Chapter 197
Casey glared at the other person fiercely and said, “Shut up, you scared him.” Seeing Vincent’s interested expression, Casey warned, “Vincent, I’m warning you, Ximu is my adopted son. You’d better control yourself and not bring any evil ideas toward him.”
Vincent raised his eyebrows and glanced at Chu Muxi. “Casey, when did you adopt an adopted son? Is this really just an adopted son?”
Chu Muxi glared at him fiercely, and Vincent touched his chin with interest on his face.
“Okay, just remember not to have bad ideas,” Casey said, displeased. “Let’s go, Ximu, follow me.”
Vincent clicked his tongue. “What a fierce and exquisite porcelain doll.”
“Vincent!” Casey warned again.
Vincent patted him on the back with his big hand, almost sending Casey flying. Casey frowned, but the giant just smiled apologetically, though it was obviously intentional.
Casey said helplessly, “Okay, okay, stop teasing. Where are the goods? Take me to see them; it’s important to do business.” He then told Chu Muxi, “Follow closely, be careful of people here who like to eat children…” he threatened.
Chu Muxi lowered his head and hummed, then followed him silently, covering up the coldness in his eyes.
After turning a few corners, they heard Vincent say, “We’re here,” and they stopped.
Chu Muxi looked up and saw a connecting bridge in front of him, with a metal gate on the other side of the bridge.
There was a screen on the bridge and someone guarding it. There were also guards every three steps, which made the place heavily guarded.
Chu Muxi glanced at it and then lowered his head again.
Vincent raised his eyebrows and glanced at Casey, who smiled. “I picked the kid.”
Vincent chuckled. “Very good, it suits my taste very well.”
Chu Muxi turned a deaf ear and stared at the ground in a daze.
The group walked across the connecting bridge and arrived in front of the metal gate.
Vincent scanned his fingerprints and irises, and then the door opened. He walked in, spread his hands, and said loudly to Casey, “Dear friend, this is my best batch today. If it weren’t for you, no one else would know about it. They can’t see it.”
“I hope your goods are much better then,” Casey teased, walking in.
Chu Muxi followed closely, and the metal door behind him slowly closed.
He heard Casey exclaim, “Vincent, where did you get these?”
After finishing his speech, Vincent didn’t reply. When he turned around and saw the smile on Vincent’s face, Casey immediately said awkwardly, “Sorry, I overstepped the bounds.”
The rule of their trade was that when they got a good product, they didn’t ask where it came from.
“I’m so excited, Vincent, you are really amazing.” Casey kept praising him and took a few steps forward.
Even though Chu Muxi didn’t look up, he could feel the excitement in Casey’s voice at that moment.
Vincent said cheerfully, “I told you, there’s a batch of good goods this time, brother. It’s me, who let you come and see them in advance. If it were anyone else, they wouldn’t have such good luck. You know, if the others on the Black Star’s list knew I had such a good product, you would never see them here today.”
Chu Muxi finally couldn’t help but look up. After all, pretending not to be interested and calm was becoming difficult.
When he raised his head, he was truly shocked.
There were two neat rows of mechas in front of him. Though they weren’t very close, it was enough for him to see clearly that the models of these mechas were the latest batch of new mechas from the Empire’s garrison this year.
