Chapter 3: Heaven... The goal is Heaven...
"Okay, so let me get this straight. There is this whole supernatural world, full of vampires, werewolves, witches, and whatever else out there that even you all don't know about?" Elena questioned, her voice borderline hysterical.
"You're all insane! Monsters?! The Supernatural?! There's no such thing!" She screamed as she fell down, seated on the sofa, still reeling in shock.
"Then how do you explain what Sam just did Elena? How do you explain us surviving that leap off the bridge and all instantly appearing unharmed on the road?" Grayson questioned, a slight look of wariness and suspicion in his tone and gaze, both thrown at Samael who was currently leaning against the wall.
"Watch your tone, Grayson! My son is not one of those monsters!" Richard Lockwood ordered. They, Sam, Elena, Tyler, and her parents have all decided on the advice of Miranda Gilbert to discuss everything at the Lockwood mansion.
"Well, he's at least another kind of freak then! He literally teleported us onto the road!"
"Saving your life you ungrateful bastard!" Richard retorted angrily.
"Enough," Samael's voice rang out, demanding, soft, but encompassing all present in its chill.
"You, all of you- the ones who were in the know, lied to me." Samael began as he advanced closer towards them.
"Son-" Carol Lockwood, Sam's mother began.
"Don't, don't you dare mother-"
"Watch how you speak boy! Talk to her with more respect! She's your mother!" Richard himself this time decided to interrupt drawing Samael's ire now full force towards himself.
"My mother!" Samael began, furious, slamming his palms onto the table and cracking it, causing all the flinch, the vampire hunters among them, now on full alert, "Has been gaslighting me for years now! All of you have!"
"Now, son, we Carol has never told you that your words were false. None of us have," Miranda stated, attempting to quell Samael's rage.
"But you never confirmed your beliefs in what I said either. You- all of you let me be the laughingstock of the town's people. None of them dared to do so to my face, but I knew all of them were mocking me as a lunatic behind their curtains.
All my fears, all my worries, you never even attempted to alleviate them by giving me the understanding of what was out there!"
"We were trying to protect yo-" Richard began,
"Protection?! You call keeping us in ignorance protection?!" Samael questioned furiously.
"You were too young! Still are!" Samael's father countered vehemently.
"Oh yeah? Well, time, and most certainly monsters wait for no one. They don't care whether I am sixteen or eighteen or even seventy! All they care about is their own sense of self!
And to correct you, dad, I may be young to your standards, but tell me, was I truly not mature enough? Wise enough?
When I, for years now have been the sole person to find out the greatest secret of this town? You truly thought I wasn't capable of handling it when I believed it already for years?
Don't mock my intelligence. You were simply too much of a coward to confront me about it, about your lies," Samael hissed, causing Richard to flinch.
"I can't even look at all of you right now," Samael stated as he walked out of the room towards outside.
"Sam!" Elena attempted to follow him, but was stopped by Tyler, he held her wrist as he shook his head towards her, conveying that it is best to leave him alone right now.
He himself was silent through the whole ordeal, still reeling from the revelations and feeling guilty for how many times he mocked his younger brother because of his research and beliefs.
As Samael furiously walked outside he stopped, and looked at the bright full moon in the sky. He was angry, furious even, but behind that very was unadulterated fear.
At first, after regaining his memories and awakening his abilities he felt, well, not exactly invincible, but great. He felt he could do anything and that with knowledge of this world he could actually have a great life as he prepared for every danger.
He could not have been more wrong.
The moment his parents and the Gilberts began speaking about the vampires and their capabilities he realised that this world isn't just the show, which he at first believed based on the fact that Elena wasn't blond.
This world was from what he could reason a mixture of the novel and the show, which meant basically if he couldn't find a solution, they were fucked six ways to Sunday.
He has not read the novel, but he has researched it out of interest, because of how much he enjoyed the show, which he also remembered mostly the most important bits from, and he knew how powerful Klaus -- the monster who wanted to literally sacrifice his girlfriend on an alter -- was.
A monster that was seen by the ones who knew of him as a dark god. One who could tear apart entire planets, dimensions and even universes if he put his mind to it. And against that- that abomination he had to fight, because he couldn't control his heart, he may be the person from his previous life, but he still has the memories of this life, its experiences.
He is still himself, he is still Samael, but just with more. More memories, more experiences, more things to love and especially more people to love. He couldn't just run away and abandon them.
Samael wanted to scream at the unfairness of it all! Why was he reborn?! Why couldn't he have gone to heaven?! Was he not good enough?! Did he not believe enough?! Do enough good deeds?!
Why must he be thrown into this world full of injustice and evil?
He instinctively summoned The World, making time stop, for he felt safest in his frozen world.
His mind was furiously at work, processing at speeds beyond mortal men and even those beyond them. Seconds to him were days, if not weeks in this state. It took a lot out of him, but he needed to think things through.
And if he was planning anything, he would rather not have anything be able to sense his thoughts, which he knew was possible in this world.
Though he did have the feeling that his memories of his previous life was protected, but he knew not if the same would apply to his knowledge of his abilities and did not wish to take that chance.
And so he thought, and planned.
His greatest boons currently were his Stand, The World, and Hamon.
Him having both meant that his being for some reason seemed to have the laws of the world of Jojo's bizarre adventure, engraved upon it. It was the only thing that made sense. If his body and soul did not follow its laws then he could not obtain a Stand, he could not obtain the Ripple(Hamon)
Which immediately gave birth to an idea, causing Samael for the first time to laugh as he saw hope.
