Rebirth of Nezha in the Investiture of the Gods

Chapter 100: The 4 Generals will rely on Mingzhu to triumph, Zhu Xiong passes on his teachings and departs for Qingqiu.

Trapped within the Spirit Communication Nine Transformations, Mo Lihong is now unable to voice his frustration; despite his profound skills, he cannot put them to use.

Originally, he thought it was just a simple array. Who would have imagined it was a chain array, where one is followed by another, each interlinked?

Although he has broken through over a dozen layers of the array, the ones behind seem nearly endless, leaving him in despair.

Fortunately, Mo Lihong is unaware that he's still trapped inside the Illusion Array; if he knew, he'd likely sink into greater hopelessness.

After all, while he believed he had broken over ten layers of the array, the truth is he's only escaped the Three Talents Formation within the Illusion Array.

"Disperse!"

The power of the Spirit Communication Nine Formation had been thoroughly demonstrated. Seeing that it had almost dealt a fatal blow to Mo Lihong, Li Mingzhu decided to withdraw the formation entirely.

Judging by the formation's displayed effectiveness, any Immortal under the cultivation level of Daluo Golden Immortal would stand no chance without a powerful magical treasure.

However, its weaknesses were clear: the Spirit Communication Nine Formation must be used during an ambush or under the guise of surprise, as it is still fundamentally connected to the characteristics of formations.

As the Spirit Communication Nine Formation dissipated, Mo Lihong staggered forward, his body battered and his spirit worn. Though he hadn't sustained injuries, the torment left him utterly exhausted.

"Die!"

Possibly disoriented by the array, Mo Lihong rushed out, brandishing his umbrella and aiming to kill Li Mingzhu.

"Stand down!"

Li Mingzhu didn't seem to move a muscle; with a light shout, reminiscent of a morning bell or evening gong, he seized control of Mo Lihong's spirit. At the same moment, he waved his hand and sent forth a beam of Upper Pure Divine Light.

The light instantly immobilized Mo Lihong, who had already been paralyzed by Li Mingzhu's commanding voice and lacked the time to counter the incoming Upper Pure Immortal Light. The overwhelming divine radiance pinned him in place effortlessly.

A second wave from Li Mingzhu's hand sent azure light toward Mo Lihong, not to attack but to restore his clarity and heal his minor injuries.

"My apologies!"

Li Mingzhu cupped his hands respectfully, his expression calm and composed.

There was no trace of arrogance or joy in his demeanor despite his resounding victory. His tranquil demeanor left the remaining three Mo Family Generals deeply impressed.

It was evident only someone truly worthy of being a core disciple of a great sect could display such decorum!

"Thank you, Fellow Daoist!"

Upon regaining his composure, Mo Lihong immediately bowed toward Li Mingzhu. Fully aware of the vast disparity in strength between them, he knew that had Li Mingzhu not held back, his demise would have been inevitable.

Even with his three brothers in support, there wouldn't have been the slightest chance. Earlier, the long spear taken out by Li Mingzhu had filled him with an overwhelming urge to submit.

Thankfully, Li Mingzhu hadn't unleashed the spear's full potential. If he had, Mo Lihong dared not imagine the outcome.

From this moment, Mo Lihong was wholeheartedly convinced. Beyond submission, his feelings toward Li Mingzhu were a mixture of admiration and fear.

Difference!

When the gap between two individuals is narrow, one might feel competitive. But when the disparity is monumental, any notion of comparison vanishes entirely.

Now, Mo Lihong could harbor no thoughts of rivalry against Li Mingzhu—only reverence remained.

"Esteemed uncles, you flatter me. Uncle Mo Lihong's Primordial Umbrella is formidable; it was only by chance that my technique happened to counter it!"

After stepping off the stage, Li Mingzhu accepted the Spiritual Wine handed to him by Little Zhu Xiong, taking a small sip. Without further ado, he departed the General's Mansion without bidding farewell.

Now that allegiance had been pledged, there was no need for additional words. Saying more would only make things awkward. He believed the four Mo Family Generals would know what to do.

"Mingzhu, why are you leaving?"

Little Zhu Xiong, perched atop Li Mingzhu's shoulders, asked in confusion. Although clever, he had yet to grasp the complexities of human interactions.

"The four Mo Family Generals have already pledged their loyalty. They know what to do. We should hurry back and reunite with Father—wouldn't that be better?"

Li Mingzhu smiled as he answered. Suddenly, as if recalling something, he turned to Little Zhu Xiong and asked, "Little Zhu Xiong, do you want to cultivate?"

"Like Little Thunder and Little Bird?"

Little Zhu Xiong responded indifferently, clearly having no particular interest.

"Exactly like that!"

Li Mingzhu sincerely hoped Little Zhu Xiong would begin cultivation. While Zhu Xiong had extraordinary talent, he hadn't started cultivating yet. This greatly troubled Li Mingzhu, especially since natural limits like lifespan posed a concern.

By attaining the Immortal Body, he wouldn't necessarily achieve eternity akin to Heaven and Earth, but he would gain a measure of self-preservation and address lifespan constraints.

"You should've asked me sooner! I want the best cultivation method!"

Surprisingly, Little Zhu Xiong jumped to Li Mingzhu's opposite shoulder, playfully smacking him on the head as if scolding him for not bringing it up earlier.

Had anyone else behaved this way with Li Mingzhu, it would certainly lead to a fierce battle to the death. But Little Zhu Xiong was clearly an exception.

"No problem!"

Li Mingzhu burst into laughter, finally settling a matter that had weighed on his heart.

As for the cultivation method, it would undoubtedly be the best—the Demon Emperor's "Demon God Technique." Few techniques would be more fitting for the Demon Clan's cultivation.

Although the Demon Clan itself lacked this "Demon God Technique," it was recorded within the River Map and Luo Book. Legend has it that the Kunpeng had long obtained this supreme cultivation method for the Demon Clan. However, since the Kunpeng had its own path, it merely used it for reference rather than direct cultivation.

After passing the "Demon God Technique" to Little Zhu Xiong, Li Mingzhu quickly returned to the caravan to inform Li Jing of what had transpired in the city.

Li Jing was mildly displeased that the Mo Family Four Generals dared challenge his son, but knowing they would serve him in the future, he reluctantly let it go.

"Father, I vowed to the Nine-tailed Fox that I'd visit Qingqiu. Allow me to bid farewell here; I'll meet you in the North Sea!"

For a promise to be upheld, actions must follow.

"Very well! Go forth, my son. Though I lack great strength, I'm more than capable of safeguarding myself!"

Li Jing laughed heartily as he spoke, sincere yet humble. His abilities, while not unparalleled, were formidable nonetheless.

"Take care, Father. Your son departs now!"

With those parting words, Li Mingzhu vanished in a flash. Yang Chan and Ao Yu, meanwhile, scoffed coldly before chasing after him.

The three young ones in the caravan wanted to tag along but were immediately stopped in their tracks by a simultaneous rebuke from the two women: "Get back!"

A perfect display of coordination!

The trio could only retreat dejectedly back to the caravan. Luckily, wine was plentiful among their ranks, providing some comfort.

Li Mingzhu's Divine Sense observed the scene unfold, and he could only smile wryly in response.
