Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law

Chapter 259 Maternal Instinct Never Dies (1)_1

The Flower Sea in front of the hotel still lay there; it was the focus of everyone's attention tonight at the God Emperor Hotel, always drawing innumerable people to gather around. Countless individuals took out their phones to capture this romantic moment, and even if the romance didn't belong to them, they were still touched by it.

When Glades Horne left the hotel and saw that large expanse of flowers, a hint of tenderness once again flickered in his unfathomable eyes. He bowed his head, looking at Julia Bluen snuggled in his arms, quiet as an angel, and asked softly, "Do you still want these flowers?"

Julia Bluen blinked, her eyes glassy, her red, luscious lips slightly parted with reluctance. "That's the purest expression of your heart you've given me; how could I not want them?" But alas, there were so many flowers, and the original display had been such a spectacle, with people involved in the formation itself! Surely they couldn't have everyone follow them home to recreate that 'people-and-flowers' tableau, could they?

"Alright."

Glades Horne's heart grew even softer. This was his love for her, and seeing how she cherished it so, how much she liked it, he naturally felt even happier.

After he carried Julia Bluen into the car, he took out his phone and made a call to have the Flower Sea transported back to the Horne Family's grand villa. To replicate those six characters, using only roses to spell them out in the villa's Courtyard would suffice; people would no longer be needed.

After giving the instructions, he made another call, this time to Wade Coleman, instructing him to arrive at the Emperor hotel as quickly as possible. As he had also been drinking, he didn't want to drive under the influence and had therefore called Wade Coleman to act as his driver.

By the time they got back to the Horne Family's grand villa, it was almost ten o'clock.

The Horne family members, aside from the old lady and Adele Horne—who had a guilty conscience and had snuck back home—were not around. Even Mila Anderson had not yet returned from playing cards at someone else's home.

Glades Horne didn't disturb anyone; he simply carried Julia Bluen out of the car himself.

However, that vast sea of roses still astonished all the servants.

Seeing the love expressed through the roses, all the servants were awestruck.

"If I could meet a peerless good man like the Young Master, it would make dying worthwhile," said one of the younger servants enviously.

"Indeed."

The other maids nodded in agreement.

Unfortunately, a peerless good man like their Young Master wasn't someone just anyone could encounter.

In truth, when any man truly falls in love with a woman, he too becomes a peerless good man; it's just that everyone expresses their love differently.

「Back in their room」

Glades Horne once again took on the role of a peerless good man. He helped Julia Bluen take a hot bath before letting her sleep comfortably.

When she woke, her eyes fell upon a set of clothes laid out on the bedside table. They were the clothes Glades Horne had prepared for her before he left the room.

"Oh, that man..." Julia Bluen murmured with a soft chuckle, her heart filled with warmth. After dressing neatly and washing her face, she left the room.

When she went downstairs, she saw a few women—three, to be precise. There was the old lady with a teasing smile, Adele Horne glaring at her with jealous resentment, and Mila Anderson with a detached expression that seemed profound and inscrutable.

Her mother-in-law and sister-in-law were already up; that meant it was quite late.

Julia Bluen discreetly checked the time. She was astonished to find it was already past noon! Good heavens! she thought, breaking out in a metaphorical cold sweat. She had actually slept in this late! And Glades Horne hadn't even woken her!

"Mom, you always say I sleep until the sun is high in the sky and still don't get up. Look, someone gets up even later than I do! The sun must be ten poles high by now, right?" Adele Horne said in a sarcastic tone as soon as she saw Julia Bluen coming downstairs, directing her barb straight at her.

"Adele, there's a magnificent Flower Sea outside, absolutely beautiful. Go take a look. In the future, when you're looking for a boyfriend, you should find someone willing to put in that kind of effort for you," the old lady chuckled, promptly shooing Adele Horne—who was always finding fault with Julia Bluen no matter what—out into the Courtyard.

"What Flower Sea? At this hour, most of the flowers in the Courtyard would have withered already," Adele Horne retorted. She was unaware of the vast Flower Sea arranged in the Courtyard, as she had, in fact, also just woken up.

"Heh, go take a look and you'll see. Come on, Grandma will go with you," the old lady said, standing up and firmly pulling Adele Horne out of the main hall.

Now, only Mila Anderson and Julia Bluen, the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law pair, were left in the Main House.

"You must be hungry. Go on in and eat. Aunt May had the food heated and reheated for you," Mila Anderson said coolly.
