Song Wen looks at Ah Zhao with confusion: “Home, homework?”
Gu Cheng remains silent.
Ah Zhao suddenly has a bad feeling: “You guys haven’t done your homework, have you?”
Song Wen curls up into a ball.
Actually, he usually isn’t as timid but he doesn’t know why it is that whenever he looks into the clear eyes of his new deskmate, he feels a bit shy.
For example, he never feels ashamed in front of his teachers whenever he doesn’t finish his homework but this time, a rare sense of shame creeps upon him.
Ah Zhao looks at him then at Gu Cheng: “Gu Cheng?”
She calls the male lead for his confirmation.
Gu Cheng coughs: “I forgot about it.”
He is so direct and calm which doesn’t convince Ah Zhao that he forgot it unintentionally.
She takes two deep breaths, her bun-like cheeks chubby because of anger.
“You two!” She points at Gu Cheng then at Song Wen: “You’ve broken your promise!”
Gu Cheng is amused by how she looks and wants to poke her chubby face.
He lowers his eyes. Holding back his fingers that are ready to make trouble, he says carelessly: “Well, well. I forgot it yesterday and I’ll finish it today.”
His attitude fuels up Ah Zhao’s anger.
“I’m angry.” She puts stress on her word.
Gu Cheng glances at her with interest: “So?”
The little bunny is angry and becomes a bunny out of control.
I bed she does not know how not intimidating she is. Gu Cheng thinks to himself.
Ah Zhao snorts: “I’ll forgive you guys if you finish yesterday’s homework first and complete a test paper in the afternoon.”
Song Wen focuses on his meal, pretending not to hear anything.
Gu Cheng refuses her without any expression. How will he hold up his dignity as the school bully if he obeys her instructions?
Ah Zhao’s eyes are red with anger because of their reaction: “You, you…”
She’s close to tears, due to anger.
Gu Cheng’s heart sinks seeing her like that. He is about to agree to her terms when Ah Zhao suddenly reaches out her hand and hits his desk:
“You guys go too far!”
Her voice is a bit loud which attracts the attention of those students who are back in the classroom.
Then.
With a loud bang, they see clearly that Gu Cheng’s desk is smashed to pieces under Ah Zhao’s hand before it shakes from side to side for a second.
Gu Cheng: “…”
Classmates: “…”
Ah Zhao: “…” Crap! Forgot to control my strength!
Song Wen is still eating when this happened. Seeing that, he’s choked by a piece meat with his hands on his neck and nearly passes out.
Right at that moment, the sharp-eyed and deft-handed Ah Zhao gives him a bottle of water.
Song Wen gulps down half a bottle of water and finally swallows that piece of meat.
He doesn’t care about his food any more and throws the bottle away. He’s one step away from kneeling down in front of Ah Zhao:
“Boss, sister, Sister Tang! Are you talking about doing the homework? I’ll, I’ll do it right now! Please show me some mercy!”
Ah Zhao: “…”
She looks at Song Wen with mixed feelings: “I can explain about the desk…”
“There’s no need for that!”
Song Wen looks very sincere: “From now on I’ll follow your ever instruction. If you ask me to go east, I won’t go west. I’ll do my homework now!”
Ah Zhao has no choice but to turn to Gu Cheng: “About this desk…”
Gu Cheng’s expression is more complicated than hers: “I’ll get another desk from the classroom next door. You mean homework, right? What’s yesterday’s homework?”
