Chapter 877: Kent vs The Wandering Demon Swordsman (2)
The moment the Wandering Demon Swordsman abandoned the attack, four cracks appeared around him, and ten doom shards came from each.
BOOM.
The shards landed on the Wandering Demon Swordsman, throwing dust into the air.
However, before the dust could even clear, a powerful red sword arc emerged from the dust, forcing Kent to cross his sword across his chest.
The attack landed on it, and Kent was sent flying away.
"Well, fuck."
Kent moved the rings in front of him, meeting yet another powerful swing from the Wandering Demon Swordsman, who appeared using the power of the Void.
*Qwuark.*
Kent caught blood as the shockwave from the attack landed on his body, slamming him to the ground.
The Wandering Demon Swordsman came for another attack while Kent was still on the ground.
However, before he could get close, two flying swords appeared from both his left and right, forcing him to abandon the attack and retreat.
Kent got back on his feet and spat out blood, smiling at the Wandering Demon Swordsman with his blood-soaked teeth on full display.
"That was close," Kent muttered.
[Indeed, and he is just from a newly Ascended High World. The master must train even more if he wants to dominate the Supreme High worlds.]
"Let's take it one step at a time, tower. First, I must dominate this bastard."
[I wish the master luck.]
"I need it." Kent laughed, knowing his perfectly coordinated attack met resistance due to the gap in strength. Of course, he felt the attacks from the wandering demon swordsman and knew he was outmatched in both strength and speed.
However, Kent was on the move the next second as the Wandering Demon Swordsman came at him again with even more powerful energy.
His level 9 profound sword energy was also overpowering Kent's, so naturally, he was out of his league in all aspects. However, Kent wasn't risking his life going into close combat for nothing.
The Wandering Demon Swordsman unleashed a jab, but that attack didn't continue as intended.
With a sudden twist, the Wandering Demon Swordsman swung low, aiming for Kent's legs. Kent leapt back, narrowly avoiding the deadly strike.
The ground shook where the sword had hit. Kent landed and used his leg to throw dust into the face of the Wandering Demon Swordsman; however, he waved his hand, blowing it back at Kent.
'No doubt about it. This demon is good with his sword, but I am better.'
Kent countered quickly. He spun around and slashed toward the Wandering Demon Swordsman's left side. The blade grazed the demon's armor, drawing a thin line of sparks.
Kent pulled back his sword and smiled, knowing he wasn't going to win using basic attacks like this.
As expected, the Wandering Demon Swordsman snarled, seeing the childish attack from Kent. He didn't care about minor wounds. When it came to healing, his speed was several times higher than that of an ordinary Heavily Ascended stage warrior.
He charged forward again, faster and more furious than before. Kent tightened his grip on his sword, ready to face the next attack.
Suddenly, the Wandering Demon Swordsman vanished in a blur. Before Kent could react, the demon appeared behind him, swinging his jagged sword.
Kent rolled forward, barely escaping the blow. He jumped to his feet and shouted, "You'll have to do better than that!"
The swordsman growled and charged with a roar. The battle raged on, Kent doing his best to remain alive long enough to learn every last move the Wandering Demon Swordsman was making.
Forty-five minutes later, a smile appeared on Kent's face, and the Wandering Demon Swordsman sensed something was wrong.
However, Kent didn't allow him to figure it out as he lunged at him and unleashed a furious swing. The moment he had been waiting for had arrived, and so he wasn't planning on letting the demon know.
Kent aimed for his neck, but the Wandering Demon Swordsman evaded and swung his sword upward, but this time Kent merely sidestepped and kicked hard, landing his foot on the Wandering Demon Swordsman's chest.
He was pushed back by the kick, but he twisted his body and dodged a thick shard that shot at him from the ground.
'Ah, the twist,' Kent smiled, kicking his foot again. This time, he heard a crackling sound come from the side of the Wandering Demon Swordsman, showing the kick did its job.
The Wandering Demon Swordsman caught blood, but he wasn't in a condition to focus on that, since before he could even recover from the broken ribs, Kent unleashed two sword arcs, landing on his chest.
"You may be a Sword King, but when it comes to using the sword, I am better than you."
Kent said as he activated the Flame Wheel and closed in on the Wandering Demon Swordsman, landing three more attacks.
Two were defended against, but the last landed on his shoulder, cutting a rather deep wound on the Wandering Demon Swordsman's shoulder. However, the wound healed much faster than Kent expected.
'His healing ability is good, but I now know all his moves, so I can cut him more. That will wear him out.' Kent smiled as he unleashed another attack.
However, before the sword arc could reach the Wandering Demon Swordsman, he activated his sword realm, changing the scene of the battle.
Kent appeared inside a space filled with the scent of blood. His body immediately felt weaker, as if all his energy had drained away. But that was jsut the initial changes.
The complete change soon came to life, revealing the slaughter realm that the Wandering Demon Swordsman had comprehended as his sword realm.
"You asked whether a sword realm can be used against someone below the Sword King stage. Here is your answer," the Wandering Demon Swordsman said, pointing his sword at Kent, "Now, prepare to die."
"Blood Howling Strike," he unleashed a powerful attack, sending a red blood arc, one that howled with the wind as it approached Kent.
It contained his intent and realm influence, making it several times dangerous.
If the attack were unleashed outside, it wouldn't have that much firepower. But inside the Sword Realm, the Wandering Demon Swordsman had some form of influence over his attacks.
However, as much as the Wandering Demon Swordsman would have loved to see his attack cleave through Kent's body, just like it should. When the sword was mere inches from Kent, an evil smile appeared on his face, and then he snapped his fingers.
The sword arc vanished along with the Sword Realm. Both Kent and the Wandering Demon Swordsman were back outside.
Kent held a smile on his face while the Wandering Demon Swordsman showed both shock and fear.
"How?" he asked, but Kent just smiled at him.
"Wouldn't you want to know my big secret? I won't tell you, but I have to say, for a peak Sword King, your sword realm is rather terrible.
Makes me wonder if you really put a lot of thought into it, or if you merely conceptualized the slaughter realm like it was the coolest thing to do.
I am disappointed, and for that, I will show you what real swordsmanship looks like.
'Clone Bodies.'"
Three clone bodies appeared, each looking exactly like Kent.
Kent's eyes turned golden red, showing he had activated one percent of his bloodline.
"Here I come." The three clone bodies activated Flame Wheels and moved simultaneously with Kent.
The Wandering Demon Swordsman, seeing something new, was lost on what to do.
His mind spun, looking for the real Kent. However, before he could figure it out, Kent appeared before him, unleashing a powerful swing.
