Chapter 87: A dragon being born II
Standing only a few feet away from the dragon, Dorian proceeded.
"First, we make a pact," he raised a finger.
"Since you are far stronger than I am, in order to make it fair, if I am able to land three hits on you, I win, and you will do whatever I say. But if you are able to beat me, then you win and rule over the earth."
Lili leaned in from behind him, then whispered, "Master, what are you doing? There is no way this dragon would accept something like this. I say we kill it now."
Dorian ignored her. "No one else will get involved. Just you and I."
The dragon suddenly took a single foot out of the broken shell, the first movement it had made since it hatched.
"Three hits? I find it repulsive that a human would think such a thing is possible. But let's say for a second I refuse to play your game. Then what? Will you run from me? Or will you surrender in fear when faced against a mighty dragon such as myself?"
"If I am dead, then you will have no means of expanding your dragon empire. You either take this pact, or I kill myself. Your choice, oh great and mighty dragon." Though his tone sounded respectful, the expression on Dorian's face said otherwise.
Lili was simply panicking in the back, wondering why her master would choose to take part in something like this.
From where she stood, she could measure the dragon's power, and even she knew it was several times as large as both hers and Dorian's combined.
"Are you threatening me?" the dragon uttered, its voice calm, as red energy slowly began dancing around its body. The aura surged forward, soon surrounding Dorian.
He felt it; every second the red aura spent around him felt as though his body was going to collapse under the pressure.
Any other person would have fallen unconscious, but not him. Dorian had managed to use his own mana as a counterfeit to reduce the pressure.
Seeing that Dorian was unaffected while Lili had fallen to the ground, paralyzed from the pressure, the dragon grinned.
"Incredible. You are still standing." It took another step forward, slowly moving closer. "Very well, I accept this pact of yours."
'Bingo.' Dorian grinned internally.
Things were going according to how he had hoped. Now for the last part, which was significantly the hardest.
As the dragon took one more step, Dorian fell to the ground, his head bowed and his hands placed right in front of him.
"Oh, great dragon, I have yet another request. This is the last one, I swear."
"What is it now? I am getting tired of your charade! My body screams for a chance to fight; why deny me this by wasting my time?" the dragon's eyes roared with anger.
"I can understand why you're angry, it's just…" Dorian raised his head a bit. "There is this god who claims no other being can ever surpass it. Currently, with the dragons gone, it has chosen to rule over Earth and take the place of the dragons as Earth's ruler."
"What?" The dragon showed a sign of disgust.
It was working. Dorian had its attention. So, he continued.
"When asked by we lowly humans, the god would state, 'Even the dragons cannot defy me.' I find it insulting. I fed you my mana for a long time; as such, I don't think I can pass up this opportunity."
"Are you stating you would rather I fight this god, than you?"
"Oh no, I intend to keep my end of the deal. However, I would like for this god to watch as we fight, so he will be left speechless by your superiority."
Silence settled.
"Very well. Bring this god here. They may watch me. I grant you permission."
Dorian was so close to cracking his mask, but he quickly held himself back, knowing the job was nowhere near done yet.
"Because of where we are, in order to summon this god, we will need to recite a very small phrase. Please do repeat after me and pay it no mind."
The dragon raised its brow in confusion, but it didn't ask any questions. As long as it got to fight Dorian, it was ready to put up with the annoyance.
Thus, Dorian began, his head facing the ground.
"Oh great god of the sky, a pact shall be made in your name."
"Oh great god of the sky, a pact shall… be made… in your name?" The dragon scowled. "What is this?"
Dorian had the craziest grin on his face, but since his head was towards the ground, it was hidden from the dragon.
"Please pay it no mind. The god is quite the egotist," he cleared his throat. "A pact shall be made in your name, Dragon God, decide for the laws of this pact and grant with it your divine judgment."
"Dragon God?"
"Yes, I wish for you to see this through. Please say so. The God of Gamble watches right now."
"Is that so—"
The dragon looked to the dark sky, as if expecting to see a figure above. It could indeed sense a presence watching it, though faint; it was there.
'Of course, that presence is just the people watching from outside, but this fool doesn't know this. Hurry up and accept.'
"Very well." The dragon took another step forward. "A pact shall be made in your name, Dragon God, decide for the laws of this pact and grant with it your divine judgment."
Dorian's eyes glowed with a red, menacing hue as the dragon uttered those last words.
Slowly, like a beast with steam flowing from his mouth, he raised his head.
"Yakum."
The dragon was instantly unguarded after seeing the evil expression on Dorian's face.
Although it was already too late by then.
Dorian had clenched his fist and charged forward, using all his strength to send a punch to the dragon's face.
The impact sent the dragon flying and crashing to the ground, before finally coming to a stop after covering a large amount of distance.
'Holy fuck, that hurt. But that's one hit down, two to go.'
Dorian withdrew his smoking fist and turned his gaze to the sky. He could see the two towers merged into one, representing the pact he had just made with the dragon.

Dorian threw on an anxious chuckle.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we might be fucked."
He watched as the dragon slowly stood to its feet, with not even a hint of restraint.
To think Dorian had hit it as hard as he could and yet…
'I just need to land two more hits. That is all. Should be easy enough.'
Multiple flames burned around him in the shape of a circle, and each one was aimed directly at the dragon.
"I see. So you are not as weak as I had thought. No matter, this can be an easy fix." The dragon was now fully standing, its form changing into a more masculine physique.
Not only was it taller with more muscles, but all the feminine attributes were gone as well, including the shaped breasts on its chest.
"Now then, this form should be more fitting. Let's settle this, man to man."
