###
The room was filled with a heavy silence as Minjin and her mother sat side by side.
The death of their father was a gaping void that seemed impossible to fill. Minjin's mind was a storm of confusion and sorrow, trying to reconcile the events of the past few hours with the reality of their new, bleak world. Park Tae-sung's face was etched with worry and fatigue. The gravity of the situation was evident in his demeanor, but there was also a fierce determination in his eyes. He had rushed from Seoul, his heart heavy with concern for his younger sister and frustration towards their mother.
As he approached, the tension in the room grew palpable. Minjin and her mother looked up, the former with hope and dread, the latter with a sense of impending confrontation. Tae-sung's expression hardened as he looked at their mother, the pain of their father's death fueling his anger.
"You did this," Tae-sung said, his voice sharp and accusing. "You killed him."
Their mother flinched, her face a mask of anguish and guilt. "Tae-sung, please—"
"No," Tae-sung interrupted, his voice rising. "You can't just act like this is something that can be brushed aside. You were the one having an affair, hiding things from him. He confronted you, and you broke him. He was under so much stress, and you—"
"Stop it! "Minjin cried out, her voice trembling. She was caught between her grief and the intense emotions that her brother and mother were unleashing. "This isn't helping."
Tae-sung's gaze softened slightly as he looked at Minjin, but his anger remained. "Minjin-ah, you don't understand. Eomma's actions didn't just hurt appa—they put all of us in this terrible position. She's been irresponsible, and we can't just ignore it."
Minjin's mother, tears streaming down her face, tried to defend herself. "I didn't mean for any of this to happen. I know I made mistakes, but I never wanted—"
"Enough," Tae-sung said, his voice cutting through the chaos. "I can't stay here and watch this. I'm taking Minjin back to Seoul with me. Come on, Minjin-ah," Tae-sung said, his voice softening as he extended a hand to his sister."
Minjin looked at her mother one last time. With a heavy heart, Minjin took her eldest brother's hand.
