Rebirth Counterattack: I Heard That the Imperial Marshal Has a Crush on Me

Chapter 193

Under the cover of Zhou Xu and others, Chu Muxi left quickly and then returned to his house.

The people who followed him immediately dispersed, but did not leave. Instead, they hid in various dark places around.

When he heard the knock on the door, Chu Muxi stretched out and deliberately asked in a hoarse voice as if he had just woken up: “Who?”

“It’s me, Casey,” Casey said from outside.

Chu Muxi walked over and opened the door, rubbing his eyes, looking a little confused and impatient to be woken up. “Boss? What’s wrong?”

As he opened the door, he turned around and walked back, apparently wanting to continue sleeping.

Casey was stunned, not expecting this brat to actually walk to the bed.

He hurriedly closed the door with his backhand and stopped him by saying, “Hey, don’t sleep again, brat. I have something to ask you for.”

Chu Muxi turned around, blinked, and asked, “What?” He stretched out his hand to cover his mouth and yawned.

Casey looked at him carefully and saw that there were red marks on his cheeks from sleeping.

Chu Muxi frowned, “Why are you staring at me?”

Casey laughed twice. “You are indeed a little brat. Hurry up and pack up; I’ll take you to see some good things.”

“What good stuff? I’m so sleepy. I did that job for you last night and didn’t sleep all night.” Chu Muxi rubbed his face and found a big bottle from the corner.

Casey looked closely and saw that it was probably a bottle picked up from somewhere. It had been cleaned and used to fill with water.

It was Casey’s first time coming to the slum area, though many people came to the Black Star for the first time. Ximu (Chu Muxi) had lived here quite long and were later introduced to his shop to take on jobs.

He observed carefully and noticed that many of the things in Chu Muxi’s house had probably been collected slowly.

Various homemade items could be seen everywhere. Although all of them were semi-finished products, they were neatly arranged and tidied away.

He had discovered early on that this child had a different temperament from others, and it wasn’t as simple as he had said.

After all, it was impossible for a child from an ordinary family to be exposed to the maintenance of mechas.

But judging from the response he had given when reporting, he had only concealed a small part of the matter.

“You’ll know when you get there. Quickly clean up and wash your face,” Casey pointed at his face happily and spoke.

Chu Muxi poured a basin of water, lowered his head to look at it, clicked his tongue in annoyance, washed his face, and dried it with a towel.

“Okay, where are we going? Will we be back in the evening?” Chu Muxi asked.

Casey asked jokingly, “What? Are you afraid I’ll sell you?”

Chu Muxi rolled his eyes at him and said calmly, “I haven’t eaten yet.”

Casey laughed twice, pulled the person over, and walked out, ruffling his hair at the same time.

“There’s something for you to eat. You can eat whatever you want after you finish your work,” Casey said, taking him out directly.

Lu Junzhi frowned slightly as he watched Chu Muxi’s back being taken away by Casey.

Zhou Xu consoled him, “Our people didn’t report any movement over there, so it probably has nothing to do with Cardo.”

Casey was a member of the Cardo family, responsible for the slums and recruiting more newcomers to the Cardo family.

“Follow them and see where they go,” Lu Junzhi said in a low voice.

Zhou Xu nodded. “I know, someone has already followed.”

Meanwhile, Chu Muxi was taken out of the slums by Casey and directly boarded an aircraft.
