Chapter 38: Dark Elves..?
William couldn't help but think, "If jane is here then the Dark Elves attack will occur shortly!" he turns back to Heimdall who was still dutifully looking into the void, "Be wary Heimdall, Unseen enemies are approaching!" he says before flying off after Thor who had just entered the palace with Jane in a princess carry.
As he flew off Heimdall turned to look at him with a hint of confusion on his face, "Unseen by me? Impossible." He turns back to the void and proceeds to continue his task although with a lingering feeling of unease.
William stopped just outside the palace doors and summoned his new weapon the Thunder Spire which appeared in his hand like a flash of lightning, its surface gleams with a silvery-black sheen, infused with veins of glowing azure energy that pulse like a living heartbeat. The pole is adorned with intricate runes that appear to shift and rearrange themselves as if alive, whispering in a language of power.
Crackling arcs of lightning leap and dance along the pole's length, occasionally forming fleeting patterns or shapes, suggesting an intelligent presence within. The top of the pole tapers to a sharp, spiked point, where the lightning concentrates most intensely, forming a constant, shimmering corona. The base widens into a stable, slightly ornate end, engraved with circular glyphs that anchor its immense power.
When wielded, the pole emits a deep hum, resonating with the wielder's movements, and the surrounding air becomes charged, creating a faint, tangible aura of electricity. Its length can extend seemingly without limit, its reach imbued with a crackling, almost playful sentience, as though it enjoys the thrill of combat or the purpose it was forged to serve.
the appearance of the weapon momentarily startled the guards but after seeing William was just standing there looking toward the Bifrost they relaxed and returned their eyes to their task.
William cued Phage to form the suit, and the Asgardian guards were shocked to see Williams formerly Asgardian attire turn into a skintight suit of armor that glowed an eerie green that reminded them of the fires of Helheim, the symbiote had been absorbing his energy for many days and was itching for a fight as if it was taking on Saiyan personality traits.
It was then he felt it, the sudden appearance of energy signatures all aiming to cause harm.
"ASGARDIANS!" William roared with a ki empowered shout causing the guards behind him to become momentarily disoriented from the blast of sound, "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK! TO ARMS! DEFEND YOUR HOME! DEFEND YOUR HONOR!" with the last word leaving his lips a green flash of lightning struck the Thunder Spire in his hands and formed a pillar of lightning in the sky that got the attention of everyone in Asgard including Heimdall who's eyes were wide as he suddenly felt a disturbance in the air around him, "By Odin's beard!" he roared as he swung his mighty greatsword over his shoulder and charged at seemingly empty air but as the tip of the sword finishes its descent it seems to hit a solid object. "BOOOM!" a formerly invisible ship began to flicker into sight as it began to crash land into Asgard.
The ship opened up and a small army of dark elves begin attacking nearby Asgardians who had more time to mobilize than the main timeline counterparts.
The skies above Asgard roiled with thunderclouds as the Dark Elves' ominous black ships breached the golden city's defenses. Their dark energy cannons blasted through the majestic towers, sending shards of shining gold and stone cascading to the ground. The once-unyielding gates of the palace trembled as explosions echoed across the city.
Standing before the gates, William Parker tightened his grip on his Uru-infused power pole. The weapon thrummed with latent energy, lightning crackling along its length as if responding to the storm raging above. His symbiote suit, sleek and black with streaks of glowing green, shifted over his body like liquid, forming sharp, menacing edges in anticipation of battle. His Saiyan tail swayed behind him, a sign of his readiness.
The air was thick with tension. The golden-armored Einherjar braced themselves, weapons raised, but it was William who stood at the forefront, a lone figure of resolve. "You wanted a fight?" he muttered under his breath, his voice laced with both determination and a hint of exhilaration. "Then come get one."
The gates burst open as a phalanx of Dark Elves charged, their sleek, black armor glinting ominously. Leading them was Kurse, towering over his kin, his enchanted armor radiating a dull, crimson glow. His heavy footsteps echoed like thunder, and his glowing red eyes locked onto William.
"Stand aside, mortal," Kurse rumbled, his voice deep and guttural. "You cannot stop what is to come."
