[QT.BL] Phoenix Interrupted

Chapter 48: New Year's Eve 2024 Update

Hello to all my lovely phoenix-dragons (my wonderful readers). It has been a very long time since I have last updated this novel. I have not given up on it. Life has been difficult to say the least. We got a devastating diagnosis for our youngest child who just turned 11 back at the end of September. Due to this any everything else I have shared with yall in the past I decided it was more important to spend as much time as I could with my baby girl. The few times I tried to write I could not get in the right head space because, quite honestly, I was battling with my inner demons and the constant thoughts that I was going to end up having to outlive another one of my children. My daughter is doing a little better now that she is getting the help that she needs. We have been seeing specialist at our state's children's hospital along with the ones her primary doctor referred her too. I am currently working on an update, but it will be short as I just want to get something out there since I lost everything on my novel including all the many notes and rough drafts, I worked 2 years on. I understand if no one wants to read this novel anymore. As a reader I would struggle with the decision on to continue to support/read it. But thankfully it is completely free to read so feel free to come back read it whenever or even never. I want to sincerely thank the few loyal readers I have had up until this point. I wish everyone a very Happy and Safe New Year that is filled with blessings and good times.

This is also a polite reminder that the people who smile, laugh and shine the brightest are typically the ones that are secretly hurting the worse and drowning in their own pain and despair but still don't want to bring others down with them. It is completely plausible to be in a room filled with people and them all vying for your attention and yet you remain completely lonely. A simple act of kindness, even a simple simile can have a positive impact on others and can even be what someone needs the most in the moment where they have decided to give up and end their suffering.

I am blessed and lucky enough to live in a country where mental health and wellbeing is important and the stigma of mental health disorders and therapy are gone for the most part and it is highly encouraged to get help, and we are educated on mental health wellness and what not. I know this is not the case for all countries. If you are in a place where you are struggling with depression or another mental health disorder know that you are not alone, you are in fact loved even if you never truly know it. There are good people in this world and no matter how bleak it all appears there is a light at the end of this long and tormenting tunnel. You are enough, you're you matter, and you are needed in this world no matter what anyone or anything tells you.

Sincerely,

Tiff, Mrs. TNT
