RAIDS ONLINE: RAGNAROK BEAST

BlueHeroine arrived at the site of SilverPup's Raid with the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus on the chase.

It's not like BlueHeroine didn't think of changing direction when she saw the ongoing Raid of hundreds of players against the swarm of Rank C Ragnarok Beasts.

But even if she wanted to, Icarus was just right behind her back. If she lowers her speed or changes direction, the distance between her and Icarus will shorten, and the Rank B Ragnarok Beast will surely catch up to her.

That's why even though BlueHeroine knows that her action would result in interfering with the Raid currently happening at the center of the open desert, she still chooses to fly towards that direction with the thought that she could also use the other players as a distraction for Icarus while she's healing herself with her Radiance Skill.

"What are you doing here, BlueB*?!..."

"I don't have time to play fetch with you PoodlePup. Leave this place if you don't want to get burned by that freaking bird!"

"You're the one who's uninvited here, BlueB*! So take your stalker and leave this place!"

While SilverPup and BlueHeroine are throwing insults at each other, Icarus finally arrives, hovering above the gathering of all the players.

Icarus spread its wings and flew higher into the night sky.

...SCREECHHHH!!!...

With its scream, as if to signal the start of the fight, Icarus dives from the night sky towards the ground where all the players and other Ragnarok Beasts are.

Icarus ignited its wings and set its whole body in flame. At the moment it landed on the ground with destructive impact, the flame covering its body spread into the ground like a surge wave that swallowed and burned not only the players but other Ragnarok Beasts as well.

It was Icarus's famous ground dive attack, the Rank B Ragnarok Beast signature move.

All the players who have witnessed Icarus diving from the night sky know what is about to happen. But still, even if they wanted to evade the incoming attack, there was no place in the open desert to hide from Icarus's flame.

Only those players who belong to the Fiamma Devour Beast Class, Asherah Devour Beast Class, and Aurora Devour Beast Class have the Skill to defend against Icarus's flame. The other players can only depend on their companions. Not that those companions were able to defend themselves.

Aside from the fact that all the players who have gathered for the Raid only have an average Link Force of 40 percent which is not enough to challenge a Rank B Ragnarok Beast, all of them are already tired, and the power of Devour Beast inside of their avatars was already drained with the fight against the swarm of Rank C Ragnarok Beasts.

The hundreds of players were left with no choice but to accept defeat along with the pain of getting burned by Icarus's flame.

"This is all your fault, BlueB*!"

"I know, you don't have to keep saying it, PoodlePup."

BlueHeroine tried to protect as many players, including SilverPup, with her Morph Skill, but she was only able to save a dozen players.

"What are you planning to do now, BlueB*?"

"What do you I'm fighting that freaking bird for?... I'm going to defeat and devour the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus."

BlueHeroine was able to completely heal herself. Since BlueHeroine's Link Force is at 65 percent, she still has enough power from her Devour Beast Aurora to continue fighting Icarus.

With Icarus continuing to accumulate damage and injuries during BlueHeroine's hit-and-run escape, the Rank B Ragnarok Beast has been weakening as well.

Just a little more push and BlueHeroine would be able to defeat the high-ranking Ragnarok Beast that hunted and killed her so many times in RAIDS ONLINE. She would be able to achieve her goal and find the answer to the vision she keeps on seeing in her dream after breaking through the 50 percent Link Force boundary.

If BlueHeroine could defeat the Rank B Ragnarok Beast, then she would be able to dream past her nightmare.

However, as if to crush all of her efforts that she put through in playing RAIDS ONLINE for more than a year, the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus did something that BlueHeroine, not even SilverPup, had thought to be possible.

...SCREECHHHH!...

"Hey... You're seeing what I'm seeing. Right, BlueB*?..."

"YOU, FAQING BIRD!!!..."

SilverPup was left in awe, staring at Icarus, while BlueHeroine screamed in anger and frustration.

Of course, she would. After all, the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus just healed itself by absorbing all the dark aura coming out of all the Ragnarok Beasts it had burned along with the Link Force of all the players it had killed.

All of BlueHeroine's efforts have been crushed. As if to continue mocking BlueHeroine for her failure, Icarus proceeded with its next attack with enough power to burn anything in its surroundings.

...SCREECHHHH!!!...

Icarus didn't need to fly into the night sky and dive. It just spread its flaming wings and ignited its body. At the next moment, Icarus's flame expanded like a spherical flame that turned everything into a cinder.

"Don't you dare run away, BlueB*!"

"Radiance x Aurora's Light - Halo!"

BlueHeroine stands firm on the ground. She spread her elegant blue wings so she wouldn't be pushed back. With the activation of her Halo Skill, BlueHeroine released a vermilion halo of light that expanded to intercept Icarus's spherical flame.

...BOOMMM!...

BlueHeroine stands her ground, and SilverPup even helps as she supports her back.

But in the end, the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus overwhelmed SilverPup and BlueHeroine with all the dark aura and Link Force it had absorbed.

It's already dawn when Luel finished watching the videos of SilverPup's Raid and BlueHeroine's fight against the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus.

Luel didn't even sleep a wink yet he doesn't feel tired. After all, he's still feeling excited at the slightest thought that his beloved Idol Amy is at his house spending the night.

However, that is not what is on Luel's mind right now. And the thought of wishing that the bus service never becomes operational again so that Amy wouldn't have a way back to the Central City and spend more days and nights at his house is not on Luel's mind either. Definitely not.

What Luel is thinking is why Amy, or rather BlueHeroine, didn't ask for help from other players like SilverPup.

If BlueHeroine and SilverPup had worked together from the start, then the two would have defeated and devoured the Rank B Ragnarok Beast Icarus a long time ago.