There are two forces in that world he could obtain and make great use of.
The Spin and most prominently Heaven.
The spin was a rotational force, that one could obtain through mastery of rotating objects at the golden ratio of the universe, based on Fibonacci's findings. An energy will be bestowed upon an object that rotates at this ratio, the Spin Energy, is what it is called.
It bestows upon its wielder a great amount of power, capable of enhancing stands, and even healing the user or another.
Through this, he, with the Ripple can have some modicum of healing until his werewolf side -- which he realized he had after remembering how it was in the blood of the Lockwoods, which currently, he really did not wish to think about -- awakened.
The Spin, as such will be something he will greatly benefit from, but it still wasn't enough.
No, to go against Klaus, he needs Heaven.
Heaven is a concept, Dio Brando, reasoned after his century-long imprisonment at the bottom of the ocean by his adoptive brother, Jonathan Joestar.
He reasoned it as fate, and reasoned fate as gravity between people. As a force that draws people towards one another, and that through that he lost against his brother, for it was his fate to receive the aid he needed to defeat Dio.
Dio as such believed that to attain true surety, true peace of mind, one needed to understand that fate. To know it, and be at peace with it. Such a state Dio dubbed, Heaven.
To achieve this, he created the Heaven ritual, one, that allowed a stand to ascend and obtain it's user's greatest desire.
Samael remembers this ritual.
'It seems that all that time obsessing over Jojo and trying to understand Dio's plan had some use after all...' He mused to himself with a humorless chuckle.
To ascend one needed to prepare one's Stand, to prepare one's own soul, and to do such a thing, Dio engraved fourteen phrases on it, to act as his code upon existence, to make reality his desires.
Coincidentally, or as Dio would call it, Fate, his mother sang to him these words in a lullaby when he was a child.
Maybe it is his fate right now as well, to remember and understand them.
A ghost Town, Singularity point (x2), Hydrangea, Rhinoceros beetle (x4), Fig tart, Secret emperor, Giotto, Angel, Via Dolorosa, Spiral staircase
They all had their own significance that Samael had researched and obsessed over before. Samael, for this to work, understands he must embody them, apply them to himself.
Spiral staircase, Samael reasons, will represent the cyclical nature of his life, his death and rebirth and now his journey towards enlightenment or ascension. It means to him the upward journey toward divinity or Heaven.
Rhinoceros beetle (4x), will function as a symbol of his strength and persistence, his resilience and ability to overcome obstacles, reflecting the struggle he is going to endure to achieve Heaven.
Singularity point (2x), will refer to the moment of his future cosmic and spiritual achievement. It symbolizes the exact point where all conditions for his Heaven are met.
Secret Emperor, Samael reasons, that as an application to himself, it refers to his great destiny, as he's going to ascend, becoming the world's mightiest creature, dethroning the Dark Lord, Klaus Mikaelson himself.
Angel, refers to him becoming a being of purity and divine power. Obtaining the divine authority he seeks in his quest for Heaven.
Hydrangea, is a flower that will represent his transformation and adaptations that are necessary to obtain his ascension.
Ghost Town, will function as a symbol of his abandonment of his previous life and death. It will reflect his desire to erase the imperfections of his current being and life. His desire to abandon the weakness that stands as obstacle towards his goal.
Fig Tart, is the name of an intricate dessert. It will function as a symbol of his achievement of luxury, refinement and fruits of labor. A representation of the ultimate outcome of his hard work.
Giotto, Giotto was an artist whose art brought human emotion and realism into religious works.
In Samael's plan, this will symbolize the blending of divine ambition with earthly desires, reflecting his belief in transcending humanity while retaining its essence, as he does not wish to forget himself.
Forget for who and what he is pursuing this. That he is doing this so that he does not have to abandon her...
Via Dolorosa is the path Jesus walked to his crucifixion, symbolizing suffering, sacrifice, and redemption. Samael highlights by this the price he is paying, the trials and tribulations he will endure to achieve the ultimate goal of Heaven, to save her. Likening his journey to a holy sacrifice.
These are the fourteen phrases he must embody, and carve into his own soul, and to do that, he needs to act in accordance to the meanings he has given them.
And once this is all accomplished, Heaven will wait for him where fate is at its weakest in the world. Once the souls of thirty-six sinners is sacrificed and their great power used to destroy his Stand, nearly ripping apart his soul, Heaven will open, its light shall descend, and from it he shall be reborn.
His Stand shall become The World Over Heaven.
Reality shall be within his very palms, to knead and twist as he so wishes.
As Samael mused all this to himself he began to laugh.
"If Heaven is not something that is going to be given to me, then... Then, I'll take it for myself! Heaven! The goal will be Heaven!" Samael stated to himself in his world of stopped time as he continued to laugh with joy for what felt like days as time finally resumed.
And as it finally did, if anyone were now to lay eyes upon him would see that within his eyes a new glint had been born.
For he now had his purpose.
Heaven.

(Author note: Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed this chapter!
Apologies for the info dump, but this needed to all be explained so that you all would understand Samael's goal from now on, the purpose he now wishes to pursue to obtain the power to stand against the universe destroying calamity that is Klaus Mikaelson.
For Klaus in the novels is literally friends with Satan, who will make an appearance eventually.
I had to do a lot of research to understand Dio's plan and tweak it in a way that it would apply to someone who isn't him. That's why the chapter took so long to release.
Well, please do comment how you found it and if you still wish for me to continue it,
And I hope to see you all later,
Bye!)
