Progenitor Vampire: I Have Many Skills!

Chapter 617: New Mandate of the Richter Kingdom (2)

Some time later, with evidence and so on, Matthew seemed to have convinced the entire population that exterminating these traitors was necessary to avoid further damage.

"The world is changing, as everyone can see. The sudden appearance of people more powerful than the Vampire Leaders has caused the latter to bow down to them. Even the World Central City is now in the hands of these people. Therefore, those who adapt will succeed. Those who do not will, unfortunately, perish."

"I decided to adapt to the change, so I moved to destroy the traitors. While they, too, seek to adapt, in the pursuit of it, those who stray from the path can only die."

Having finished all his words, he proceeded to get to the main topic.

"Finally, I will say that your kingdom will, from now on, form part of my territories. It will not be as you thought; it will not form part of the Dark Kingdom nor be administered by them. From now on, although the kingdom will continue to have the same name to honor your ancestors, the administration will be clearly directed by a single ruler."

He turned, walked towards all his wives standing behind him, and pointed towards Emma.

"Let me introduce your new leader, Emma Lewis. Formerly known as the Princess of the Dark Kingdom, or a woman of high status in the army fighting against humans. I think many of you have heard of her at least once. From today onwards, she will be your new Queen, occupying a position that only she will have."

Finally, Emma stepped forward, and several people came from the side to put on the Queen's costume and crown, as well as a royal staff and other important ornaments for her reign, such as the Royal Seal Ring.

In a matter of seconds, she was dressed in everything she needed and walked over to stand next to Matthew.

He finally smiled.

"I hope many of you can support her, in the same way that I will. Remember that a government change does not mean a kingdom's decline. Often it is what it needed to become a great empire."

With that, Matthew stepped aside for Emma to speak.

"I don't have much to say. I will search for the traitors even if it means going under the rocks, because they want us to die out, but I will watch over the welfare of the entire population and the interests of the kingdom. My new policies and all the changes that the administration is going to make will be announced in two hours' time, in an official communiqué that I will send to every city in the kingdom. That's all."

As soon as she had finished speaking, the transmission was cut off.

Immediately, the Dark Kingdom and Richter's Kingdom went into a frenzy of murmuring. Many were in shock, many others were celebrating, and some were still cursing.

As the two kingdoms engaged in heated discussions, various additional news items began to emerge—basic stuff just to keep the civilian population happy.

For example, murders in the Dark Kingdom have decreased dramatically since Matthew became Lord of the Kingdom, salaries have increased, and even jobs are now easier and better.

Finally, the Dark Kingdom seemed to start launching different cutting-edge devices that would help everyone, with new companies coming out in the last few months. They all appeared under the names of three figures: Clan Allen, Clan Murphy, and Matthew Dietrich.

It was so surprising and happened in such a short space of time that it momentarily overshadowed the news of Clan Becker's fall.

And within two hours of the end of Matthew and Emma's live broadcast, all the cities began to undergo reforms, while some powerful people knocked on the doors of the leaders of each city.

In addition to the good news that came out during those two hours and the fact that the reforms were amazing, practically everyone agreed to abide by them.

Although there would surely be more complications in the future, for a moment, the Kingdom of Richter seemed united in its acceptance of the new mandate. Not that there was anything else they could do, anyway.

The people who might have thought of rebelling had already been eradicated, and although many powerful people were still left in the Kingdom of Richter, they were not traitors.

In this way, the Kingdom of Richter fell into Matthew's hands with terrifying ease.

But it was only just beginning.

.

Several days later, while the Kingdom of Richter calmed down, Matthew spent his days investigating various things, while the girls gathered numerous things from each of the destroyed churches.

They needed more information about how the curses were used, and there was a lot of that in those churches.

So much so that when Matthew stopped investigating the bodies and came out, the girls had several complete books of pure research ready for him.

"It looks like you did a great job," he said, smiling at Isla, the only one who was here at the moment.

Isla got up and smiled at him.

"We already had most of this, what we did was supplement it with the rest of the books in those places. But I must say that these guys are real bastards."

"Why do you say that?"

"They've been sacrificing children everywhere for years. In fact, these churches didn't appear recently, they've been around for thousands or hundreds of thousands of years."

Matthew nodded in agreement; he knew it.

"That's why the Allens have been fighting them for so long." He began to browse through all the books, while Isla, at his side, commented on various things.

"The curses have been altered at the root, eh. What a problem the skill of those bastards is."

"Is it the Hills?"

"Yes, only they can modify the skills we created to such an extent. But they haven't done a bad job; they've made them more versatile. It's just that now there are too many forbidden skills."

"Should we ban their use?"

Matthew smiled at that naive question.

"Did your naive self beat your 10-million-year-old self, Isla? Of course not. They use forbidden tactics to kill us, so why cling so tightly to morality, to defend ourselves? They attack us, and we are at a disadvantage, so we should use these abilities to our advantage," he said, smiling gently and with malice.

Isla was surprised by his words, but they made some sense. Even so, that seemed to worry her, something Matthew noticed.

"Don't worry, we won't overdo it. I have a wonderful idea."

Isla looked at him, suspicious of his strange smile. "What do you have in mind, Matt?"

He smiled even more, then: "You'll find out soon enough."