William smirked, spinning the power pole in one hand. "Mortal? Nah, I'm a Saiyan. And stopping people like you? It's kind of my thing."
Kurse roared and charged, his immense bulk tearing through the ground as he closed the distance. William met him head-on, the power pole extending with a snap and slamming into Kurse's chest. Lightning exploded from the impact, briefly halting the dark elf's momentum, but Kurse shrugged it off with a growl, swinging his massive fist.
William ducked, the symbiote flowing to reinforce his movements. He countered with a swift strike to Kurse's side, the pole crackling with energy. Kurse staggered but retaliated with a powerful backhand. The blow sent William skidding across the golden courtyard, his boots digging into the ground to steady himself.
"Okay," William muttered, wiping a trickle of blood from his lip, "this guy's no joke."
Kurse wasted no time, leaping into the air and bringing his fists down in an earth-shattering smash. William dodged at the last second, the impact creating a crater where he had stood. Using the pole to vault into the air, he launched a barrage of ki blasts. The glowing orbs of energy struck Kurse's armor, creating small explosions, but the hulking elf barely flinched.
As Kurse swung again, William's symbiote extended into tendrils, latching onto the nearby palace wall and pulling him out of harm's way. Landing atop a crumbled statue, he took a moment to reassess.
"You're tougher than you look," William said, narrowing his eyes. He slammed the power pole into the ground, the runes along its length glowing brighter as lightning began to coalesce around him. "But I'm just getting started."
William Focused on the Thunder Spire in his hand and with a roar he lifts the crackling staff into the air which caused the storm above to begin forming arcs of lightning that after reaching a second struck the chest of the dark elf Kurse sending him flying back down into the stairs while turning the dark elf soldiers behind him into dust
"ROOOOOOAAARRR!!" his guttural roars echoing as he rose to his feet. His reddened aura flared violently, signaling his fury as he charged back into the fray.
William barely had time to react as Kurse's massive fist swung toward him. He blocked with his pole, the impact reverberating through his arms as he slid back. Kurse pressed forward, his attacks faster and more ferocious. William's symbiote flared to protect him, forming shields and spikes that barely kept Kurse's blows at bay.
Kurse roared, grabbing William's pole mid-swing and wrenching it aside. Before William could react, a massive punch slammed into his chest, sending him crashing through a golden pillar. He gasped, coughing up blood as he staggered to his feet. His symbiote shivered, patching the cracks in its armor-like surface.
"You're strong," William admitted, his voice strained but defiant. "But I've fought stronger."
He thrust his hand forward, unleashing a focused ki blast that struck Kurse's chest, momentarily halting the Dark Elf's advance. Seizing the opening, William surged forward, his pole snapping back to him as he delivered a flurry of strikes. Each blow crackled with lightning, illuminating the battlefield in blinding flashes.
Kurse countered with a powerful kick, catching William mid-strike and sending him airborne. William twisted in the air, using his symbiote's tendrils to anchor himself to a nearby wall. He pulled himself up and hurled his pole like a spear, the weapon glowing with energy as it streaked toward Kurse. It struck the Dark Elf's shoulder, piercing his armor and eliciting a roar of pain.
William landed, breathing heavily, as Kurse yanked the pole free and tossed it aside. His reddened aura flared brighter, and he charged again. William raised his hands, summoning a barrier of ki that absorbed the brunt of Kurse's assault but left him drained.
"You're like a tank," William muttered, wiping blood from his mouth. "But even tanks have limits."
He called his pole back to his hand and planted it in the ground. Lightning arced from the skies, striking the pole and coursing through William's body. His aura blazed brighter as he channeled the energy into a single, devastating attack.
"This ends now!" he roared, leaping into the air. With a mighty swing, he brought the pole down on Kurse, the impact creating a shockwave that shattered the surrounding structures. Kurse was sent sprawling, his armor cracked and smoking.
Panting, William staggered but remained upright. His symbiote receded slightly, exposing the bruises and cuts beneath. Kurse struggled to rise, his movements sluggish but his fury undiminished. William tightened his grip on the pole, his aura flaring as an idea sparked in his mind. The runes on the power pole glowed with an intense light, and he channeled both his ki and the storm's energy into his fists.
