Rebirth of a Dungeon Master

Chapter 35:

It was a day after the Orcs' defeat.

"Chairman Rimuru Tempest, please begin the conference," Treyni announces, but Rimuru remains silent.

Seeing the hesitation, Nekra steps in. "That was a fast war, nya," she comments, taking a seat next to where Treyni was standing. "So... all in favor of making Rimuru our conference leader, say I, nya."

"I," Treyni says.

"I," the lizard chieftain follows.

"I," several of the orcs echo.

"Of course, I," Benimaru adds.

"Nya, I," Nekra chimes in.

"What! But you're the demon lord!" Rimuru interjects, surprised at Nekra's candidacy.

"Correction, I am a demon lord, but that doesn't mean I want to govern. Even older sister Milim doesn't govern her territories, nya," Nekra explains.

Treyni nods in understanding.

Before the conference begins, Rimuru wishes to share the information gathered. Everyone looks at the slime in anticipation as Rimuru conveys the cause for the Orc uprising and their current situation. Tears are shed by some orc representatives as they listen to Rimuru, expecting harsh punishment.

Following Rimuru's explanation, the discussion shifts to confirming casualties, demands for reparations, and fair compensation. As the conference progresses, Rimuru proves adept at handling the discourse, impressing Nekra with her diplomatic skills.

Eventually, Rimuru concludes her thoughts on pursuing the discussion about the orcs' sins, continuing the alliance with the Lizardmen, and inviting the orcs to join the alliance. "And those are my thoughts. I bet you have many things you want to say, but know this: I will not permit any punishment to befall the orcs. That is because I have thus promised to Orc Disaster. I will bear all their sins. If you got something to complain about, let me hear it!" Rimuru declares.

The orcs stare at Rimuru in amazement, while the Head poses a question about the necessity of an alliance now that the war has ended.

"That's an easy question, nya," Nekra interjects. "Humans are stupid. Once they find out about how we killed an orc lord, they will send their armies after us, nya. I should know; I have had to fight a few armies in the past, nya."

The lizard head questions further, "Why are the orcs joining?"

"Labor, nya... Rimuru only has a few wolves and like 60 goblins, do you have any clue how understaffed she is, nya? Not to mention orcs are strong, especially High orcs after they get named, nya," Nekra responds, looking at the lizard chief as if he's an idiot.

“"Uh... She?" Rimuru asked, his voice betraying a mix of surprise and uncertainty.

Nekra's head whipped back over to the slime, her expression registering confusion and surprise. "What nya?"

"I'm not a she. I am a slime who doesn't have a gender, and even still, I prefer being male," Rimuru stated firmly, his tone carrying a hint of frustration at the persistent misgendering.

Nekra's head seemed to stall for a moment, her features reflecting a blend of realization and bewilderment. The realization that she had been unintentionally misgendering Rimuru for centuries seemed to hit her all at once.

"You're not?" Nekra asked, her voice tinged with uncertainty and a touch of embarrassment.

"No," Rimuru stated, his voice carrying a sense of resolution as he reaffirmed his gender identity.

"Nya," Nekra muttered, sitting back down with a perplexed expression, her confusion palpable in the air.

“Any way, where were we in this peace disucussion?” Rimuru asks turning back to find everyone staring at him.

“What?” Rimuru asks

“You’re not a slime girl?” Benimaru asks his voice tinged with dissapointment.

“Slime girl? What the hell is a slime girl?” Rimuru asks

Shion suddenly leans down and whispers into Rimuru's ears only for said slime to suddenly glow a pinkish red.

"THIS ISNT THAT TYPE OF WORLD!"
