Primordial Awakening: Rise of the Legendary Dragon God

CHAPTER 93 - "Shut up."

The silence that followed Kael's muttered words was no longer confusion.

It was recognition.

Ragnar's pupils shrank as he replayed the scene in his mind—the structure of the circle, the deviations, the way Kael's mana had threaded through patterns that took archmages years to stabilize.

Rovan's throat went dry.

"That circle…" he said quietly. "That human had probably spent years refining it, yet he copied it."

Rina's jaw tightened. "And modified it." Her eyes flicked to Kael. "In minutes."

The realization settled differently on each side.

For the demihumans, it hardened into resolve.

This wasn't a talent to be ignored.

This was a variable that could tilt the balance of continents.

'He has to be recruited,' Ragnar thought grimly. 'No matter the cost.'

For Seraphina, the realization crystallized into something colder.

'He must be killed.'

Even if it costs her life.

Even if it meant open conflict with Grandins.

Of course, it wasn't an easy decision to make, but realizing the implications, she knew she had to do it.

And she was sure that no one in Astraea would blame her for this.

Because leaving Kael alive was worse than war.

White mana surged violently around her as she raised both hands.

A massive magic circle bloomed behind her—layered, rotating runes folding into one another as it began to charge, devouring mana at an alarming rate.

At the same time, half a dozen smaller circles snapped into existence around her, firing instantly.

Blades. Lances. Beams.

All aimed at Kael, wanting to keep him engaged until her main attack was charged enough to kill Kael in one go.

But before Kael could move—

Ragnar was there.

He crossed the distance in a single step, placing himself directly in front of Kael as his body shifted.

Golden-brown fur erupted over his arms. His fingers elongated into claws. His jaw widened, and fangs were bared.

Then he roared.

The sound wasn't just noise—it was dominance, pressure, and will.

The incoming spells shattered mid-air like glass struck by a hammer.

Then the roar went ahead and slammed into unprepared Seraphina, freezing her for a fraction of a second—

And that one second was enough.

Rovan's staff flared.

A spell he had been charging silently detonated forward, crashing into Seraphina's natural barrier and forcing her back.

At the same time, Rina blurred.

Her form twisted mid-motion, bones shifting, and fur erupting as she became a towering werewolf, claws glowing as she slammed into the massive magic circle still charging behind Seraphina.

She ripped into it.

Claws tore through pure mana, shredding runes that should not have been touchable.

It was an impossible thing to do, but she could because she was that special.

She and Rovan weren't called the super twins of the demihuman domain for no reason.

As Rina moved past Seraphina's magic circle while clawing, it shattered.

She landed beside Ragnar and Rovan an instant later, giving Seraphina a sharp, predatory look.

It was as if she were telling her that they could kill her if they wanted to.

Seraphina, on the other hand, broke free of the stun the very next second, mana exploding outward as she stabilized herself.

Her gaze locked onto the three demihumans.

They were ready.

If she moved again, they would fight.

Still, she was prepared to fight.

This time, she would be ready for them, and she had already made plans on how she would kill the twins, especially Rina, who had a very annoying ability.

The air trembled as both sides got ready to move.

But just then—

"Enough."

Kael's voice echoed through the air, no longer calm.

He was growling now.

"If any of you step into my fight again," he said slowly, "I'll consider you my enemy."

Rina spun toward him. "Hey, don't be a fo—"

He cut her off instantly.

"Shut up."

His eyes burned gold—fully draconic now.

A chill ran down Rina's spine.

Even Ragnar felt it, which made him frown as he sensed his instincts telling him that he shouldn't anger Kael more.

"I don't know if I can kill you," Kael continued, glancing briefly at Ragnar, "but the twins?"

His gaze snapped to Rina and Rovan.

"I'm sure I can."

The implication was clear.

If they interfered again, Kael would move first to kill the twins, and with Seraphina here, Ragnar might not be able to move freely. After all, he had already made her an enemy by protecting Kael.

Hearing his warning, the twins, recalling the fate of Caelis and Caelia, moved away inadvertently.

Ragnar, however, frowned deeply, his teeth grinding. "Even if you learned a spell… You can't shatter her barrier. You can't defeat—"

Before he could complete his words, Kael vanished.

He reappeared beside Rovan.

A hand clamped around Rovan's throat.

The mage froze, breath hitching as Kael's grip tightened—not crushing, but promising.

Kael looked at Ragnar.

"Try to justify your interruption, or try to stop my fight," he said quietly, "and I swear to everything precious to me, I'll kill him."

Rina hissed. "Hey! Let him go!"

Kael, however, clenched harder, making Ragnar grit his teeth. "We'll back off."

