Reborn as a Chaos God of Carnage

Chapter 373: Decay Through the Snow Part 2: Arrival of the Dark Legion

(General POV)

Location the Warhammer Old World-Kislev, the Land of Oakstuun, Outside of the Festering Dark Woods-Battlefield: Kislve vs Maggotkin

The war between the Kislevite Prince, and the Maggotkin was still fiercely ongoing.

With the beasts of the Shadow Lore Hag, fighting against the nurglings and putrid blightkings of the Priestess.

A snow leopard leap at a poor nurgling and started to maul and rip apart the infected flesh, rotting innards and guts, as blackish green colored, diseased blood gushed and stained everything...and unfortunately this meant the poor predator cat was now infected with countless daemonic diseases, and was ritting in agony at the moment.

Hacking and vomiting everything in it stomach, including stomach vile, and massive amounts of it's own blood and gore.

Before anyone could deal a fatal merciful blow to the beast, the snow leopard fell dead onto it side, with vile and blood still oozing out it's mouth, this alarmed the other beasts with exception of the Things in the Woods, to fight without consuming pieces of this prey their fighting.

The beasts with least issues were the giant spiders using deadly poison and webs, while the bone-headed hounds (Things in the Woods) immune for some reason to the diseases and plagues inside the plague daemons and warriors of the Maggotkin.

All akshina were fighting viciously against the forces of the Priestess of Putrefaction, almost they were feral beasts themselve, axes, claws, blades, and arrow-bolts were thrown against the Maggotkin but their supernatural endurance, and their numbness to pain, making them a difficult enemy to kill unless a critical fatal wound is dealt against them.

A wild tzar guard stabbed his blades into one of the bloated, maggot infested lords of blights, causing only meager amounts of actual damage against the nurglish warrior.

In response the poor kislevite man, face a gruesome but swift death by a massive rusted and crude hammer, with the symbol of the fly, encrusted to the side of it, said hammer was rised high and a swift, and powerful blow crushed majority of the face and skull of the tzar.

Gore, blood, brain marrow, and bone shards along with broken teeth flew allover from the hammerstrike, caving the head of the kislevite.

The Wild Tzar Guard, fell completely limp and dead, as the Lord of Blights kick the faceless body away, without uttering a signal grunt pulled out the blades in his bloated sore and maggot ridden belly.

Immediately after removing those swords from his body, the wounds started to fester on a impossible rate, with maggots already crawling from the entrance and exit wounds.

Looking down his latest kill, he smiled showing rotted, dirty teeth...a smile filled with pride as he lifted his hammer up high again, and let out a battle cry that inspired the other Maggotkin around him, as he stomped his way back into the fold.

As a group of Putrid Blightkings, were clashing their plague weapons mainly axes against the beasts and the akshina.

Broken, disease ridden blades strike at shells of the spiders, breaking and chopping into the green blood of spiders was staining their axes and blades, while akshina manage to kill a couple of them by aiming at critical parts of the blightkings bodies, their stench and rancid appearance made it difficult to face. (Making this a bit lore accurate, since fighting against Nurgle forces should be next to impossible up close, n beasts shouldn't be able to survive bitting onto anything Nurgle related.)

But as the Putrid Blightkings were starting to turn the tide to their favor, the Hag Witch of the Shadow Lore, started to manipulate the magical lore of shadow, to cast a couple of spells against the vile followers of the Plague God, starting with [Withering] the Hag Witch cast this shadow-spell, meant to destroy the enemies from within, corroding foes' minds with doubt and crisis, weaking their overall resolve and thus making them easier to take down by her followers, as grayish mist flowed throughout the enemy-line and the weaker will subcome to the influence of the spell.

This allowed the akshina a easier time to cut down with curved blade, and kislevite axe.

Then she follow-up her magical assault, by casting the deadly [Penumbral Pendulum] spell, a spectral pendulum is summoned by the Hag, as she'd commanded, it to swing above the Maggotkin, a spectral gray razor-sharp pendulum with lethal speed, slice through several of the Maggotkin.

Much black or puss mixed blood stained the snow, as the pendulum swung and killed the nurglish daemons and warriors.

This made the Hag, smile as these accursed followers of the "Defiler of Nature", but this was seen by the Priestess.

