Chapter 251: War Participating Trial
The old monsters were dumbfounded to the max as they witnessed the power of Almond's attack.
'That may not be my strongest move, but that was still my strongest attack,' Almond blinked. 'As expected, this King Gunther must have a Legendary-rank talent to have such defense and fast recovery.'
'If he knows martial arts and knows how to utilize his power best, he must also have some powerful attacks.'
While he was thinking, the other old monsters were bombarding him.
[Silvester: Brat, what the fuck was that?]
[Bianca: Space, that was space element, what's your rank of Space elemental mastery?]
[Liang: Space, Lightning, and Sand, that space also felt like a variant given how different it was compared to space we know…is that really the case, brat?]
[Hiroshi: It appears that you are already stronger than most of us old folks.]
[Shiro-sen: That seems to be the case, haha.]
[Almond: Not at all, seniors. I am still lacking when it comes to some areas.]
[Arjun: It's fine, you cheeky brat. You don't need to humble brag.]
[James: Haha, exactly. It seems that we have to include you in our gathering so we can also learn a thing or two from you.]
[Aarav: Sounds good, do grace us with your presence when we have our next gathering, haha.]
[Almond: I would love that because I do want to learn many things from you all.]
"That was a magnificently powerful attack!" King Gunther said with a grin. "Though I am sure that wasn't your strongest attack. It lacked the danger my instincts feel from you, so you must have another hand."
'Shut up, already,' Almond wryly smiled.
The old monsters side-eyed Almond upon hearing King Gunther's words.
"Anyway, welcome to the Pygathor Kingdom! Your people are welcome here anytime. And since this is warring time, we shall begin our first meeting at your time. I'm sure you must be eager to learn more, so we will give you all the information about this battlefield and whatever we know about other forces."
King Gunther grinned as he slammed his right palm on his left arm, producing a thundering sound as he laughed and said, "Let us conquer this battlefield together."
[Congratulations, the ten of you are rewarded with 1000 battlefield points, and your planet Earth has acquired 1000 cumulative battlefield points.]
"We want to hold the meeting as soon as possible, so how long will it take you to prepare?" Admiral Rudra asked.
"Hmmm, then I'd need two hours."
"Good. Then we will return after two hours."
As the group left the palace, Admiral Rudra decided to drop a bomb.
[Rudra: I was going to inform you all of this, but now is a good time as any. Lerkeion, the demon, is gone. Almond defeated him when he came to attack Almond and his party in the courtyard.]
"…"
"…"
"Is he dead?" Shiro-sen asked.
"Not dead, but I sent him to outer space. No idea when he will return, but next time he comes, he'll be dead for sure," Almond grinned.
"Also, Ahem, can I get information shared in the meeting later? Because I don't want to attend it."
"No problem. You go do whatever you want and tell us if you find something on this battlefield," Admiral Rudra nodded.
"Thanks," Almond grinned. He opened his status and exited the battlefield, arriving in the central hall of the Battlefield Hub.
'It seems they are still in the War Participating Trial,' Almond assumed as he failed to contact Lily and others, his wristwatch telling the signals didn't reach their wristwatches.
He also decided to enter as there was already an option about it in his status. Every gold-rank Adventurer got this option, so everyone could participate, but only the top 50 best scorers in the trial would get to participate in the War Event.
Almond was curious who the other Gold-rank adventurers would be aside from his Grim Breakers party.
'One thing is for sure, the chance of dying will be higher in the war event than in the Labyrinth. Let's hope there isn't someone like me in the other three worlds,' Almond thought with a wry expression and pressed the button in his status as he vanished.
Almond found himself in a vast grassy plain with a jolly sun in the sky and a comfortable breeze dancing in the air.
[Welcome to the War Participating Trial.]
[Past this grassy plain is a barren battlefield where Herejol Ox Tribe and Viperfang Tiger Tribe are battling, each with 10,000 warriors. Your job is to side with the third party, Blood-Horned Rabbit Tribe, with 5000 warriors and participate in the war, acquiring scores based on the number of warriors you kill from both sides.]
[Good luck.]
Almond suddenly saw an army of lean-muscled humanoid rabbits manifesting in front of him, with blood-red horns, holding different weapons, and wearing a variety of armor.
"Warriors! Kill!"
The leader of the Blood-Horned Rabbit Tribe shouted two simple words before dashing forward, descending the grassy plain of high ground to participate in the battle 2 kilometers away.
The leader was Platinum-rank level 150 while the rest of the warriors were Gold-rank level 100.
Almond saw them rushing ahead and blinked, teleporting right above the barren battlefield where Ox and Tiger tribes had just begun their clash.
'So it's going to be a chaotic battle, eh?' Almond thought, and his eyes glinted. 'According to the notification, the score is based on my kills of those two tribes…well then, I should be able to end this fast.'
Almond stretched his arms half, still slightly bent at his elbows while his palms surged with black-silver energy that transformed into two chakrams.
Pouring all of his 5000 Mana into them, both chakrams enlarged while getting properly condensed, able to house Almond's following executions.
'Severance Chakrams sounds good,' Almond grinned.
Injecting a Spirit Syringe into himself, he fully recovered his Mana while his stats got a boost as he proceeded to empower the 10-meter radius large chakrams further.
He then proceeded to enchant these chakrams, transmuting 4000 Mana into Golden Haze Lightning and 1000 Mana into Sand of Vibrant Wave as the chakrams became sparklingly golden.
This time, Almond shaped the sharp glass that resulted from the synergy of Sand and Lightning into tiny blades, condensing them as blades while vibrating them as much as possible with his control to increase their sharpness.
*Buzz….*
The air and space itself cracked as the chakrams spun so blindingly fast that they looked slow to normal eyes.
'I should make this into a proper skill. With skill construct, I should be able to increase its spinning speed even higher, not to mention I can instantly cast it once I create its skill rune,' Almond thought as he looked at the deadly chakrams floating above.
Almond then looked at the big battlefield.
East and west sides had mixed forces of Ox and Tiger tribes fighting each other while both tribe's other portion at the south began fighting against the Rabbit tribe's warriors.
Without further ado, he threw the chakrams, one at the east and one at the west, architecting a bloody massacre as both tribes' warriors were shredded instantly wherever the chakrams passed by.
Almond floated above, controlling the chakrams and killing the warriors akin to using an eraser to wipe the canvas clean of chaos. The chakrams spun with unnatural precision, arcs of blood tracing their deadly paths through the battlefield. Warriors fell in waves, their cries drowned by the relentless hum of the spinning chakrams.