With those words, along with Rina, he stepped away, and as he did, he growled, his eyes glowing. "Let him go. Now."

Kael released Rovan without a word, making the guy retreat while coughing.

Kael was now a madman for the demihumans.

They gave him chances to live again and again, yet he kept denying, going so far as to threaten them.

It seemed a bit too much to them, and even Rina, who was attracted to Kael, found herself cursing him.

What none of them knew was that Kael didn't want to go to the demihuman domain either because he didn't like working under someone else.

And he knew that the moment he said no to them, he would become their enemy as well.

So, he was trying to keep his distance from them.

As the demihumans settled in the back, Kael's eyes locked onto Seraphina.

But as she looked at his completely dragonic eyes, she froze.

'No way...'

She had denied and avoided the thought.

She had seen many signs, but considering his talent and everything else, she knew she couldn't deny it now.

'He is related to the dragons.'

Seraphina was one of those people who had studied dragons, the mighty beings that were the highest existence on the planet.

So, she knew what their features were, and although she knew that every dragon was already dead, she now knew that Kael was somehow related to them.

She still didn't think that Kael was a dragon, but she was sure that he was related to them.

But that alone was enough to harden her resolve.

'I need to kill you and take your body back.'

Kael, oblivious to her thoughts, smiled.

A dangerous, eager smile, as he was sure that he had finally found someone who could push him to his limits.

"Well?" He asked softly. "Shall we continue?"

And for the first time—

Seraphina smiled back.

It was a smile that came automatically when she thought about Kael's foolishness for denying the demihumans' help.

"Of course," she replied.

And with that, her magic circles flared to life again, a big one behind her, charging.

The next moment, as her magic circles fired, Kael moved.

The air around him exploded as he flew forward, black scales rippling beneath his clothes, a faint reddish barrier shimmering over them like heat haze.

Four magic circles ignited behind him in rapid succession—overlapping, rotating, and screaming with raw mana.

The world blurred.

Kael vanished.

Reappeared.

Vanished again.

Wind detonated where he had been, his body propelled sideways as telekinesis yanked him mid-air, only for him to tear space and reappear behind Seraphina—his fist already swinging.

CLANG.

His strike hit her natural barrier, sending shockwaves through the air. The barrier rippled—but held.

Before he could follow up, beams of white mana erupted from every direction.

Kael twisted, teleporting again.

A lance tore through his shoulder before the jump was completed, blood spraying as he reappeared dozens of meters away, only to be met by another volley already waiting for him.

He raised a telekinesis barrier instinctively.

It shattered on impact like brittle glass.

"Tch—!"

He spun, wind magic screaming as he deflected one beam with the magic from his magic circles, another grazing his side and carving a burning line across his ribs.

He teleported again—above her this time—only to be met by a blade of mana already rising.

Seraphina wasn't aiming anymore.

She was flooding the space.

No matter where Kael went, death was already there.

Still, he kept coming.

Again and again, he teleported close, striking with fists, elbows, and claws—every hit slamming into the same spot on her barrier.

Once.

Twice.

Ten times.

Each time before the barrier could fully regenerate.

Seraphina's eyes narrowed.

From afar, Ragnar stiffened.

"…Wait," Rovan whispered. "He's not trying to break it all at once."

Rina's breath caught. "He's… stacking damage."

The barrier trembled.

A hairline crack appeared—then vanished.

Then appeared again.

Kael was bleeding now.

Deep gashes scored his arms, his side, and his thigh.

A hole burned clean through his calf before sealing shut, only for another beam to rip across his back.

His healing was monstrous—but not enough.

He staggered once.

Then vanished again.

Reappeared.

BAM.

Another hit. Same spot.

The barrier cracked audibly.

Seraphina's expression shifted—not fear, but disbelief.

'Impossible.'

An SS-ranker could not do this.

Kael coughed blood, wiped it from his mouth with the back of his hand, and his eyes blazed.

'Just a little more.'

He could feel it.

One more sequence.

One more—

He teleported again.

Same angle.

Same distance.

Same strike.

Ragnar's eyes widened in horror as he realized something.

"HEY—!" He roared. "IT'S A TRAP!"

Everyone saw it.

Everyone—except Kael.

The massive magic circle behind Seraphina finished charging.

Runes locked.

Space screamed.

Seraphina's eyes gleamed coldly.

The spell fired.

Not a beam—

A pillar.

A tree-thick column of annihilating white mana erupted forward, swallowing the space Kael occupied entirely.

There was no time.

No room.

No escape.

The pillar consumed him whole.

Light devoured the battlefield.

And Kael vanished inside it.