Yuma saw her followers and family being cut down, by the damn hag's sorcery, so she angrily countered with her own sorcery, getting a bit closer to the main battle, as she heard one of the tzar guards rush toward her, Gul'galg wrapped his vile tentacles over him, and with her outstretched left hand holding her "knife" which ended with the man, stabbed right in the heart.

Gul'galg pulled back the corpse from Yuma's Troll Knife, and tossed it away as Yuma began her magical onslaught on the enemy.

Starting by casting the [Miasma of Pestilence] as Gul'galg followed her mental comands to rise and swing around her staff to unleash the most putrescent vapor into the air.

As a sickly green mist mix with the grayish shadow magic, sensing the danger coming the Hag Witch, she ordered her troops to pull back but many have already breathed in the miasma, as thus loosening stomachs and bowels, and causing violent, crippling vomiting seizures to those that were unfortunate to be caught in the miasma.

Since this made the Hag, stop channeling power to her spells, they both faded away and the Putrid Blightkings quickly recovered.

They charged straight back into a brutal attack,

Rancid Visitations as she gifted her enemies with the Plague Lord's nightmarish necrosis, manifesting in a huge ball of thick, oozing, dark sickly green slime, floating over the targetted akshina.

The slime ball burst splashing all except the one furthest from the casting area, which was causing their skin to blacken and their internal organs to mulch, as they rapidly rot on the effects of the dark spell.

Yuma smiled and then quickly giggled as the so called reinforces were literally withering from the power of OW-Nurgle, she petted the sleeves of Gul'galg as a show of grateful affection, as she went straight into the killing field.

Seeing her forces were crumbling away against the power of the Priestess, the Hag reached into her maroon colored robes and pulled out a special charm, that Mother Ostankya bestowed to all her cherished hag witches, to call for aid should they need to...like right now.

This charm was made from sticks, vines, runic stones, and bones, (think a witch totem or charm from any setting in the shape of a Old World symbol) she brought to her lips and spoke a ancient language of the hags, calling for reinforcements, for she was in a difficult battle against OW-Nurgle worshippers.

After a few moments the charm activated emanating some magical power, and glowing with runes of the hags, sending a reply of confirmation to her, and also saying that aid was close...and try to remain alive.

That's when she heard a excited, feminine laughter close to her, turning she saw the vile Priestess of Putrefaction, Yuma Trollvile.

As she chopped onto the shoulder-blade, holding down the quickly spoiling akshina, then she'd stabbed the growing sickly man, over and over until he was badly spoiled and dead, Gul'galg being a dear wrapped his tentacles on the corpse and tossed away from them.

Leaving her a straight shot to Hag Witch, again laughing happily laughing, as she playfully asked the Hag Witch, "Where's your dear Mother of the Forest, Hag? I'd thought she send me something of a challenge, with what I've done to her precious forests." this made the Hag Witch, grumble and pointed her scepter at Yuma, with her bears roaring at the Priestess making her more excited and thinking, "I'd hadn't cooked bear meat, in a long while. This while be soo much fun!!" spreading her arms wide presenting her blades, and Gul'galg smashing the bud of her Morana Scepter, onto the snowy ground, as their duel was about to begin.

Location Within Enzium-The Top Tower, the Throne Chamber, the Outside of the Borders of Land of Oakstuun

As Enzium rushed through the Motherland, heading to the west following a couple of hundred miles away from the frigid coastline.

All to reach Oakstuun, quicker and save Nurgle's precious servents, especially since the Chaos God of Love & Lust, sensed some attraction and desire rising from his younger brother, black-stained rotted heart.

Once again it will be Tzeentch who will operate Ixion and lead their forces to battle, and from the Warp Gods were sensing it seems that this so called Priestess of Putrefaction, was quite a leader and spiritual guide to these decaying warriors.

Taking advantage of the time that they have now, Tzeentch asked his eldest brother, "What is my animalistic dominion brother?" Laharl sighed, knowing that Tzeentch would eventually ask this of him, he was only surprised he waited this long knowing how nosy and intrusive the Lord of All Change is.