"Let's see if you can handle this," he growled, stepping forward with determination.
The pole began to crackle with a surge of power as William spun it around, creating a vortex of lightning. He slammed it into the ground one last time, drawing down a massive bolt of energy that enveloped him completely.
William's aura blazed with golden and green streaks, his hair standing on end as he clenched his fist, now surrounded by a dragon-shaped aura of crackling lightning.
"Thunder Dragon Strike!" he roared, launching himself forward at blinding speed. Kurse barely had time to react before William's glowing fist collided with his chest.
The impact was cataclysmic. The dragon-shaped lightning surged into Kurse's body, crackling and roaring as it tore through his enchanted armor, leaving a trail of scorched metal and seared flesh in its wake. For a split second, the battlefield was illuminated with a blinding green and gold light. The force sent shockwaves rippling across Asgard, shattering the ground beneath them and sending Kurse hurtling backward.
The Dark Elf crashed into the remains of a stone pillar, a jagged hole seared into his chest. Smoke and electricity danced across his broken form as he slumped, his crimson aura flickering weakly. William stood tall, his breathing ragged and his body battered, but his fist still crackled with residual energy.
"That's for Frigga" William muttered, planting his pole into the ground and steadying himself. Kurse's body stirred faintly, his defiance evident even in his weakened state, but the devastating attack had taken its toll.
William wiped the sweat and blood from his face, his symbiote retracting slightly as he prepared for whatever might come next. The battle wasn't over yet, but he had delivered a powerful message, one Kurse wouldn't forget.
Inside the palace Malekith and Frigga were having a fierce duel with both swords and magic, although for the most part focused on the fight Malekith couldn't help but have a concerned look in his dark eyes for a moment as he heard the booming roar in the distance but shook it off as he had a fight to focus on as Frigga was on a downswing Malekith swiveled to the left narrowly dodging the lethal blade before blasting her with a bolt of shadow magic sending her sprawling to the floor and rushed to take jane and began to run toward the open veranda
The crackling of Thunder roared as a Hammer that was roaring with the anger of a thousand storms came surging past the face of Malekith singing his face with lightning as it passed but the dark elf still managed to land on a hidden ship below and head within with jane and the Aether in tow as they began to fly away
"JAANNNNNEEEE!" Thor roared as Malekith's ship became invisible again in the distance, Frigga who was finally getting up from the blast of shadow magic was walking up to Thor and pressed his hands into hers as she says, "Don't worry son, I managed to place a tracking spell on her when she got here!" she had just finished talking when Odin walked in with his gleaming golden spear dripping with the blood of Dark elves, He seemed pleasantly cheerful as no one close to him died like he felt was coming.
"BOOOM!" an explosion of red energy emanated from the palace gates as Kurse sent William flying with a desperate kick that sent him flying into the a nearby pillar, the gaping wound on the dark elf's chest seemingly coagulated shut by some kind of amorphous energy.
The massive Dark elf was swinging wildly at the nearby Asgardians who were doing their best to struggle but were overpowered shortly and after stomping the skull of the last one still living with a sickening crunch, he turned back to William who was just now getting up with glowing red eyes.
Kurse pointed at William as he got to his feet with blood dripping from his lips, "KILL... KILL YOU... KILL YOU ALLLL!" in elvish that William couldn't understand as he swung his massive hands down like hammers.
"BOOOOOM!" A rippling mix of red and green energy formed as the two struggled to overpower the other causing the very grounds of Asgard to shake and the floor to begin forming cracks around their feet.
William kneed Kurse in his closed chest wound causing the giant to fall back and clutch his chest, and when he looked up to see his opponent William was forming a mass of green energy that was crackling with a dangerous amount of energy in his hand that caused kurse to pause as he felt a sudden pressure from the sheer concentration of power.
The vibrant ball of energy continued to shrink until it could fit on the tip of Williams finger, he pointed said finger directly toward the head of Kurse who had begun taking small steps backward when suddenly his vision went dark, a smoking hole the size of a nickel suddenly appeared on Kurse's head, "BOOOOOOOOOM!" a nearby planetoid in the void outside Asgard was struck with the remnants of the concentrated attack as a cloud of lightning and dust was all that was left of it after the fact.
