Reborn in The Vampire Diaries/TO/Novel TVD With the World

Chapter 5: Wiccans

As Samael and Elena were standing before a house in Oak Street, Mystic Falls, Virginia, he gave her one more look, questioning her with it whether she was ready or not, to which she gave a slight nod.

'Well, here goes nothing,' Sam thought to himself as he knocked on the door several times.

Soon enough the door was opened and before them was Sheila Bennett, the grandmother of Bonnie Bennett.

She had a kind smile on her face as she widened the door and stepped aside,

"Come in. I have been expecting you two," She told them.

The couple looked surprised at this, Sam more than Elena. They reluctantly entered.

As they did Sheila approached Sam and cupped his face in her hands with great grandmaternal love, "It is good to see you my boy. It has been a while since you both visited me."

"You are confused," She commented as she stepped away, seeing his frown at her actions.

"I... I indeed am." Samael confirmed.

"Why?" Sheila questioned as she started to pour tea for the three of them.

"I don't know. I thought..." Samael began but went silent. He hasn't told Elena yet and didn't know If he even should right now.

"That I would despise you as an afront towards nature because of you being a werewolf? My boy, if that was truly the case, why would I treat with hostility now when I never did before?" Sheila stated.

"Wait, werewolf? Am I missing something? Since when is Sam a werewolf?" Elena questioned confused.

"Since always Elena. It is in his blood, his nature, but it remains dormant for Samael is a good man." Sheila explains.

"To awaken what we call a werewolf gene for simplicity's sake one needs to kill a living being. And before you ask, my father explained this to me yesterday after you fell asleep." Samael explains, omitting that he knew before his father's explanation because of his previous life's memories.

"Is- is that why that Katherine person is after you? Because you're a werewolf with extra superpowers or something?" Elena questioned, though deep down she still found it insane that this was now her life. That she really was asking this question.

Sheila bringing them the tea scoffed as she put it on the table. "Katherine is but an arrogant wench. She believes she knows so much, but understands nothing of the great powers at play."

"She called me a young god. What the hell did she mean by that?" Samael questioned, needing clarification to this burning question in his mind.

"Before I answer that, am I right to assume Richard sent you both to me, to prevent any further possessions upon Elena?" Sheila questioned earning a confirming nod from both of them.

"Very well, I shall explain as I create what is needed." Sheila stated as she stood up and went to get a box, opening it as she put it on the table.

"Could you please give me your necklace my dear?" Sheila asked Elena, who reached for it and for a moment held it, clutching her hand around it as she looked at Samael who gave her a nod.

She reluctantly took of the necklace gifted to her by Samael for her birthday and gave it to Sheila who gently took and began working on it.

"What Katherine told you... It's about a prophecy. But before you understand the prophecy you need to understand why it came into being.

It has to do with the greatest transgression against nature in history.

The birth of the vampire curse." Sheile stated as she put some powder and a liquid substance inside the bowl the necklace was put in.

"The birth of vampires?" Elena muttered to herself in shock.

"How long ago is that?" Sam questioned, wanting to get the facts straight.

Sheila was silent for a moment, "Elena, could you be a dear and allow me to prick a drop of your blood into the bowl?" Sheila asked her, with her a knife in hand.

Elena was a bit startled because of the change of topic, but hesitantly did as told. Sheila put her thumb against the point-end of the knife, eliciting a small sound of pain as a Elena then raised her thumb above the bowl, allowing a bit of her blood to drop within it.

"This story is one I have heard from the Bennett Ancestors, we are one of the oldest families in the world, but even to us the complete truth is a mystery." Sheila began as she gave Elena a handkerchief, the girl gladly taking it and holding it in her hand, pressing her thumb in it.

"I can not explain to you all the details of what happened, or how it even happened. But from what we know is that this dates past to atleast before the Pyramids.

There was a family, some say they were human, some say they never were, nobody truly knows the complete truth.

All we know is that this family is the first generation of vampires. What we do know for sure is that it has the hands of Satan all over it. He-"

"Wait, Satan? As in, fallen guy, rebel against literal capital G, God?" Elena questioned in disbelief.

Sheila nodded, while Sam clenched his fist, his knuckles pale, because this was once more too much like the novel, making his TV Show knowledge far more obsolete.

"We do not know what he did, whether he turned some humans into those beasts, or that he was a mere catalyst for their existence, but one thing we know for sure, they are even beyond his control.

But-"

"Grandmother, sorry for interrupting, from what I understand till now is that this prophecy is about these vampires, but what about Satan?" Sam questioned, fiddling with his ring. This whole story is making him more uneasy by the moment.

