Raising A Few Wives in a Beast Apocalypse

"Remember that time I promised you that I'd give you all gifts when Hope threaten... Cough, I mean, when I thought I should give you gifts? Well, I got you these..." Muku took out seven fruits that looked somewhat like apples but were bigger and glowing green in colour... No, they were literally glowing green.

If it wasn't because the fruits gave off a gentle aura. The girls might have run away thinking that Muku wanted to poison them with irradiated apples. After all, the colour did scream "radiation!"

"Really? Fruits?... And one each too? Well, thank you I guess..." Emily spoke while looking at her fruit.

While she was happy that Muku remembered something from all those years ago and got them gifts. She still expected something a little better than fruits after what Mrs C sent them.

It was the same with the other girls. Despite that, they were still happy to receive the fruits. Maybe they were a rare delicacy in the Beast World and Muku saved them for them even though he could have eaten them all.

Thinking like that, they felt better about the fruits. After all, they all knew how hard it was to save a tasty treat for others when you want it yourself.

Muku saw through their thoughts but didn't say anything. Everything would be made clear after they take their first bite of the fruits...

Crunch!

The girls took bites at the same time as if they had planned it. And as expected, within seconds, they had finished the whole thing. They completely forgot about being proper ladies due to the great taste.

Just when they were about to ask if Muku had more, something happened first... All their bodies began burning up.

Within seconds they were all red in colour and breathing heavily from the heat.

Muku and Raya gave each other a knowing look as they remembered the time they went through the same process.

Suddenly, Layla gestured with her hand and pointy ice pillars appeared all over the room next to the girls.

They all instantly felt better. It wasn't by a lot but it was better than before.

Muku and Raya turned envious as they remembered how they suffered everything raw. They then cast disappointed gazes at each other as if they were disappointed by the other for not having the ice element.

It was a comical sight which went unnoticed by the girls who were still battling the heat.

They didn't act up or ask Muku what was going on since they knew that he'd never do anything to harm them.

As individuals who had experienced enough things to be called experts, they immediately realised that Muku had given them an opportunity. And instead of wasting time by asking him what it was. They chose to focus on their bodies instead.

Maybe that would improve their gains if they properly guide the energy from the fruits which was in their bodies.

They soon realised that they couldn't affect the energy at all. So, they chose to just observe it work as they tried to figure out what it was doing.

A while later...

"Am I the only one who feels a lot stronger physically?" Freya who could be considered the weakest in the group physically due to her class's disposition asked with uncertainty.

It was an insult to call her the weakest physically since she was worse thanages due to her class. Mages at least moved around on the battlefield. But she, well, she just had to sit in her fortress and let it do the work at her command...

So yeah, she was physically weaker. So her feeling stronger was a big thing. Especially when she felt so much stronger that her body felt almost foreign.

"No, I also feel a lot stronger. Like I could easily lift a boulder ten times my size with one hand" Emily supported her.

"Well, I wouldn't know about being that strong. But I definitely do feel a lot stronger..." Chloe eccoed the other two.

She and the others immediately turned to Muku. They didn't say anything, but it was obvious what they wanted to know.

"Raya. Do you want to take this one?" Muku spoke while looking at Raya instead of telling the girls what they wanted to know.

He felt that the little girl was having it too easy since they returned. So of course, he had to make it slightly harder for her because he could.

"I'll give you the Shark's body if you say yes..." Muku bribed her before she could say no.

"Tsk. Fine... Listen up, lady. The fruit you ate is called... Well, I don't know. We didn't ask. Anyway, its purpose is as you've experienced, to upgrade your physical capabilities. It works like this. If your physical capabilities are at the Pseudo-Legendary class stage, it will double them. If you're below that, you'll be upgraded to that stage. And for the rest of your life, that will be your new minimum as long as you aren't hurt..." Raya who couldn't pass up a free meal spoke as clearly as she could.

"So what you're saying is that mom is now two times stronger than she was before and the rest of us are now as strong as she was before?" Layla asked for clarity.

Even though she asked, she already knew that what she said was what happened without confirming. This was obvious from her glowing eyes.

"Yes and no... From what I know, Ms Audrey's physical capabilities improve with her rank. So, since her current rank is close to PR4. Her physical capabilities were close to those before being doubled. You girls on the other hand have only been upgraded to the base of R4. Which is LR4. So, in the broad sense, if we look at the class, you've caught up. But if we look at it objectively, you are still weaker. But hey, since the strongest of you was at best PR3 in strength, despite all of you being R4s, I say it's a major win for you all... Why are you looking at me like that?" Raya explained everything to the best of her capabilities.

However, she noticed that the girls were staring too much. It was a bit unsettling, so she asked.

"Oh, sorry. It's just weird to see a cute little girl like you speak like that. It's like listening to an old lady in a child's body..." Audrey apologised and explained.

"Oh... Well, if you put it like that. I guess I am wise beyond my years. In fact, I'm actually smarter than your leader whether you believe it or not is up to you, but that's the truth" Raya who was weak to compliments immediately began flexing while indirectly calling Muku dumber than a child.

"So cute! (Hey!)" Audrey couldn't control herself anymore and jumped on Raya and hugged the little dragon girl with a big smile on her face.

Raya of course protested and tried to run away. Which she could do unlike last time when she was getting used to her new body. Unfortunately for her, Muku the backstabber bound her in place with his Telekinesis.

And she couldn't break away without doing something major which would destroy the mansion. So, she unwillingly resigned herself to her fate.

She let Audrey play with her and pinch her cheeks for close to five minutes. Internally she was thinking that the shark meat better be tasty enough to be worth the effort and suffering she went through...

"Are you not done yet?" Muku asked Audrey who didn't look like she was going to let go of Raya anytime soon if not asked.

"Oh, cough. Sorry about that. I got carried away. I can't help but think of her as my own child when I look at her. Layla was too cold back then and wouldn't let me touch her, the brat(Mom!). Cough, anyway, yeah, let's continue. Thank you very much for the gift. Now the whole group has the capabilities to defend themselves or at least run away properly even without mana" Audrey came back to her senses and replied to Muku.

She was so flustered that she accidentally cursed Layla.

"Oh, so that's how it is. Well, if it makes you feel better, you'll have a child to raise from infancy eventually, so... Yeah" Muku replied.

"You're right... I definitely will" Audrey spoke while looking at Muku.

Her grey eyes turned red for a split second before going back to normal.

Muku felt a headache coming in. Hw felt that his future might be darker than he thought... One might think he was lucky until they realised that pleasure can kill...

"Anyway, let me add a bit more to what Raya said. Like she said, now all of you have the physical capabilities of the lowest stage in your rank. Which is the beginning of Pseudo-Legendary physical-type evolvers who aren't freaks like Jade... Anyway, I guess I have to congratulate Freya and Elsa for finally catching up. To think you two have also reached R4!. Very impressive!" Muku spoke.

"Thank you. But I haven't truly caught up yet... There's still more work to be done..." Elsa replied humbly.

Freya nodded shyly beside her.

Even if they saw things like that, everyone else was proud of them. After all, they had mostly improved their strength alone without help from the others...

"If you say so. Now all that's left is some training to get used to your new bodies and my gift would be over. What do you all think?" Muku asked with a smile.
