Reborn As An SSS-Ranked Assassin Armed With Modern Weapons

Chapter 77: New Talent/Skill

His armour was slightly disoriented but it was working perfectly. The blast's heat had caused it to burn like fire. And that forced him to get rid of it before it burned his skin and gets impaled.

But this still was unable to stop him from burning, the clothes without the armour had burned sticking to his clothes.

Ash tried to clean his wounds on the back but there were some areas he couldn't reach, so he let them be.

Jessie was recovering from his poison effects, her body was returning from the vitality. Ash needed her the most at the time, her healing spell would help him get rid of this intense pain.

He threw the armor aside letting it cool down in meantime.

the spear was still inside his leg, Ash hoping for Jessie to wake up and heal that wound.

On the other hand, he had a D-rank core that was helping him recover the MP faster.

Now there was nothing else to do apart from waiting for her to get up.

[Skill choice available]

[Talent choice available]

Ash had two choices to make, It was time to sat a feet on accelerator, he couldn't keep dragging himself around without any purpose.

The thing he realised in this world, from the Forest where he woke up, or the actions of settlement's commander.

Even after that many Events had occurred, from guild trial to getting investigated and facing the dungeon break and now this terrible beast.

In all this events, one thing was clear—only the power reigned supreme in this world. And every thing else looked secondary.

He looked towards the screen seeing The skill options.

[1. Venom Genesis: Ash channels raw mana into his blood, synthesizing unique poisons mid-combat. Allows the creation of up to three custom toxins with distinct effects: Paralysis, Madness, or Bloodburn.

Bonus Effect: If "Poison Master" is active, crafted toxins gain 100% increased potency and may bypass poison resistance for 3 seconds.

Cost: 5 MP/second

2. Reaper's Mirage: Creates an afterimage that mimics Ash's movements, confusing enemies, Gets busted on attacks.

Cost: 40 MP/ Mirage and 3 MP/Second to keep the Mirage going.

3. Domain Collapse: Converts "King's Domain" into a deadly field of corrosion. All enemies within the aura take high passive damage from poison.

Bonus Effect: Enemies that die inside the domain feed Ash's MP by 10% each.

Cost: None]

Ash had a deep breath realising that, his skill options were highly influenced by his class—venomblade.

First skill was to provide him with special traits of poison. He was not leaning towards it, for some reason he felt that he could get all these traits from some other ways just like he got Corrosion trait from scorpion core.

While he was intrigued by the reaper's Mirage, having a skill to confuse enemies was useful. But was it worth it for 40 MP and on top of that 3 MP/second to keep it going.

He wasn't very sure if that, and not when there was a more solid option, 'Domain collapse'.

A perfect option while facing multiple strong enemies, if the system said high passive damage then he was sure it was quite high.

There was one more thing to consider, the cost to use MP was none. Using King's domain would automatically trigger it to work.

And on whomever he chooses to use skills on will automatically be Targeted by poison unless he decides otherwise. And 10% MP return was an extra boom that could make an infinite loop if the enemy's are of very low level.

For example if an horde of E-rank beast comes to attrack...Ash could just casting King's domain which will make them affected by the poison and almost all of them would die with it giving him 10% of maximum Exp back.

That would recover MP used to cast King's domain making it a loop.

[Domain collapse has been acquired]

Ash decided having no second thoughts. Then there were very interesting Talent options.

[1. Iron Will: Converts Ash's total Willpower into an Anti-Magic Shield for 5 seconds when activated. This shield passively absorbs magical damage and completely negates any mental or fear-based effects directed at Ash.

Bonus Effect: When the shield is active, any enemy attempting a mental or spell-casting attack on Ash must first pass a Willpower check against Ash's current stat. Failure results in a 'Backlash' that deals non-mitigable psychic damage.

Cost: depends on user.

2. Slayer's Gambit: When engaging a target who possesses one rank higher than Ash's current level, all of Ash's hits gain a special secondary effect.

Effect: A hit under Slayer's Gambit instantly activates a version of Withering Kiss, applying a stack of 'Rapid Decay' that lowers 5% of stats of enemy over 5 seconds. This effect can stack.

Cost: Activating this talent requires Ash to consciously accept a self-debuff: Ash takes 5% all stat debuff from all sources, no stackable.

3. Mana Conduit: Reduces the MP cost of all skills by a flat 50%.[non-upgradable]

Bonus Effect: Whenever Ash successfully lands a critical hit on an enemy suffering from a poison effect, he restores 10 MP instantly with the help of wuthering kiss.]

The choices were really mind-blowing. He was completely baffled by the choice, every choice was better than other and lesser than other at the same time.

All three Talent's were extremely crucial in their own field of usage.

He was lacking a way to defend against magic spell and here was the choice iron will.

It will help him manifest his will in solid form and defend against the mana spell or any type of magic spells. And he could decide how much of his will to use in exchange, if the attack is more powerful he could put more will power and vice-versa.

'slayers gambit' was a useful talent while fighting stronger enemies. While the cost was steep that made skill render useless if he only Hits the enemy once in five second.

But as the level was increasing, the exchange of blows every second was also increasing. If he hit his enemy 10 times then his stat would be lowered by 50% while his stat would only be down by 5%.

Perfect for a close ranged brute fight. Or his bullet could also help him trigger this talent.

And of-course the last choice was most tempting. His every skill that he had now and those that he will get in future. All of them would cost just half of original.

But the tag beside it [Non-upgradable] was flaring some concerns.