"Satan is a non-matter. He is locked up in the Pit. His interference that time was a special matter that is not easily replicated. And before you ask, that is all I know. Knowledge of how to summon Satan is forbidden to be known widely in fear of the great catastrophes It would cause, so I know not what those special circumstances were." Sheila explained.

At Samael's nod, Sheila continued, "That family these days we call, the Old Ones. They are monsterous. Where ever they go a river of blood follows. They are a plague upon this earth. So much evil on this earth has been caused by them, to write their sins would need the oceans to be inkt and all the rainforest to be turned into paper."

Sheila after stating this became silent for a moment, somber as she took a sip out of her tea.

"Nature, no, the Heavens themselves could not stand for such a scourge to remain on this earth. They were too destructive. Capable of tearing worlds, dimensions and even planets apart in the literal sens-"

"Planets?! How do you even know that?! Maybe you're wrong, the earth is still here after all." Elena stated, hysteria creeping into her voice. She already had a small idea of what this prophecy's purpose was, and thinking about the man she loved having to stand against these monsters, who apparently could destroy planets made her heartache.

"Elena, you are under a misunderstanding. The earth isn't a planet. It is infinite in its wideness. The Old World, past the limits you think there are, is... Those lands are polluted, razed to dust out of amusement of the Old Ones.

The supernatural community has therefore hidden it away, using mental magic to alter people's memories till practically all now believe the earth to be a single planet, orb shaped, spinning in space.

A planet is the size you think of it, it is but a measurement we long ago used, and the Old Ones have been sighted in their destruction of such.

They are now only careful and more incapable than before, because of their desire for food, and all the spirits of witches concentrated in this tiny planet, waiting till the corrosive presence past the walls is destroyed by the natural order of nature." Sheila explained as she finally finished her tea, Sam's and Elena's practically untouched.

Elena was in shock, fear coursing through her being, like poison as she barely kept awake and did not faint.

Samael having already known most of this was not as affected, but not much better either.

"Okay, we understand now that they're monsters, but what do they have to do with me? What is my role in all this?" Sam questioned, needing more information about this prophecy. Needing to know how much of his plan is sited within it.

"We do not truly know much about it Sam. All we know is that a savior will be born who will stand against the mighty Klaus, the mightiest and most savage among the Old Ones.

This prophecy has existed for Millennia now. The Old Ones have in the beginning slaughtered all who even could possibly fit the prophecy, but in the last centuries seem to have given up their wariness in it. Thinking it now but a fable, something people tell themselves to feel better about their lives, but I assure you, the prophecy is real.

And you are the one it is speaking of." Sheila explained seriously.

"What is the prophecy? What does it state?" Sam questioned the old witch, leaning forward in expectation.

"The prophecy... I am sorry Sam, but it has been lost. The Old Ones have destroyed every trace of it. And the ones who remember it dare not utter it in fear of retaliation from them sensing its utterance. They... They have taken their precautions." Sheila answered.

"But how do you know then, that it's Sam? How do you know he fits your prophecy?" Elena questioned confused.

"Here my dear," Sheila suddenly stated as she pulled the necklace of the bowl and handed it to Elena.

"This should prevent you from getting possessed anymore by her, so long as you keep it on." Sheila explained, as Elena gently put it on, and surprisingly, it wasn't wet, but actually felt, warm.

"To answer your question Elena, it is because one of our Ancestor Spirits who does remember the prophecy told us. They told us he fit the prophecy since his birth.

But that was merely confirmation, for we already felt greatness from him. The moment he was born the balance of the world shifted. And hope was once more felt bloom within all our hearts." Sheila explained with a more happy tone.

"You Sam, you are our savior. The one who will get us of these dark times," Sheila told him as she gripped his hand gently.

"I... But, how? If you know it, if you felt it, shouldn't they as well? Why haven't they killed me already?" Sam questioned, fearful and confused.

This was so against all he wanted. Contradicting so many parts of his plan.

"They can't exercise the great amount of power they did long ago, as I explained because of the restriction from the Other Side. We as well, have always been looking out for you, till the day you had understanding of your fate, Sam.

We, the Wiccans have always been with you in even your darkest moments, protecting you, giving you comfort, for you are our savior, our messiah,

Our god." Sheila explained, causing both Sam and Elena to fall silent unable to state anything else.

Eventually, without another word, Sam stood up and left, not able to say anything else as Elena soon after followed after him, gently waving goodbye to the old woman, who felt sorrow within her heart, for she knew that this was truly a great burden to put on someone so young...

Please comment, so that I actually know and for more motivation, because Interaction with you guys is one of the main reasons I write.

Also, Wiccans are in the novel a witches that worship something akin to a god, and well, most witches do that now when it comes to Sam. If I you want me continue, then I'll explain it more in the future.

Also did you get a reference? I hope you did and well, hopefully I'll see you all later,
