Protoganist's Sidekick Fights Back

Bai yunxi is lost in her thoughts. Su Kang spoke again observing her face.

" I have one last favour to ask of you. I hope you will agree with it."

Bai yunxi came out of her thoughts. She looked at his face. He was looking at her with pleading expression. They stared at each other but he didn't remove his eyes from her face. She became very fidgety.

"What favour? Can you tell me?"

" I want one chance to pursue that woman. But I don't know what to do. Can you pretend to be that woman for me? Your situation is similar to that woman. " He said.

" This ...is not appropriate. How can I do something like this?" She refused.

" I have a feeling that I will be rejected. That's why I need to be prepared. Just one week is enough for me." He eyes didn't left her face.

She is avoiding his eyes. She didn't dare to look at him. But after hearing this, she looked at face.

Both of them are looking at each other face. His face is filled with sadness and pleading look meanwhile her face is filled with confused and indecisive look.

She knew that everything was out in the open. He also knew that she understood it as well and he is gonna rejected by her. She also understand that he already knows her intention.

" One week is enough for me to prepare after that I will let her know my intention. Then even if she rejected me, I am fine with it." He plead again.

She thought about it. He is just going to pursue her for one week. He has done so much for her, atleast she can grant him this favour.

" Okay, I will pretend to be that woman for only one week." She said while looking at his face.

His expression lit up. He smiled happily and thanked her.

" Thank you, One week is enough for me. So from tomorrow morning you have to pretend be woman whom I'm going to pursue."

Bai yunxi agreed with it and she left immediately. She didn't want to eat together after this conversation.

She returned to her mansion. But this time gaze of servants didn't bother her. Her mind was occupied with various thoughts. She directly went to her bed without dinner.

She is very troubled in her heart. If she was a young girl then she might be very happy. But she is mother of Li Fang. She always thinks about her son before herself. After Li family started facing setbacks her parents also faced many threats. Bai family wasn't from Qin city, her parents were working in there.

As Li Xiao's wife she was forced to face his enemies hatred. Her parents weren't spared off. They disappeared when they went to attend a guild meeting about Trade and commerce.

She has to protect Li Fang by herself. Bai family was weak compared to Li family so she can't even think about remarriage. As a widow with a child it was hard to marry into a influencial family but there were many who were still infatuated with her.

But even then nobody was ready to welcome her with Li Fang. Li Fang is son of Li Xiao's and they were afraid to give him protection. In the end she could only rely on herself to protect her son.

She didn't has any dreams about her future. Her heart is lost. Her life is colourless. She is not comfortable with relaxed environment in the Su manor. This is like a dream for her. But deep down she is still thinking about her son.

After he joined Qingyun sect then she was relieved. She knew that he was more safe in the sect. But then she started to hearing about her son's achievement, before she could even enjoy that moment, his fights with various people reached her ear.

Her son was like her husband, he keep making enemies in his rise. Her heart became more and more worried. Although her son always came out victorious but her heart was always in turmoil.

Now that she knows that Su Kang helped her son for her, she is deeply touched by this. But she feels inferior to him. Her background is nothing compared to him. He is young, handsome and talented but she is a old widow who has given birth, a weak Qi refining cultivator and she might bring him disaster and shame with her.

Bai yunxi mind was filled with many inexplicable thoughts. She could hardly sleep at all. Tired by her thoughts she managed to fell asleep before the morning came.

Su Kang visited her mansion in the early morning. He used his divine sense( spiritual consciousness) to scan her mansion. He found her in the bedroom. He directly came to her bedroom and dismissed all the maids near them.

She is still sleeping. He went to her bed and sat down near her. Her face is still filled with troubled look. His eyes became complicated.

He started all this for the power of destiny but he is not heartless. He really did not want to cause her any suffering. He could get her body with illusion and mind manipulation but he did not want to such methods.

Moreover after spending so much time with her and observing her expression, he really likes her. He is tired to look at how she is used to supress her desires. She did not even bought the jewelleries that she liked.

" Is her parents really dead, if they died then tell me about their remainings."

Su Kang thought about it. He will have to go back to Qingyun sect for this. Su family did not have such masters who are proficient in the divination. He can't wait do this.

Su Kang has only one week he can't waste time traveling to Qingyun sect.

A few seconds later, Su Kang felt his soul trembling. After few seconds later, Fate said.

" Her father is died. Only bones of his left hand has preserved. He was eaten by beasts but her mother is alive now."

After hearing this Su is surprised and happy. He thought even finding their remains will be enough but unexpectedly her mother is alive.

Then he asked about their whereabouts. After finding their location, he realised it will take him 7 days to go her mother's location himself.

" How much power of destiny I have right now?"

" 7000 in numbers. You have lost around 1000 in numbers. It's way more than average Divination cultivator will have to spent for two qi cultivators."

Su Kang knew he suffered a loss. He was supposed to gain more powers with the help of Fate but he already lost 1000 in numbers just now.

" Well sometimes you have to lost something in the process to be the ultimate winner" he muttered.

Su Kang then put his hand on Bai yunxi's forehead and sent his Qi. She went into deep sleep. Then he used his powers to lift her up. Then he left with her mansion.

He took out his third level flight artifact. This exquisite level treasure is not big enough for two people but he has to use it now. This boat is small compared to previous one but it is a lot faster than that.

He went into the boat with small cabin. He brought a small bed with him and put it inside the cabin then placed Bai yunxi on it. Then left after sending message to Su manor.
