Chapter 524: Ead Richson (2)
His constant repetition of those words did not leave a good taste in Ead's mouth. People as powerful as him shouldn't be so easy when it comes to doing things.
And if a person from a Vampire Clan wanted to do business with the mobs, what kind of business would he want to do? A business with the mask of slavery?
The pressure Matthew put on Ead's shoulders at this point annoyed him, but in the end, he didn't say anything.
He grabbed the paper Matthew was handing him and read it.
The paper didn't say much but mentioned astronomical amounts of money for doing 'business'. When he finished reading, he knew more or less what Matthew wanted to do, but he didn't answer until 2 minutes later when he finally spoke.
"Mr. Matthew, despite knowing that there is a great alliance taking place right now and that, in addition to power, they have weapons and a great deal of money, do you want to know why I still think they will lose?"
"Well, I'm curious about your way of thinking, Mr. Ead. But, honestly, I don't care; they are bound to fail one way or another. At the end of the day, even if you have a few powerful people, your greatest fighting power is based on weapons; I guess you have some special weapons out there, don't you? But, they're no good, Mr. Ead."
Ead Richson smiled, "Haha, maybe, Mr. Matthew. But they are destined to fail because they can never know what the full power of my organization is. Mr. Matthew, coming here without people to protect you is not a viable option. But since you came here, why don't you give me the territory on your own?"
Suddenly, Ead Richson stood up. As his words came to an end, a large number of windows opened around the place. From each window, two people leaned out, pointing different types of weapons, which appeared to be firearms, towards Matthew and Ava.
There were over 100 people, all pointing their guns at Matthew's head or some part of his body, a few aimed at Ava.
Just then, Ead Richson pulled out a strange little device and placed it on the table, his big finger on his right hand resting on one of the buttons.
"These are special weapons, as you have surmised, Mr. Matthew. But these are special weapons, different and deadly. I wonder if you know their names." Ead smiled.
Matthew and Ava were still sitting, though Ava was in shock, looking at that pile of weapons. She recognized them; she had once seen them in the Human Empire.
And although Matthew had never seen them before, he quickly figured out what they were.
After looking at them for a moment, he turned his gaze to Ead.
"Although I don't know the name, I can understand what they do. Although they look like firearms, what they fire are powerful compressed magics. I'm afraid the rate of fire is even higher than the speed of a normal fire bullet."
Ead nodded. "They are a perfect weapon to counter powerful people." He said, then pulled out his own and pointed it at Matthew's head. "You'll be surprised to know that these weapons can kill people over 100,000 Power."
"That makes it more interesting, Mr. Ead. I insist you still have a chance to grab that little piece of paper and do business with me. Failure to do so could cost you dearly."
Ead Richson frowned, staring at Matthew. Even he understood that what he was doing was a long shot, but...
He shifted his gun slightly and suddenly pulled the trigger.
A soft sound rang out as various inscriptions activated inside the gun, and a strange but powerful fireball shot out.
The strange magic crossed distances in a moment and reached Matthew's location easily but crossed to the other side, hitting a table behind.
The shot didn't stop for that table; it passed through, ignited it, and then hit the ground behind it, igniting a flame that shortly after went out.
It was a strange way to use magic, which made Matthew's red eyes glow. 'Incredible speed. If I could add this to our item, the Magic Vampire Squad would be immensely more powerful.'
Despite the situation, Matthew still maintained a calm posture and stared at Ead Richson, his expression unmoved despite the gunshot because it was no big deal.
Besides, Ead Richson is important in his plans. Matthew desires the knowledge, power, and status that man holds in this place's underworld. Although he doesn't really want to have it because it is useless to him, he simply wants to use it.
If Ead Richson can control the underworld and, in turn, be controlled by Matthew, then plans will go much better. His idea of coming here was just that.
That's why he didn't know how to answer Ava's question about whether they were here to join them or kill them. Given the situation, he will have to kill, although he doesn't know how strong these guys are either, so he has to be on his toes.
Still, he wants to develop his territory, and with the help of the mafias, this can be done in the best way. Besides, nobody knows that he came here, so nobody will know anything until his territory is developed; then, it will be too late for them to react.
So this 'cooperation' must happen no matter what.
"Being shot by a gun is something I've never passed up, Mr. Ead. But these guns are tempting to my plans." Matthew stood up suddenly. "I'll give you one last chance to reconsider that cooperation. Everything described there must be signed, and you must agree to what I say. If not..."
He shrugged his shoulders.
"Cooperation will happen no matter what, just under different rules."
The moment Matthew stopped speaking, four shots rang out from different directions and flew at high speed in the direction of... Find your next adventure on empire
Ava.
Suddenly, from the four shots, fire blazed, ice and ice stakes flew back and forth, and the junction between two types of magic became a huge icy smoke screen.
Ead Richson took a step back and raised his hand, pointing to where Matthew stood.
"Mr. Matthew, this was a warning, nothing more." He spoke coldly.
Soon the icy smoke began to disperse, and the woman they expected to see wounded had barely and barely fluffed her hair. Matthew's hand had moved at great speed to stop each of the shots. His previous smiling face gradually gained an extreme coldness.
His red eyes glowed a little and made Ava stand up at the sight of everyone.
"You are a killer; show me your courage. The four who shot you, you can kill them. They are small fry; act according to your wishes." Matthew said softly.
Then he looked at Ead Richson.