He answered to the Changer, that the chaotic tribesmen call him the "Eagle God of Wisdom" hence with this combined belief, and worship he and the other were receiving, all of them should have divine dominion over the beasts that represents them, like he does now with "bats".

Enzium roared as he tire right through a forest to cut a direct path to Oakstuun, the destruction and the beasts cowarding away from the Living Daemon Fortress, was quite amusing to the Warp God.

It sure made Tzeentch laugh, with exception of the Bats, just as the Dark One mention they didn't flee instead they flocked toward Enzium, and made his Castle Fortress their new home, seems that it true that for now on, everywhere that Laharl treads they'll be bats to guide and warn his coming/manifestion.

Nurgle imagined all the carrion birds and crows flying and flourished in his Garden, then he picture his beloved wife, Aiikila, and his darling girls playing and feeding those crows, this only made him eager to try gaining dominion over the crows of the worlds.

Laharl could feel the intense and pure love emanating from Nurgle, like a bright beacon, making the Dark One smile.

Soon the battle of Oakstuun shall become worse with they joining it, as Khorne asked Laharl, "Brother where is this soo called Bear God of Kislev? With our arrival and first desolation on this land, this soo called "Bear God of Might, Endurance, Courage, and Determination". I've yet to see, hear or sensed this "noble divine beast"." Laharl answered honestly that he did not know.

Went further saying, that Ursun must still be badly wounded and weak if he is not appearing at "Kislev's Darkest Hour"...

In truth the Dark One was exactly right, deep in the snow covered landscape that makes up Kislev, the Bear God was steering and suffering...

(Ursun/Bear God POV)

Location Seclude Mountain in Kislev, Within the Bear God's Den

It still hurts, the wound giving to me by the accursed traitor, and infamous Godslayer...but that pain still couldn't compare on this feeling as sensed Kislve's people woes with many, many already dead by the hands of Chaos.

I felt all those souls being cut down, and taken away into the grasp of evil, Erengrad was the first to fall...as their screams and plead for my aid were almost unbearable to hear, to feel, then suddenly it was quiet...

I've tried to contacted my fellow Gods of Kislve but they are quiet, Dazh, God of fire and the Sun was no where to be seen and the Sun was deeming and not warming our lands.

And Tor the God of thunder & lightning, a mighty warrior and defender has also banished...why would they leave Kislev to such a fate?

I do not know, grunting as the wound still stings and cause discomfort to me.

Seems my plans of creating a blizzard bishwak between the Motherland and Norsca has failed, the dread Chosen of the Gods, Ixion Daemonhart was already in Kislve, which meant that new God, the Bat of Norsca was starting to stake claim onto this land.

Not only that, but other evils that have been cloaked by the Chaos Gods, were starting to emerge and strike allover Kislev, from the coast came Ixion Daemonhart, from the western desolate and infected forest Yuma Trollvile, and also from the northeast a warband of Khorne was starting to attack and pillage the region.

Lastly from the Empirial lands Archeon's herald Vardek Crom the Conqueror was sent by the Everchosen to impede Ixion's advance, typically Chaos quabels but this encounter will harm Kislev regardless, I fear that even with me summoning brave heroes of Kislev to aid Tzarina and also awakening my champion Boris Ursus will not be enough.

How I wish I could do more...no I have to do more!!

I sensed that another hero of Kislev was mortal peril, struggling against the forces of the Plague God, will aid was coming it will not arrive in time to save him and those brave souls under him.

I must save him, for the good of Kislve and the world, these corrupted followers of Chaos must be stopped and purge off the Motherland!!!

Channeling the Winds of Magic, through my divine body and focused it to unleash a great roar, imbued with massive amounts of magic and not only will this stop the blizzards again, but also aid Prince Ivan in battle...feeling weak and drain my legs gave out, and I fell onto my secluded cave...please Ivan, Tzarina, Konstantin, Boris...save Kislev...

(General POV)

Location Kislev, the Land of Oakstuun, Outside of the Festering Dark Woods-Battlefield: Kislve vs Maggotkin

Returning to the main battlefield between the forces of Kislev and the Maggotkin was still ongoing while the Hag Witch fought against the Priestess, Ivan was still preoccupied with the plague marauders, knights, and Daemons relentlessly attacking at them.

