"Alma's pretty strong, right?" I looked at Magnus.

"She… She is… I never imagined… that a human with such a power could be born, we are… completely at her mercy! Water… our worst enemy!"

I almost felt bad for the big guy.

"Yeah, yeah, the swamp is over there, right? I knew it, your fortress is right in front of the walls that lead to it!" I said.

"N-No…! Wait!"

He gasped, realizing we were finally here, the "walls" I was talking about were giant natural walls made of black stone and red crystals, a long mountain range surrounding the next "layer" and the last.

"Alright everyone, we're flying!" I said. "Let's go past that mountain, that's where our next destination is!"

As I said that, I saw the new Nightmare Demons be informed by the previous ones I contracted about what happened, and now that they had a new master, they simply followed us.

I looked at the fortress, thinking about bringing it along… But nah, let's leave it there for now.

"Let's go!"

I quickly spread my shadows everywhere, over hundreds of meters, transforming the shadows into a gigantic hand.

I combined the Shadow Realm Aura with my Selene's Palm Skill, creating a giant Palm made of stars and the shadow of the night, and moonlight.

RUMBLE!

The entire army was lifted, floating above the skies, as we reached far, far above, finally arriving over the mountain.

"Woooow! We're going higher and higher!" Celes said. "Alma was awesome back there; mom do you think I could do what she did?"

"I believe so, dear," Nia smiled, caressing her son's head. "But better stay sharp and prepare, okay? Whatever is coming next will be big."

"Okay!" Celes nodded, furrowing his cute eyebrows.

"Don't worry Celes, I'll protect you," Nyx smiled with a cute smile.

"Thanks Nyx… But I also want to protect you back!" Celes said. "Let's watch each other's backs."

"Sure!" Nyx nodded. "Heheh, you've surely grown up!"

"Y-You think so?" Celes blushed.

He had indeed grown up a lot, he was also older obviously, it has been quite some time since our first encounter with him and his mom.

"And here we are…"

We reached the peak of the mountains, floating above the sky itself, and looking at what was in front of us… A desolate, black landscape made of mostly black stone, with purple and black crystals, and giant lakes and rivers of black nightmare flowing miasma everywhere.

"This must be the Abyssal Void Swamp," I said with a smile. "Magnus, you said nobody was waiting for us here? Why?"

"I am not lying! They never imagined you could get past us and then the mountain… Since the beginning that the Demon King has never seen any of you as a genuine threat…"

"I see! Well, that's amazing, it means we got a great advantage in terms of the element of surprise," I nodded, glancing farther into the distance.

Yep, it was right there.

In the middle of the swamps, there was something that was the origin of this miasma to begin with.

A giant, enormous sphere of black light, glowing brightly, resembling a dark sun itself.

It seemed strange, floating in the middle of this strange place, twisting space, time, and reality.

Inside, an endlessly glowing ocean of void…

And at the center of this star of darkness, I could see it, a gigantic megastructure, the Demon King's castle, made of hundreds of other buildings unified together.

It has been roughly six hours since I started evolving… I don't know what's exactly going on the other side, but the evolution has accelerated.

I think that there's something my other self is doing, some sort of special trial, the faster it is completed, the faster I am evolving.

And I can feel it, my evolution might be soon over… I cannot sit down and wait though; these are precious hours.

If the last day is where everything ends, I have to naturally confront them earlier, a day earlier at least, to completely stop and ruin their plans.

From what I've learned, the wife of the Demon King is creating millions of Nightmare Demon Eggs, and then she will send all these Nightmare Demons to conquer the world through the Nightmare Demon Doors that the Castle can create, or well, the Demon King can do, I think.

So we're stopping that from ever beginning, we're destroying that bitch, crush all her eggs, and make sure that these bastards don't even take a step into Earth.

And how are we doing this when they got incredible tools to travel to Earth as they please? Easy, I've already solved that problem days ago.

Inside of my Shadow Realm, the Undead and the Cultivators were working hard, with Myconidas by their side, constantly transforming hundreds of thousands of Nightmare Cores into more and more fuel.

For a massive Internal Formation I had already prepared in advance inside my Shadow Realm, the same Barrier Formation I used to protect Academy City from the doors, stopping them from appearing ever again.

A Void and Space Formation that distorts space and leaves it "glitched" making it impossible to use teleportation devices like those doors within the interior of the barrier.

Yes, this very same barrier will be used to stop them, and they will be completely and utterly humiliated in this way.

But I need to play my cards carefully, a misstep could mean a complete failure. That they underestimate us is a great advantage, the element of surprise can be abused.

"For now, we'll have an hour to rest, plan, and eat, let's quickly get things done."

I quickly called my family and friends inside the giant Bone Terrace, which I had already modeled into some sort of Palace, in here, I had already placed a great feast I prepared in advance.

"Let's eat first, then those that need to go to the bathroom, go to the bathroom." I said. "I want you all prepared at 100% for what's coming, understood?"

Although my family was always ready, this speech was mostly for my new friends, Alma, Emily, Sofia, and Martina, who nodded confidently, beginning to dig in.
