RAIDS ONLINE: RAGNAROK BEAST

Chapter 73: New Member

[RAIDS ONLINE @ Location: Area CC+33 Rusted Tower City.]

At what looks like once a famous city, centered at its symbol, which is now a rusted and ruined tower, the Guardian Beast team has gathered, waiting for their new member.

"So, about BlueB*'s friend, what exactly is she like?"

SilverPup, who's been sitting at the edge of the overlook at the top of the rusted tower, asks her inquiry while looking mischievously at Luel.

Luel, who comprehended what SilverPup actually meant with her question, just looked away, trying to ignore her and end their conversation.

"Now that you're living together with two attractive girls. How does that feel, Lucent?"

"Enough with your indecent fantasy, perv!"

Feeling annoyed as usual by SilverPup's teasing, BlueHeroine tries to push SilverPup off the overlook. But SilverPup skillfully dodges BlueHeroine and jumps toward the highest point of the rusted tower.

"Oh, my... Is wifey getting annoyed because her alone time with her husband is getting reduced?"

"Please don't call us like that in front of her, SilverPup. Or I might get beat up in real life."

"What?... Tell everything that happened, Lucent!"

"Stop getting excited like our life is some kind of entertainment, PoodlePup!"

It only took a day for Eve to move into Luel's house.

All of her stuff had already been prepared and was already waiting to be delivered by a mover service at her call.

The following day the delivery truck arrived at Luel's house. And to not cause another misunderstanding like when Amy started living at Luel's house, Luel and Amy walk around their neighborhood spreading the news that a friend of Amy is living at their house, taking a vacation.

But still, Luel keeps it a secret from their neighborhood and even from his other relatives about Amy and Eve's identity as an ex-Idol and ex-Actress.

...Is the glass disguise effect really that effective?...

Or so Luel thought, still wondering why no one had recognized Amy for the past two months that they had been together, and Eve, who had just recently appeared at a famous movie and show. Except for Rammie and her twins, of course.

"She's the Magical Girl!"

"Mhm!... The Super Sister!"

"Hey! What is the actress Eve doing at your house, Luel?"

"I'm gonna explain everything, so please stop strangling me, Rammie."

Just like Eve said, she indeed started playing RAIDS ONLINE so she could spend more time with Amy in both real life and virtual reality, living twice the time that she could be with her beautiful goddess.

Eve doesn't own a RAIDS ONLINE VR GEAR. But luckily, old man Trov, the owner of the only convenience store in their neighborhood, is selling one at his store.

With all those convenient coincidences, Eve was able to start playing RAIDS ONLINE the following night.

.

.

.

"You said she's naturally strong in real life?"

"It's more like she has superhuman strength."

"Her kick almost broke both of my arms."

"Then I guess her avatar would be a Devour Alpha Class."

In theory, the avatar creation within RAIDS ONLINE is not entirely random.

Just as SilverPup said, a person who is naturally strong in real life usually ends up in the Devour White Beast Alpha Class that has the most destructive strength.

Someone with good coordination and reflexes as a dancer and performer like Amy, usually ends up in the Devour Vermilion Beast Aurora Class, which requires precise movements.

SilverPup, with great leadership skills, and Luel, who's a jack of all trades and can handle multiple tasks, usually end up in the Devour Moonlight Beast Orion Class with the most balanced abilities and skills.

A person with a sharp mind or, rather, good intuition usually ends up in the Devour Lightning Beast Saber, which requires quick thinking and instinctive movement with attacks that are as fast as lightning.

Players with calm and composed personalities usually end up in the Devour Azure Beast Asherah, which requires the most concentration to manipulate the Water Element into their will.

Last are players who are said to have the strongest will in life, those with a burning passion for the things or people they love. They usually end up in the Devour Nine-tailed Beast Fiamma, which represents the blaze of their flame equal to their desire.

Hearing the last part of SilverPup's lecture, Luel and Amy got a premonition that Eve's Devour Beast Class would end up being different than what they were expecting.

.

.

.

"Your friend is surely taking her time. You didn't forget to tell her our location, right BlueB*?"

"I properly explain it to her, so stop your barking, PoodlePup."

"She's just probably got absorbed in making her avatar. Everyone is like that at the start, right?"

BlueHeroine and SilverPup can say anything against Luel's remark as they look away trying to hide their blushing face due to embarrassment. After all, even they are guilty of spending hours when they create their avatar.

After another hour of waiting a pillar of light beam down from the moon at the night sky towards the ground, in front of the rusted tower where the Guardian Beast team is waiting at the top.

When Luel, BlueHeroine, and SilverPup look down to see the player who has arrived, what they saw was a girl with a Half-Beast avatar of gold blonde hair, fox ears, and a tail.

A player with a Devour Nine-tailed Beast Fiamma Class.

...Those with a burning passion for the things or people they love...

That definitely fits her description. Or so Luel thought while looking at Eve.

.

[Devour Player EeveE]

"Amy!..."

As BlueHeroine came down first from the top of the rusted tower using her ability to fly with her elegant blue wings, EeveE came running towards her for an embrace.

"It's rude to call someone else's real name in the game. So call me BlueHeroine while we're within RAIDS ONLINE, EeveE."

"I will follow whatever you say, my beautiful BlueGoddess."

"And don't hug like you're strangling me."

When Luel and SilverPup made it down from the top of the rusted tower, BlueHeroine finally managed to convince EeveE to stop embracing her. But when EeveE saw Luel, she immediately went back to embracing BlueHeroine, like a child who doesn't want to share her favorite doll with other children.

"Pfft!... So that's the problem, Lucent... Hahaha!..."

SilverPup immediately understood the relationship between Luel, BlueHeroine, and EeveE.

It's not a love triangle with Luel at the center but, rather, BlueHeroine. Or so SilverPup thought while she is bursting out laughing.

"And who are you? Another scumbag who's after my BlueGoddess?"

EeveE directed her question to SilverPup, who was still squirming on the ground, enduring the pain of laughing out so much.

"Pfft!... Goddess?... You can have that B*tch for all you wanted... Hahaha!..."

...BAMMM!...

"What did you faqing say!..."

The ground beneath EeveE shattered as she stomped her right foot to express her anger to SilverPup, insulting BlueHeroine.

"The heck? Are you really a Devour Fiamma Class? Not a Devour Alpha Class?"

In terms of other games, the Devour Fiamma Class can be considered a magic user. So shattering the ground in a single kick is not something EeveE should be capable.

However, since EeveE is naturally strong in real life. Her superhuman strength was further enhanced within the RAIDS ONLINE as the basis of her avatar's status, making her avatar as strong as players in the Devour Alpha Class.

"That's almost like cheating."

"Who are you calling a cheater, you weakling Lucent!"

While BlueHeroine is restraining EeveE, who's obviously not resisting but just enjoying the feel of BlueHeroine's embrace, the Guardian Beast team begins the discussion for their meeting now that their newest member has finally joined their team.

"For the start, can you tell us about your starting Link Force, YuriB*."

"Who are you calling Yuri?..."

"Just tell us already, EeveE."

Thanks to BlueHeroine calming her down, EeveE at least managed to hold back her annoyance not only to Luel but to SilverPup as well.

While still under BlueHeroine's embrace, EeveE opens the status screen of her avatar and shows it to everyone else.

"Link Force?... It says 57 percent."

...EHH???...

"What?"

...Hurry up and log out right now!!!...
