"Huiniang, save me please!" Seeing Luo Huiniang running on her own, Gu Yumei frantically cried out in fear, begging her for help.

Although Luo Huiniang didn't like Gu Yumei, she knew what would happen to her if she fell into these people's hands, and she couldn't just stand by and watch her die. Gritting her teeth, she drew her machete and confronted Yang Laosan and the others: "People from our village are coming soon. You won't be able to escape. Release Gu Yumei, now!"

While uttering her threats, she searched frantically for the poison Gu Jinli had given her, but it was nowhere to be found, likely dropped on the road.

Qin Er Lang dodged, and Luo Huiniang was thrown to the ground, rolling down a slope into the mountainside.

Qin Er Lang watched in horror and quickly gave chase... He knew the mountains well and was aware that beneath that slope was a natural deep pit as deep as a cliff; if she fell in, she would likely lose her life.
