Rebirth in Another World as the Undead Queen

Ch. 85

Necromancer

"You all... never mind... just keep moving forward..."

"Understood, Your Majesty."

Little Black answered and continued to lead the way at the front, while Little White went to pick up his arrows.

Behind them, a group of Skeleton Warriors, after drawing their swords, glanced at each other and then—almost out of instinct—sheath their blades together in perfect unison.

Holding swords was exhausting, and it interfered with their chanting of "666"...

It was at this moment that Serea finally saw the information about the enemies after their deaths.

Role: Skeleton (Undead)
Level: 9
Status: Deceased
Spirit: E
Strength: B
Agility: C
Endurance: D
Constitution: D
Charisma: F
Luck: F
Skills: Basic Slash, Combo Strike, Cleave

Description: Skeleton, an undead entity evolving from cannon fodder to the level of a weakling.

Reading the monster's description, Serea felt she may have made a big deal out of nothing by coming here.

Thinking back, Little Black had actually planned to enter here yesterday after scouting—it had already dealt with over a dozen zombies outside, but hesitated for fear of an accident, so Serea stopped him and told him to come back first.

And now Serea pondered the question: if she had let Little Black go in by himself yesterday, would she have been able to sleep in this morning instead of coming out at the crack of dawn?

Hmm... That was a thought worth reflecting on...

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

Four skeletons were directly shattered by Little White's arrows, while Little Black retracted his tailbone from a sweeping attack.

Together, they dealt with the second wave of monsters. With that, the ancient tomb of Adis had finally come to an end.

Exiting the corridor, Little Black led the Skeleton Warriors into a vast underground chamber.

Roughly estimating, this chamber must have been about five meters below ground, and the space was massive and empty.

A bone-filled ring, Little Black's exit from the corridor put him at the bottom of the ring.

The so-called "ring" was made of layers of raised, concentric walls—the entire space resembled a round, empty coliseum.

Atop those concentric and raised rings, stone coffins were neatly arranged among the bones.

At the opposite end of the ring from Little Black, there was another massive stone gate.

"Is this the same seal as the stone gate outside? Does this mean that opening this gate will lead to an even larger space below?"

Serea spoke as she ordered Little Black to get closer to the stone gate, and Little Black complied.

Gazing at the stone gate, sealed by a 'magical seal', Serea turned to ask Dogsius.

"So, magic Theory Instructor, can you break this seal?"

After establishing a mental connection with Serea, Dogsius saw the magical seal on the gate.

"Master, this is a very ancient seal. There's no problem opening it, but I will need a magic stone. With a magic stone, I can probe the seal's internal structure."

"And if you don't have one?"

"Then it may take me about a day to try and figure it out little by little—if we're lucky, it could go faster."

"..."

Hearing this, Serea felt a headache coming on.

Embarrassingly, she had originally kept a magic stone in her spatial ring, but had left it with the convoy to make room for more important treasures... basically, she'd lost it...

"Looks like we'll have to try little by little. Let's head down as well—after all, the undead here can't threaten us."

After confirming that all the undead had been cleared, Serea and her three companions entered the corridor, which led them down to the circular space below.

The Skeleton Warriors spread out to protect Serea and her three companions in the center.

Serea led Celia straight toward the magically sealed stone gate, but they had only taken a few steps when Dogsius, the living radar, suddenly warned her.

"Someone's coming—four of them!"

"People?"

"Yes, human spiritual fluctuations."

Since they were humans, Serea glanced at their surroundings.

The area was so open that the intruders would definitely spot them as soon as they descended—so the only choice was...

"Hide!"

Serea ordered immediately, and the Skeleton Warriors promptly lay down in the heaps of bones.

Because the chamber was littered with human remains—many still clad in armor—she told the Skeleton Warriors to lie among them, while she and her own group dove behind the raised stone coffins for cover.

Little Black entered stealth mode.

In an instant, all the Skeleton Warriors found nearby piles of bones, laid down, and extinguished the soul-flames in their eyes.

On first glance, no one would detect their presence.

Thunk, thunk, thunk!

Footsteps echoed as torchlight lit up the corridor entrance. Four people entered.

Their clothing revealed an assassin, a warrior, a priest, and a mage—a classic adventuring party. But why were these four here?

Serea was puzzled, but she was certain; the sudden opening of the sealed tomb must be related to them.

At that moment, the thief among them spoke.

"Captain Marlow, something's odd. We didn't go inside after opening the tomb last time, but there are clear signs of battle here—zombies and skeletons are all dead. Is it dangerous in here...?"

The female thief sounded worried. Hearing her address the warrior as 'Captain', Serea focused her gaze on him.

Description: A novice noble adventurer. Unlike most who are forced into adventuring for survival, for him, adventure is mere leisurely entertainment.

Judging by his stats, he posed no threat to their group.

Responding to the thief's question, the warrior named Marlow replied.

"Don't worry, beverly. There're only some zombies and skeletons here, and with the cleric 'Camilla', they'll be no problem. Besides, don't we also have Mr. Bondoni?"

As Marlow spoke, he glanced back at the man he called 'Bondoni'—a mage, robed and staff in hand.

The mage's hood obscured his face, so Serea couldn't make out his features. But for some reason, he felt strangely familiar.

That familiarity was from his aura!

Upon seeing this man's information, Serea maintained a calm expression, but inwardly she was now watching him closely.

A necromancer appearing here—no matter how she looked at it, something unusual was going on.

(To be continued...)
