Cheng Xie's eyes glowed brightly as the flames reached him, only to quickly disappear one after another. His eyes manipulated the heat around him, allowing him to see through the smoke. He pierced the clouds of ash and reached his foe, who was barely standing.

"WHEN WILL YOU DIE?!"

The monstrous Nightmare Curse roared angrily, unable to believe that this young man was putting up such an unbelievable fight. The ground shook as more lava emerged, clashing against the young man, but he held his ground and moved forward. His pole rapidly intercepted all attacks while he used his own tail as a spring, leaping toward his foe and kicking him again.

"{Heaven And Earth Arts}: {World-Shattering Monkey Kick}!"

BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM! BAAM!

It wasn't one kick, but several, and as he stated, each kick shattered the world. Giant cracks appeared across the island, extending beneath it and into the sea beyond.

"GRUUUAAAAGGGH! IMPOSSIBLE…! THIS IS…! YOU'RE…! YOU'RE RIDICULOUS!"

In a last-ditch effort to survive, the Original Nightmare Curse screamed. Heavenly Void Spheres appeared around him as he sent them toward the young man, aiming to erase him.

"BEGONE FROM EXISTENCE!!!"

He wasn't even aiming to eat him anymore. He was going straight for the kill because he knew how immensely powerful the young man was and could become.

For the first time, aside from Maria, the Original Nightmare Curse began to fear this individual.

Never would he have thought that in the very world where he was born, there would be someone capable of fighting him head-on to this degree.

"Never underestimate the power of Human Dreams again!"

Cheng Xie roared as he faced the Heavenly Void Spheres. Nyoibo glowed brightly, and then it divided.

"{Heaven And Earth Arts}: {Myriad Nyoibo}!"

Dream Essence flowed through him as the giant power pole divided and turned into a thousand copies, clashing against all the Heavenly Void Spheres and extending inside them until they exploded like bubbles.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

"G U U A A A A H H H H ?!"

The Nightmare Curse screamed in horror as he saw Cheng Xie emerge through the dimensional explosions, leaving the empty air shattered and falling into glass-like pieces.

"IT'S OVER!"

His trusty Nyoibo pierced through the monster's soul, shattering it into pieces that fell one by one to the ground, leaving the giant monster speechless…

"IMPO… SSIBLE…!"

Just as quickly as he had manifested his Soul Fragments inside the barrier, one of them was caught and shattered into pieces, destroyed.

"U U U U G G H H ?!"

His true body recoiled in pain and agony. The monstrous "god" and his plans were failing, one by one.

Cheng Xie glanced at the scene and the mess he had created, quickly waving his hand as he unleashed the power of Heaven and Earth.

"Good thing grandpa taught me this ability…"

His eyes glowed brightly as Divine Power permeated the surroundings, reaching deep underground.

"{Heaven And Earth Arts}: {Earth Rejuvenation}!"

Healing power quickly restored the earth itself. The cracks were patched up, the seas calmed, and the hole leading to an underground volcano was instantly filled. Everything rapidly returned to how it was before, although the ruined city remained unchanged, as it wasn't part of "nature," which was the only thing he could heal.

This was an ability he had to learn due to his destructive nature, employing his unique powers to heal the land rather than destroy it. This is how he repaired the mountains his attacks occasionally flattened across China during his training.

In fact, it was among the first things he was taught: to always take responsibility for his own mistakes and to learn an ability to help him attempt at the very least to fix them if possible.

"It's done… but the battle is not over yet… I can see them! Three more of these bastards! The other students are also rushing to battle. He rushed forward, calling forth a flying cloud and using it to race through the skies at lightning speed, spotting another of the Nightmare Curse Avatars charging ahead.

He noticed all three were moving toward some kind of plaza, aiming to merge there into one monstrous being and then attempt to devour everyone.

If the one he fought was already so strong, Cheng Xie didn't want to risk letting three of them combine into one. It would simply bring catastrophic results.

But he also detected another group: a bubble descending from the skies and reaching the city. It seemed that Maria had sent some friends.

"Alright, I hope they can take care of the other two. I'll go after this one!"

He rushed down, attacking the Avatar in front of him and smashing it into the ground with his extendable Nyoibo, clashing against the Avatar of the Nightmare Curse and driving it into the floor.

B O O O M !

An explosion of heavenly energies erupted as the nearby building collapsed instantly. The Avatar glared back at Cheng Xie with resentment. It knew exactly who he was and was trying its best to escape him.

The Avatar rapidly assumed the form of a black monkey made of abyssal shadows, holding a staff of its own and possessing glowing, spectral red eyes.

"IT WON'T BE THE SAME AS BEFORE! YOUR ABILITIES, I'VE LEARNED THEM AND MADE THEM MINE! I WON'T LET YOU INTERFERE ANYMORE!"

"Oh, really? Well then, that's interesting!"

Cheng Xie cracked his knuckles as he rushed forward, clashing against the dark clone made of people's despair and nightmares, embodying a fleeting tale that never truly changed people's hearts or future, while the young man embodied the hopes and dreams of freedom it conveyed.
