Re-Awakening: I Ascend with a Legendary class

Chapter 255: War of Wildered Tribes

The fifty Gold-rank adventurers who were chosen as participants for the war event got an option to enter.

Almond, Lily, Natalia, and other Grim Breakers used it, and it arrived on a stone platform at the center of a rather barren ground.

[War of Wildered Tribes]

—> The 50 participants from each world will have a territory at four different places in the Region of Wildered, where 20 tribes are situated. Each world must ally with a tribe, form alliances, and ultimately become the last one standing.

—> The event will end only when people of one world remain and conquer the Region of Wildered.

—> People can exit and leave from their world to the Region of Wildered at will, with teleportation taking 3 seconds of delay.

—> Surrending is allowed. Once you surrender, you will be expelled from the War and may not enter again.

"What are those colorful pillars of light?"

"There are twenty of them."

"Eh? Maybe they represent the 20 tribes and their location?"

"I wonder how powerful the tribes are."

"We have to scout and gather information first."

Almond floated up and cleared his throat, releasing enhanced sound to attract everyone's attention.

"This area is our territory, and we'd need a base, so half of you will stay here and build our base while the other half will come with me to scout ahead and ally with a tribe," Almond swept his glance at everyone as he continued, "I want everyone to listen to me and do what I say. If you have ideas, you can speak, but there are no ideas without information, so for now, we'll do this."

Among the fifty gold-rank adventurers aside from Grim Breakers, Almond saw some familiar faces as well, like Brynjal from Proximax guild, Lin Yuan of Blackstar Guild, Ryker from League of Firefly whom Almond met when he first went to visit Lily there, and other top-level 100 Gold-rank Adventurers who used to be super-rookies of Silver-rank.

Only the top 50 scorers of Gold-rank were chosen, so everyone here was the strongest in the Gold-rank bracket.

"My party has the best gears, as you all can see, so we will head out to scout and get ourselves an ally first. Meanwhile, the rest of you, please build the base here."

"No problem," Brynjal nodded. "We'll build the base."

Almond found nothing in the first four-kilometer radius, so he moved to the nearest pillar of the light. Although the pillar of white-ish bronze light was visible, Almond was surprised that he had to cross 50 kilometers before finally reaching there.

Four humanoids, one bull, one cow, and two oxen guards stopped the group, but all of them began sweating bullets shortly before one of them said something to a crystal, and a loud horn started ringing in the tribe's area that stretched a 1.2-kilometer radius. It was like a small town with a tall wall border around it with six gates in different directions.

"Did we scare them?" Natalia laughed.

"Lol, all twenty of us have legendary-rank gear sets, and these guards are just Gold-rank. Of course, they'd be scared."

"Why are you saying Lol? Not even el-o-el, but lol?"

"We used to say lol in our academy, it sounded funny and we just got used to using it, lol," Finn grinned.

"…"

"What do we do now, boss?"

"Are we fighting?"

Suddenly, everyone got a notification.

[Make Your Choice]

1. Fight against the tribe, and subjugate them.

—Reward: 10,000 cumulative points to your world, and 10,000 points to the fifty of you.

Or

2. Ally with the tribe by gaining their trust.

—Reward: 5000 cumulative points to your world, and 1000 points to the fifty of you.

[Only the Leader can make the choice.]

Note: Each tribe can awaken its Guardian Deity once when they feel the grave danger to their tribe. The Guardian Deity stays active for 1 minute, indestructible. Each Guardian Deity is powerful akin to a top Legendary-rank boss, and can only be contended properly by another Guardian Deity.

"Yeah, no, we are not fighting," Almond said to the party before his eyes flickered and he shouted, "We are not here to fight!"

His voice was boosted by wind and light and drifted to each corner of the tribe with the space wave he spread.

Almond was already seeing many of the tribesmen coming, battle-ready, but his voice made them halt before they looked at their leader, a four-meter-tall giant black bull with explosive muscles and golden horns.

Platinum rank level 150.

The tribe leader made a jump, crossing a large distance as he landed right before Almond, ten meters across from him.

"If you are not here to fight, then what are you here for?"

Almond smiled and said, "We are here to become your ally."

"Our ally?" the bull narrowed his eyes. "Do you know what it means to be our ally?"

"I don't know," Almond shook his head, "But I am willing to listen and understand."

The black bull raised his eyebrows as he looked at Almond's expression and nodded, "There is an area called Swamp of the One Tooth thirty kilometers to the southwest. A beast of great might live there."

"My Avantana Tribe's ultimate weapon needs the remaining one tooth of that beast to make it complete, so if you can brave danger to kill that powerful beast and bring us its one tooth, we will trust you and become your ally."

Everyone was surprised and then excited. After all, killing powerful monsters was their specialty!

"We will bring you that monster's remaining tooth," Almond grinned. "Just wait."

Turning around, he faced the Grim Breakers and said, "You all stay here. I'll go quickly and bring the tooth."

"Wha…"

"Come on, boss."

Lily blinked, waiting for Almond to give the reason.

"Chillax, " Almond chuckled and waved his hand as he summoned his Spirit Wraiths. "I sensed a few deep magic readings with a natural magic veil covering some areas on the way here, so you all split into four teams and go check them out."

"I've created the map of the area we've crossed so far in 3D, and here are the five spots I detected."

Almond waved his hand as he distributed the map.

All of them found this interesting and were eager to check those spots out, so after splitting spirit wraiths into four groups, they left.

Almond also started teleporting swiftly to the southwest and soon arrived at the iconic swamp surrounded by a thick forest stretching 500 meters on all sides.

The swamp was 60 meters radius and a slightly oval shape with a powerful presence inside.

Almond blinked as his All-Seeing Eyes penetrated through the magical swamp and observed the beast.

A dragon-like beast, its body clad in thick, dark green scales reminiscent of dried, withered leaves. Its broad, heavy wings appeared utterly incapable of flight, weighed down by its massive, bloated belly and dumpy, ungainly frame. The creature's head, though draconic in essence, bore a distinct, grotesque charm.

A single, oversized white fang jutted outward prominently while its counterpart lay shattered.

'So that's the fang I need,' Almond's eyes glinted. 'And a juicy spirit as well.'

[Agate Fanged Earth Dragon]

'Very strong.'

Almond grinned, 'But I am stronger.'

It was as if his fighting spirit jolted the dragon, causing it to open its eyes as the whole swamp began shaking.

A deep gurgling vibration rang before the swamp burst out, covering over twenty meters of the area as the thick dark green water shot at Almond while the dragon surfaced half of its body out of the swamp, eyeing him as if looking at its prey.
