Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System

Chapter 974: Kent made his Move

"With this quest, it seems I have to make some adjustments to my plans." Kent didn't expect to receive a quest for something he planned on doing in the first place.

Of course, he wasn't aiming to tame all seven Monarchs. In fact, he only planned to tame the various rulers of the inner regions. However, now he knew his plans had to change.

Naturally, this was a good change.

"However, this is also bad." Kent sat down as his body worked on forming more flame veins.

"If what Lady Kami said is true, then the Monarchs here are not going to easily bend the knee and accept becoming my subordinates. I am also sure they wouldn't take kindly to threatening them, either.

This means things had to change by becoming something akin to a monarch myself"

The mere fact that he could use their blood to tame them was also good. However, seeing that they must first trust him before he could use them made him wonder if that was a good or a bad thing.

If he were to tame a Monarch, using him or her to intimidate and tame the other ones would be next to impossible.

After all, there must be some form of trust between them before he could command them. And commanding a monarch he tamed through intimidation is something impossible.

"I guess hating slavery has a price I must pay," Kent laughed.

Beast tamers aren't required to have some form of trust between them and their beasts before they can command them.

In fact, the moment they formed the contract between them and their beasts, the beasts had no say in whatever they were commanded to do.

Kent could easily do that.

However, because he hated slavery, he didn't want to use that method. However, now that he had been awarded a good way, the downsides were also staring him in the face.

"Being a good person is such a bad thing," Kent sighed and then teleported, appearing beside Commander Agnes.

"Change of plans," Kent said, "I will be hunting down the ruler of this region and make him tell me what the heck they want from me."

"But you didn't know it was you they were looking for," Commander Agnes said, but Kent shook his head.

"It's me. I have already read the memories of the beast I tamed. They are looking for something or perhaps someone. The order came down from the Monarch, so I believe the only thing they are after is my soul flame."

"But why that?" Although Kent chose not to tell her the main reason, she asked again.

"I will tell you after everything is done. That said, you have to stay here for now. Once I get my answer, I will come back for you. And don't worry, I will really come back for you."

"Okay."

Surprisingly, Commander Agnes agreed without dragging her feet. This caught Kent off guard, but he played it off as if it were no big deal.

'Looks like she has accepted my reality.'

Kent walked toward her and pressed his index finger against her forehead. When he removed it, a crossbone tattoo appeared.

"I have given you temporary control over these ten soul spirits. In case you need help, order them to explode. Then, when you are free from danger but can't stay here for long, you can wait for me back on the moon.

Of course, with the Blood Oath, I will not betray you, so just trust me. You can keep one of the soul spirits alive just to know I am still alive."

This time, Commander Agnes stood there for a few seconds before nodding.

After a few more seconds, tying up all loose ends, Kent left.

Commander Agnes entered the cave and restricted her energy to allow her to remain almost invisible to the beasts.

After Kent left, he started teleporting deeper into the inner region. The deeper he went, the more terrifying the beasts got.

Eventually, Kent chose to make his presence known. After all, he planned to gather Flame Cores and Essence Blood for his Flame Core Formation and Primal Body Tempering Art.

The moment he started killing, the ruler of the domain he was in would notice and come to him.

His first targets were a group of Ashcoil Pythons, five of them, each about 170 meters long.

The moment they saw Kent, all five of them attacked, spraying fire from their mouths. Kent waved his hand, and his flame resistance manifested into a shield around him.

The attacks landed on the shield, which held firm.

However, that wasn't all.

The moment the fire attacks ended, one of the Ashcoil Pythons struck with its long tail, aiming for Kent's neck.

Swing

The tail coming at Kent was separated from the main body, causing the Ashcoil Python to let out a painful roar.

However, Kent merely stood there as three swords hovered behind him. There was blood on one of the swords, showing it was the one he used to cut the tail off.

Naturally, as intelligent beasts, the other four Ashcoil Pythons moved back, distancing themselves from the one whose tail came off.

"No need to panic, death is just the start of a beautiful, as most used to say." The soul flag appeared, and then the space around them shook when Kent raised his finger and pointed up.

Five streaks of fire, almost like a meteor falling from space, appeared, causing thousands of beasts in the Venomous Gorges to look up.

Kent gestured down with a cold snort.

"Meteor shower."

The five lights moved, and the very ground shook violently.

The five Ashcoil Pythons felt their bodies frozen in place. Naturally, one wouldn't see what was causing that, but someone with enhanced eyesight would see soul threads linking each python to a meteor.

So when they fell, they landed directly on the bodies of the snakes, killing them instantly.

Kent waved his hand, and five flame cores flew and entered his space ring.

He opened the Soul Map, so he knew he had called some attention to himself.

But that was what he wanted.

He knew that if the King of the Venomous Gorge didn't appear, the beasts that would come would attack him, which would give him an excuse to kill.

But until then, growing stronger was now part of his plans.

He waved his hand, and flames surrounded the body of the five Ashcoil Pythons. In no time, the flames reduced their bodies to five drops of golden blood.

They flew and entered Kent's Soul Universe.

Since the system storage was not accessible, Kent had decided to use the Soul Universe as his storage space for items like essence blood, which could easily be damaged if stored raw in space rings.

Kent smiled, "With this, forming my first Blood Gate and reaching a much higher level in Primal Body Tempering Art can easily be achieved."

Kent chose to advance deeper into the inner region. The more he killed, the stronger he became, so he might as well utilise this chance to grow stronger.

---

Five days went by in a flash.

Within these five days, Kent killed over 500 beasts, each ranging between Tier 17 and 18. He had only used the flying swords and the smaller meteors he had created as his weapons.

He didn't bring his sword, so he can only use the flying swords.

However, while Kent had been on a winning streak over the past five days, having only met Tier 17 and 18 beasts, that streak ended today.

Naturally, facing him now, 24 beasts, three of which Kent knew he couldn't underestimate.

"So you are the one the Monarch is looking for?" Zeroth, the Flame Cobra King, asked, his arms crossed over his chest.
