Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 195: Reborn’s unofficial ranking

No one in the Queens region would ever believe a fraction of what he planned to write in the paper. Jimmy was sure that it wouldn't even be published. His bosses would accuse him of making things up.

This was how absurd everything was in the Kings region.

After the week-long tour, they made their journey back to the Queens region via railway. It took them less than two days of travel before they arrived at the train station, welcomed by the Dragonborns and the locals of Neo Ocus.

Jimmy thanked Michael for giving him a deep insight into the inner workings of his company.

It was already late in the night, with the midnight oil burning. Yet, Jimmy couldn't sleep.

He got up off his bed and went to the desk, staring at the empty blank page in his notebook as he tried to absorb his thoughts about the Reborn company.

First of all, his previous assumptions about them were terribly wrong. He thought they were an upstart company that had their start in Neo Orcus. As it turned out, it was just their expansion. They were already well-established in the Kings region.

Even 'well-established' seemed more of an understatement. They ruled Kings region was the more appropriate term.

While the Golden 500 fought against each other to wrestle merely an inch of territory from one another in the Queens region, the Reborn company quickly took control of an entire region of their own with none the wiser.

If he were to estimate it, the Reborn company took control of about 40% of all the territories in the Royal Continent, the very land in which all of them stood right now.

This was an unprecedented amount of territory, something that the Vanderbilt business was unable to do even in its prime. Sure, they had territories all over the world, but they had never taken control of such a large space in the Royal Continent. No company was able to do so, until Reborn.

Just from this fact alone, Jimmy was sure that the Reborn company was already part of the top 250 of the Golden 500.

And that was just their territory. Jimmy wasn't even factoring in their wealth and financial power.

But, seeing how prevalent the Reborn products were in Kingsbridge and about 99 percent of the territories in the Kings region, he was sure that they were earning gold coins by the billions!

Their rate of production was truly a scary fact to consider, but that wasn't Reborn's true strength.

It was their quick dispatch and delivery.

There were a lot of companies in the Golden 500 that could produce a ton of products in a small amount of time. But, they were all limited by the fact that they could only deliver their products through carriages or peddlers.

It would take months before their entire product line was spread in the Queens region. It would take years before they could spread their products outside the continent.

But the Reborn company? Mere days or hours.

Their concrete roads and automobiles were already a large improvement compared to the best carriages used by even the wealthiest of companies.

But even cars were nothing compared to the trains and the railways.

The amount of product they could ship out in one trip was truly astounding.

For example, a traditional company handling heavy metals would take around 50 carriages spread out in five intervals to deliver a tonne of iron from one place to another. All in all, it would take about two months of travel or more depending on how far the location was.

This meant that the metal company would have to hire an entire caravan escort to guide this shipment, which would take a large amount of money to hire.

And if something were to go wrong, which often happens with shipments over the sea, then they would lose a lot of their money without gaining anything back.

In comparison, the Reborn company could do it in less than a day, at a fraction of the cost. This meant they could sell more products while losing very little from expenses.

Jimmy wrote down all of his musings in a notebook, analyzing all the strengths of the Reborn company, and came to only one conclusion: the Reborn company was already in the top 100 of the Golden 500.

He was even being conservative in his estimations. If he were being honest, then they would be even higher up on the list.

But for now, he was 1000% sure that the unofficial ranking of the Reborn company was #100.

Officially though, they were unranked just like all the up-and-coming companies in the Queens region. They would have to prove little by little that they were deserving of that top 100 spot.

"There is just one last thing…" Jimmy muttered to himself. "On the matter of security."

As a local from Angora City, he knew a lot about physical strength. After all, their city had both top-notch mages and fighters in their midst. It was all thanks to the Magic Tower and the Knightly Court in the city, nurturing amazing talent yearly.

After their graduation, they would usually get recruited by companies and businesses in need of protection. The more talented a fighter was, the better offer they would get in terms of salaries and benefits. So, only the wealthiest companies could afford the best Knights.

Some well-established companies nurture their own security, but for normal companies, recruiting Knights and Mages from the Order the Guild of Arcana was how most companies got their security.

As for the Reborn company, Jimmy did see a glimpse of them nurturing their own form of security.

And that was the Dragonborns.

Jimmy had never seen their species before and was unsure of their natural talent. But by the looks of it, they were Michael's personal security detail.

So, he decided to find out exactly how powerful these Dragonborns were.

Thankfully, it seemed that there were daily sparring sessions in Neo Orcus involving some Rebornians and the Dragonborns.