All the nearby Asgardians who saw either the attack itself or the explosion had their jaws hit the floor as the results were something akin to opening the Bifrost at full power.
William opened his mouth to let out a wisp of ki infused breath that he was holding in for the moment and said, "Thunderstrike Cannon" as he collected the corpse of Kurse and entered the palace dragging the corpse by one of its horns as black blood started trailing behind him.
Lady Sif and the warriors three had finally arrived at the scene covered nearly head to toe in the black blood of the elves and they were astonished by the level of destruction it looked like Thor himself was having a brawl if they didn't know better from the color of the lightning.
As William walked the hall of Asgard he entered a room and tossed the corpse of the now dead dark elf lieutenant in front of the furious Thor and the content Odin who each eyed the corpse with disgust seeing this disgusting forced mutation the dark elves used to employ being used once more
Odin glanced at the weapon in William's hand and nodded as he approached the Saiyan, "You fought well in the front gates and because of you the strongest soldier of the dark elves has been defeated, after this fight is truly over, I shall see to it you are rewarded for your valor properly!"
Thor and Frigga both nodded simultaneously as they felt the nearby battle from here not to mention the sounds.
It wasn't long though before the current affairs took over and they began to go over the potential plan of Malekith, Odin remembering what his father told him of the war with the dark elves began to tap his staff the ground causing a screen to appear where a picture of Earth took center stage with 8 other planets each taking a spot on the side, "If it's what I'm thinking he should be heading to Midgard, as it is the center point in the nine realms and would make accessing the Convergence a simpler as it only requires half the time to complete!"
He turns to Thor.
"Thor take William the warriors three and Lady Sif to earth along with whatever Asgardians are ready and able to fight we will do our duty to the realms as William will do his duty for his planet!"
he taps the staff once again as he relays his orders throughout Asgard and activates the Bifrost!
Thor and William began flying to the Bifrost in hast to find a small army of Asgardians led by Lady Sif and the warriors three who as if in taciturn agreement all marched into the Bifrost as the two warriors arrived.
Thor held out Mjolnir and flew into the rainbow bridge as William looked back at Asgard with a noticeably ticked off look on his face, "Ugh earth food!" he says before flying through the Bifrost.
On Earth Thor and Malekith were going head-to-head with Malekith blasting Thor with shadow bolts and Thor with bolts of lightning before the shadows penetrate Thors defenses sending him tumbling into a nearby portal as he passed into another realm, Malekith having temporarily rid himself of his opponent began to extract the Aether from Jane Foster, the swirling mass of blood red energy pouring from her mouth, eyes and nose as it coalesced into a mass of ruby liquid that floated above Malekith's hand and the young woman fell lifelessly to the ground with features contorted in clear pain!
"Such pathetic mortals shouldn't attempt to touch the divine!" Malekith hissed as he began to attempt to complete the convergence before a hammer came flying from a nearby portal and striking the back of Malekith who went flying along with the Aether and Thor exited the portal with his hand extended calling back his mighty hammer but when he saw jane all the lightning all the thunder around him seemingly vanished to be replaced by complete horror as he is witnessing the desiccated corpse of the woman he loves and the hammer fell to the ground helplessly as did Thor.
"J...Jane?" thick streams of tears fell from Thor's eyes but as he had forgotten where he was, he didn't notice Malekith behind him forming a massive ball of shadow magic empowered by the Aether as a red energy pulsed within the shadows before he struck down with the magic.
"BOOOM!" Thor who is still holding the corpse of Jane Foster went flying as the chaotic shadow magic began eating away at Janes corpse as she began to disintegrate her body being turned into ashes that flew through the wind, Thor collided with a nearby building momentarily knocked unconscious by the infinity stone empowered shadow magic and Malekith seeing his chance began to complete his plan to cover the universe in darkness!
"AT LAST, THE UNIVERSE WILL RETURN TO DARKNESS" Malekith decreed with reverence as he began to activate the Aether to complete his will.