All was looking grim when, a roar was heard...it was the roar of Ursun!!

At that moment as the roar echoed and expanded through the Motherland, Ivan, he felt new strength flow through his veins, it was the power of Ursun, now flowing through him, causing him and his magic sword to burst in bright magical light, pushing back the Great Unclean One, as it blocked his eyes from the divine light!!

Empowered by Ursun's blessing, Ivan felt reinvigorated, and attacked while the Greater Daemon was still stun by the divine light.

Pulling on Silverhoof's reigns and riding to the side of the Great Unclean One, the kislevite prince swung his blade, the "Sword of Heroes" now glowing white and blue at the side of the Greater Daemon.

Cutting into bloated, rotted, green daemon flesh, causing the Great Unclean One to screamed in pain as black blood and some vowels came out from the opened wound, backing away allowing the plague marauders and knights to face the prince, while the Greater Daemon recuperate for a bit.

Ivan rode straight at the enemy cleaving through rotted flesh, and withered heavy-armor with ease, dozen of Maggotkin were dying to the Prince's blade.

This drew the Harbingers to attack him, three plagued horsemen rode at him with withered, rust stained but still deadly sharp scythes eager for blood.

The first harbinger swung down from a high position, Ivan blocked the scythe with ease as the two warriors were locked in a even deathlock, which surprised the harbinger of decay, but Ivan noticed the other two harbingers were closing in to attack him.

Using his new strength to push back against the bloated, heavy armored, nurglish rider before him, as the harbinger's bloated arms shuke and buckled against the strength of the young kislevite prince, until eventually Ivan pushed back the harbinger and broke his guard, allowing him to stab his sword through the head of the nurglish rider, killing him in one stroke.

As the Harbinger fell off his plague-steed onto the snow, the diseased daemonic horse neighed and ran off, leaving Ivan to face the other two approaching Harbingers of Decay.

While this duel was happening, the Hag Witch of the Shadow Lore was fighting against the Priestess of Putrefaction, Yuma Trollvile, using blasts of magic against the infamous lady of the Maggotkin.

But not being "extremely" mutated has its advantages, such as Yuma being able to be much agile than the usual servents of the Decaying God.

Dodging all the hag's magical attacks, she rushed closer and using Gul'galg's tentacles to launch herself into the air, in a great leap with her huge cleaver thirsty for blood, Yuma struck down, the Hag saw this and rised her wooded witch-staff to try blocking the attack, when one of her bears rised up and took the blow instead, as the cleaver chopped vertically-half of the right bear's head killing it.

The bear fell dead, bleeding profusely and quickly rotting from Yuma's Spoiling Blade, magical effect Yuma looked down at the dear animal and said with a smile on her face, "There you go. Get nice and spoil for the Cauldron later." Yuma turned her attention towards the Hag, pointing her Spoiling Blade at her, "At least your meat will be already ripe, and withered, a perfect sacrifice to the Grandfather, and a feast for the younglings!!" she laughed as she went to attack again.

Now stationary cause of the loss of one of her bears, the Hag tried to blast another bolt of magic at Yuma, only for the Priestess' Gul'galg to swing her staff at her and hit the Hag across the face.

Knocking her off her war-sled, and taking the initiative Yuma beheaded the last bear of war-sled basically crushing all chance of escape for the Hag Witch, giggling as she got closer, ready to kill one of her enemies when...

Gul'galg stretched his tentacles and pulled her away from a incoming attack, he saved her from Ivan's sword swing, she was surprised that the brat was able to survive a encounter with a Greater Deamon, but then she felt the damned Bear God's magic emanating from the prince and understood that Ursun interfered with his death.

Ivan has finally was able to join forces with the Hag Witch, who was standing back up slowly, Ursun's power pushes back Yuma, forcing the Priestess to fallback to her main forces, before Ivan could chase after her, a trembling was starting happen.

Bursting through the snowy horizon was the infamous creature, the skull-headed fortress beast, that carries the Dark Legion across the world, which only meant that "He" has come, using the distraction Yuma reorganized her forces, as Enzium laid down on the snow and open his side entrance, and a huge army of daemons and Chaos Warriors was coming out, lead by a blue armored, tzeentchian lord...Ixion Daemonhart has come.
