that had handed the Dante the business started sweating profusely. What they said was most likely true. One couldn't just walk around the mansion so freely, even they themselves couldn't do what this kid was doing so causally without triggering the alarms.

He had the urge to go tackle the kid and quickly take the card from his hand and rip it apart before anyone else saw it.

"Oh wow, guys, guys, guys. 3 o'clock." A guard alerted stopping their discussion.

To their right, they spot a couple coming their way.

"Are those who I think it is?" Another guard asked.

"It's Master Ezio and Lady Hinata." A guard whispered.

"Oh damn, oh damn, I'm so finished. It's over for me." The guard started to panic even more.

"Calm down bro, calm down, maybe he's not their kid and they are just passing through." A guard whispered while slowly pulling away from him.

"Yeah, maybe." He stared at the couple with hopeful eyes. Praying that they are just passing through.

"Stop, son. You are going the wrong way." The man shouted as they hasty approached the kid.

Shuttering the little hope he was holding on to.

'He's fucked." His fellow guards thought, distancing themselves from him.

"Why's this place so needlessly large." Ezio cursed.

"Son, how could you just-

"What is that you are holding there?" Ezio stopped and asked when he noticed his child holding a card he didn't have previously.

Upon hearing this, the guards further distanced themselves from their colleague, their gazes darting around the surroundings with such intensity and focus that one would be forgiven in believing the mansion was under attack.

Dante glanced at the guard that gave him the card. The guard's eyes were glued to him. Nothing was said but a whole book's worth of information was conveyed Dante could tell from the sad and desperate look carved onto his face and his tear-filled eyes continuously begging him to have mercy.

'Puppy dog eyes? With your ugly face? You might actually give the kid trauma.' A guard questioned shocked.

'The kid might actually need therapy after seeing this.' His colleagues thought in unison.

"It's nothing, just something to help me deal with you." Dante replied.

"What?? You little.. That's clearly a therapist's business card. Who gave you that and why?" Ezio asked despite already noticing the lone guard shaking and swearing profusely at every question he asked.

"Just a helpful samaritan that noticed the pain and trauma you've caused me." Dante sighed with a face that looked as though he had experienced a lot of hardship.

'I may not know who you are but thank you. Oh, thank you.' The guard praised and thanked the little boy for sparing his life. His body still trembling, barely able to continue standing.

"You little pipsqueak. I will give you something to be traumatised about." Ezio threatened.

"Dante, try not to wander around this place too much. It's designed to confuse possible intruders so it's easy to get lost." Hinata finally integrated and warned.

"Yeah, and how could you leave your mother and I just like that?" Ezio questioned rhetorically.

"You wouldn't understand. Being cool comes at a price." Dante sigh

"Besides I knew Mum could handle herself, you on the other hand had me worried." Dante said cheerfully like he was happy to see him alive.

"That it, you little-

"Anyway, Dante let's go back to our rooms and rest. You have a big day tomorrow. You are going to negotiate for your training resources." Hinata stopped Ezio again and explained.

"What he agreed after what he said and what I did? Also, do you mean I have to negotiate? Why are we negotiating and even if we are, why do I have to be the one to do it? " Dante fired in succession.

"Yeah, he agreed. The old man was just messing about. And you can't even take a joke. What a sad excuse for a son." Ezio explained with a sigh.

Before Dante could retort Hinata interjected "As for the negotiation it is normal in most families for a child to argue their case when they want something above the norm. The Vongola just have a more formal approach. As for why we are not negotiating for you it's because we are not the ones requesting the resources but you. Do it yourself." as they walked on.

"What? But I'm a child. Not even 6 yet and you want me to negotiate with a head of a powerful company. You are my parents my legal guardians shouldn't you be in charge of this?" Dante asked.

Although this way was beneficial and preferred because it would allow him more freedom and he could create a training plan better suited to his situation. But it was still weird.

"True. But what can I say that's the way the Vongola have always done things." Ezio shrugged.

"Don't worry son you will do great." Hinata assured as they reached their destination.
