Reborn as a Superpower Girl in the 80s

Chapter 7: Chapter 7 Space Carrier

He walked to the desk and saw a letter pressed on the surface with the words "For the destined reader to open personally." Fortunately, Luo Qiao had learned calligraphy in her past life and managed to piece together and understand the content inside.

It said that the previous owner was from the Great Tang and had excitedly shared the secret of this space with her best friend; she hadn't expected that her friend would leak the secret, resulting in a tragic separation from her own flesh and blood.

She advised the destined one to guard the secret well, reminding them of the adage "An innocent man is blameless, but the possession of a treasure brings trouble."

The letter briefly described the features of the space: behind the Bamboo Building there was a well whose water, if consumed regularly, could beautify and nourish the complexion and strengthen the body. Time in the space moved at four times the pace of the outside world, allowing for four harvests in a single year.

The produce grown in the space tasted better than that from the outside, and there was an underground storage in the Bamboo Building that could preserve items forever without spoiling.

Reaching for her neck, she indeed felt the Crescent Jade Amulet she had always worn since childhood, according to the memories of the original owner. This item could never have belonged to the Luo Family.

Unable to figure it out, she stopped thinking about it. From the letter, she learned that the space must have been obtained when the original owner's blood touched the Jade Medallion yesterday, though the medallion itself seemed quite unremarkable.

But thinking about it, it was indeed fortunate that the Jade Medallion was inconspicuous; otherwise, it might have been taken by the Luo Family long ago. Luckily, since her childhood, the original owner had been taken care of by Grandma Luo, and the Luo husband and wife hardly paid any attention to her.

When the original owner was nine years old, Grandma Luo fell severely ill and passed away. Since then, she lived with the two daughters of the Luo Family's Main Wife, so the object had never been discovered by the husband and wife of the Luo house.

Luo Qiao now felt an unreal sensation, almost giddy and at a loss, sitting quietly in the study for a long time before she was able to calm down.

She descended to the first floor and found the entrance to the storeroom. Going downstairs, she saw that the storeroom was quite large, mostly filled with grains, some fruits, and the least amount of vegetables.

Moving further in, she saw rows of shelves stocked with gold, silver, and jade wares, antique paintings, exquisitely crafted bowls and dishes, tea sets, and many fabrics of various types and quantities, as well as many kinds of embroidery threads.

In the very back, there were several drawer-containing cabinets, and upon inspection, Luo Qiao found that each was labeled with categories such as grains, vegetables, flowers, and herb seeds.

After a brief look, she left the Bamboo Building. There was a small door at the back, and beyond it lay a bamboo forest. Along the back wall of the Bamboo Building were neatly arranged piles of dried straw.

Only then did Luo Qiao remember the kitchen had a clay stove; she returned to inspect it thoroughly, finding two stoves and all kinds of kitchen tools, plates, bowls, basins, steamers of different sizes, even a rolling pin, and a rolling board. Most importantly, there was a stone mill in the kitchen, fully equipped indeed.

After inspecting the kitchen, she headed out the back door to search for the well. She hadn't gone far when she found the well said to provide beauty and health benefits.

Curious, Luo Qiao wanted to taste the water. Since she hadn't drawn water from a well in her previous life, and despite having the original body's memories, it took her quite a struggle to fetch half a bucket of water.

She scooped up some water with a gourd ladle placed at the side and drank it. It was indeed refreshingly cool, sweet, and almost silky. She suddenly laughed— it sounded like a slogan for a wine advertisement.

Just ahead was the bamboo forest, not too vast, yet with numerous species of bamboos like the sweet bamboo, Xiangfei bamboo, arrow bamboo, purple bamboo, moso bamboo, and phoenix-tail bamboo, along with several types Luo Qiao didn't recognize.

Luo Qiao didn't venture farther, as she remembered she had left her shoes on the kang bed when she came in, furthermore it was broad daylight, and Lu Yichen might come in at any moment.
