Primordial Villain With A Slave Harem

Chapter 663: Lazy Monster

<Just how old is she?> Aurora asked with confusion.

<Once foxkin with my class manage to grow all nine tails of theirs, they transcend the limits of their mortal body, achieving tremendous power as well as eternal youth…>

As if to validate her fellow Nine-Tailed Sorceress' words, Yoruha's form began changing.

"How dare you spy on us?!" Silver spat with fury. There must've been some bad blood between these two, at least from Silver's side. Yoruha for her part did not seem to give a single damn about his existence, she completely ignored his inquiry. Instead, I found myself being observed by two sharp eyes of the creature who was in the middle of transforming.

Midnight-black fur spread across her body as her limbs elongated, and her delicate humanoid features gave way to something far more primal, far more ancient.

Nine giant tails sprung to life behind her, each one being about as long as a tall man. Her eyes glowed with an unnatural luminance, it felt as if they saw through my existence. It was a very eerie and unpleasant experience.

In the next moment, her form settled into that of a colossal kitsune with midnight black fur coating her body. She stood at least three meters (9'8) tall, easily towering over everyone present besides Gorruk and his bearkin allies, but she was a match for even them.

I wasn't one to glaze, but she truly was majesty and terror, grace and lethality all in one package. For a brief moment, I couldn't help but wonder: was this her true body, the form she had unlocked upon attaining her ninth tail?

Kitsara said this creature gained eternal youth, it would make sense that her normal foxkin body would transform to accommodate the change. Before becoming a primordial, I also shed my mortal human body during my transmigration, hence my thinking Yoruha went through something similar to what I did.

I wasn't given time to dwell on this topic because she began transforming for a second time. Her massive frame shrank until the awe-inspiring beast was gone, replaced by a tiny black fox no larger than a house cat.

With fluid grace, the little creature leaped into my lap, settling down as if she belonged there. Before I could react, my gauntlets simply vanished, dematerialized by her magic as she nuzzled against my now-bare arm.

She sniffed. Licked. Then sniffed again.

"Hmm… I don't recognize this smell…" Yoruha muttered with puzzlement. She wasn't parting her lips to speak in this form of hers, magic must've assisted her with communication. Her voice was as smooth and detached as ever, as though she hadn't just demonstrated a level of power that set every instinct in my body on high alert.

"Can I help you with something, Lady Yoruha?" I asked, hoping she would get away from me as soon as possible.

"Hmm… You could tell me what you are, for starters…" It seemed this woman was incapable of speaking with a normal tone that wasn't slow and melancholic. I got the feeling she was a rather lazy woman.

As for her question… "I'm a human, of course. What else could I possibly be?"

Her little fox head turned in my direction and those luminous eyes of hers peered straight through me as if dissecting every layer of my existence. Then, with exaggerated slowness, she rolled her eyes. It was a gesture that somehow looked even more condescending coming from a tiny, otherworldly fox than if she did in her humanoid form. Clearly, she didn't believe my answer for a single second.

But, to my relief, she didn't press the matter. I didn't know if it was due to her understanding of my reluctance or simple disinterest, but she let the subject drop with nothing more than a soft hmm.

Instead, she let out a long yawn before she stretched her body in one fluid motion, with her numerous tails flicking lazily right in my face.

That being said her privates were not visible despite Yoruha more or less shoving her butt against my chest. Some magic of hers must've hidden those parts of her, for I could see nothing.

Yes, I did indeed check this tiny foxy out.

It was a perfectly normal thing to do, I had to satiate my curiosity.

Following her long and lazy yawn-stretch combo, she nestled deeper into my lap, curling into a circle.

With one final, contented sigh, she shut her eyes.

And just like that, she decided it was nap time.

"There's one more…" Vex muttered all of a sudden while glancing around the room, looking for something.

My awesome future wife had incredible senses because, in the next moment, a woman became visible right in front of me.

It was an eight-tailed foxkin with golden fur, reminding me of Blossom's gorgeous hair. She was clad in a pristine maid's attire. Unlike Yoruha, there was no overwhelming sense of time's weight pressing upon her, no lingering echoes of countless years lived. Instead, she carried herself with a composed grace, her serious eyes seemed to be dutiful. There was a stark contrast between the two; while Yoruha exuded a playful yet unsettling danger, this woman felt steady and reliable, like a blade honed for precision.

The fact Vex reacted before this blonde fox materialized in front of us just highlighted how different of a league Yoruha was in. My earlier guess of her being around the top-tier human females, those being Black Fang, Queen Morgana, and Lilith, seemed to be true. Vex was not on their level yet, so she couldn't sense Yoruha before she allowed herself to be seen. Although I had a horribly low sample size, eight tails seemed to put a Nine-Tailed Sorceress on the level of a Veil Walker-ranked Consortium member while 9 tails were matched only by the Obsidian Circle Members, and exclusively by the strongest among their ranks.

It's important to note that not all members had the same power level in each rank. Vex, for example, should be about average strength-wise in the Veil Walker rank, while Raika should be on the lower half, which made sense as she was considered to be incredibly young for the illustrious rank. If not for her brash, arrogant, and competitive personality which saw her getting thrown into extremely unfavorable circumstances on repeat, she wouldn't have been able to become so strong in her estimated ~150 years of age. By getting out alive from such circumstances, she leveled up quicker than others of her age who took a more measured path to power.

On the other hand, Orianna, the eldest disciple and the true leader of the drug department as Black Fang lived in seclusion and was notorious for pushing all her duties on the pink-haired Flower Queen, was also a Veil Walker-ranked member yet she was one of the strongest Consortium members, so much so that she had high chances of succeeding an Obsidian Circle Member should one step down from the position or die.

Though I'll have to admit my theory that only people on Black Fang's level could sense Yoruha before she dropped her veil could be called into question because none here reacted, despite Gorruk, Skarn, Vargis, Silver, and Rajah being on a similar level to the department heads. Instead, it might be more correct to assume Yoruha was the master of illusions, so in this field, she had the others beat, while the other top dogs of the continent had their own specialties they excelled at.

Nonetheless... It was time to return to the present issue.
