It was noon, and the scorching sun hung high in the sky.

A striking figure appeared outside the Magic Academy—it was Yaeger.

“Once Richard returns to Jade City, moving around openly will be much harder,” she muttered to herself as she stepped into the Academy.

Classes had just ended, and groups of students were filing out of the Academy.

Their steps slowed as they noticed a masked figure cloaked in black robes.

But their caution faded almost instantly—many high-ranking Academy members dressed similarly.

‘Huh? Why are they bowing and greeting me?’

As she walked, Yaeger grew puzzled by the students’ polite greetings.

But she quickly dismissed the thought, choosing not to dwell on such trivial matters.

As soon as Yaeger reached the upper level of the Sage Tower and stepped off the platform, the lab door opened, and Allie emerged as if she’d been expecting her.

“You knew I’d be here around this time?” Yaeger asked, curious.

“Of course.” Allie held up a clear crystal, about the size of a ping-pong ball, with a proud smile. Through the crystal, she could monitor everything within the Academy without ever leaving her lab.

“Aren’t you a bit too eager?” Yaeger squinted at her with a teasing grin.

Allie froze for a second before catching on, her cheeks flushing. “O-Of course not!”

Two nearby receptionists exchanged glances, a gleam of anticipation in their eyes.

Their beloved Master Allie was about to fall victim to another playful attack from the Black-hearted Princess!

“Let’s head inside. Things aren’t looking good lately,” Yaeger whispered, leaning in.

Allie’s playful expression faded, turning serious as she led Yaeger into the lab.

“What’s going on?” she asked, her tone suddenly anxious.

“Aren’t you the well-informed one?” Yaeger replied with a faint smile.

“Stop joking around. Be serious,” Allie shot back, narrowing her eyes.

“Richard’s returning in two days.”

“Are you sure?” Allie asked, surprised.

“You didn’t hear about this?” Yaeger asked, puzzled.

Allie shook her head. “I don’t have any contacts within the palace.”

“No contact with Lili either?”

“Not lately. I’m worried it might attract attention and cause trouble for Alicia,” Allie replied.

“I see.” Yaeger nodded, then remembered something. “By the way, you can take your time on the trading system. We won’t be using it anytime soon.”

“And why’s that?” Allie asked, blinking in confusion.

“Grand Duke Keene, who’s been eyeing the Imperial Auction House, is planning to lodge a complaint with Richard to shut us down.” Yaeger shrugged, speaking with a hint of helplessness.

No one could say how much profit she’d lose in just a few days.

Regardless of what happened next, she had firmly pinned the blame on Richard.

And someday, she would make him pay back her losses a hundredfold.

“What a mess.” Allie patted Yaeger’s shoulder. “Will you still be in the city two days from now?”

“That depends. If Richard doesn’t go wild, I’ll keep roaming around the city,” Yaeger replied. But she knew it was unlikely—there was little chance the Emperor wouldn’t be furious upon his return.

“It’s a shame I don’t know where Alicia is. Otherwise, I’d suggest you hide out with her for a while,” Allie said, a note of regret in her voice.

“No need to hide. If things go south, I can still make a run for it,” Yaeger said calmly. As long as Richard didn’t come to capture her himself, she was confident she could escape.

“Still, be careful,” Allie cautioned, her tone filled with concern.

“I will. By the way, what was today’s meeting about?” Yaeger asked, curiosity sparking in her eyes.

Normally, Allie wasn’t one to attend meetings just because she was invited. If it wasn’t important, she’d much rather stay in her lab, avoiding interactions with the other higher-ups.

“It’s all because of you.” Allie rolled her eyes, clearly exasperated.

“Me? What did I do?” Yaeger looked genuinely puzzled.

How could she possibly influence Academy matters?

“The old coots think that having the ‘scourge of the Empire’ around is bad for the Academy’s image. So they held a meeting, and almost everyone wanted to ban you from entering. But I vetoed it!” Allie placed her hands on her hips, looking quite proud of herself.

“Excellent, excellent. Just what I’d expect from the Empire’s former scourge.” Yaeger reached out, patting her head with a smile. Allie’s long silver hair felt smooth beneath her fingers.

“I’m not a child!” Allie shook her head, her bright red eyes glaring up at Yaeger.

“Heh, thanks. If I couldn’t enter the Academy freely, it’d really disrupt the treatment process.”

“That’s some half-hearted gratitude,” Allie replied with a look of dissatisfaction.

“Well, how about a big, wet kiss as a thank you?” Yaeger licked her lips suggestively, her pink tongue adding an irresistible charm.

Allie’s heart raced, and her mind went blank. In that instant, Yaeger leaned in, her beautiful face drawing closer, until they were just inches apart.

“Wahhh!” Allie snapped back to reality, instantly retreating with a flustered shriek.

Outside the door, the two receptionists exchanged glances as Allie’s sharp scream echoed through the hall.

“Sounds like they’re having a great time in there…”

“Probably even using… toys.”

“Think it’s a whip, or maybe candles?”

“Probably both.”

“How exciting!”

“Absolutely!”

The two leaned closer to the stone door, eager to eavesdrop. Although the lab had good soundproofing, loud screams like that could still escape. The two receptionists could only guess what was happening inside based on the sounds they overheard.

“Heheh, your reactions are always so entertaining.” Yaeger smiled, calm and amused. She knew Allie’s limits, and it was simply too satisfying to tease her.

“I… I was just caught off guard! Wet kisses are my favorite!” Allie retorted, stubbornly holding her ground.

“Oh, is that so? Then why don’t we keep going?” Yaeger squinted, a mischievous grin spreading across her face.

“N-No… Not now… That’s right! We need to focus on the treatment! Yes, treatment first!” Allie stammered, her eyes unfocused as she tried to regain her composure.

“True, treatment does come first.” Yaeger nodded. “It’s getting late. Let’s begin.”

“Yep!” Allie nodded, letting out a quiet sigh of relief.

‘She’s teased me so many times… Sob, I’ve lost all dignity as her senior!'

Teasing her juniors had once been one of her few joys. But now, she could only hope that this junior would take it easy on her. In a way, it was almost tragic.

“Why aren’t you undressing?” Yaeger asked, breaking the silence.

Allie snapped back to attention, exclaiming, “Again?”

“It’s not ‘again.’ It’s every time—the treatment requires it,” Yaeger replied, her tone serious.

“Can I at least leave my underwear on?” Allie pleaded, clearly struggling.

“If you’re not worried about me making a mistake with the acupuncture and messing up your body, then sure, keep it on,” Yaeger replied with a flat expression.

She wasn’t exaggerating—precision was essential for Allie’s treatment, and any interference could lead to mistakes.

“Fine, fine! I’ll do it!” After a brief hesitation, Allie finally complied, reluctantly undressing.
