Primordial Awakening: I Can Evolve My Skills Infinitely

Chapter 194: The Fast Travel Perk is Activated

[You have unlocked the "Fast Travel" perk with your "Realm Map"!]

"Huh?"

Sam looked at the glowing panel in front of him with an uncertain expression.

Receiving the map alone had already been beyond his expectations, because it allowed him to see not only landmarks but the structure of the realm itself.

He even wondered if it would also work in the [Lower Realm] or even in the one above, since the description had clearly stated that this was a [Realm Map].

But he couldn't test that theory yet.

And more than anything else, one phrase stood out.

'Fast Travel?' Sam's eyes widened. 'No way. There's no way it means what I think it does.'

Without hesitation, he tapped the panel.

More text appeared immediately.

---

[Special Perk: Fast Travel]

[Once per day, you will be able to select a spot you have been in previously and teleport there immediately.]

[You can only travel to places that you have been to before.]

---

Sam's breath caught.

His eyes widened further as he reread the lines again and again, making sure he wasn't imagining them.

Because if this was real… then this perk was broken beyond belief.

Even if he could only use it once per day, it would still mean he could jump straight to the [Fourth Zone] without wasting days or weeks traveling across barriers.

It also meant that none of the other awakeners would be able to chase him down, no matter how many of them were lying in wait outside the barriers.

And more importantly than all of that…

"Heh…"

A grin spread slowly across Sam's face.

He opened the [Realm Map] again, the transparent display of the [Upper Realm] stretching before his eyes.

His hand moved quickly, zooming in on the [Forsaken Kingdom].

The map shifted, showing sub-sections inside the kingdom, each marked with a neat glowing dot and labeled text.

[Kingdom Gate]

[Mansions District]

[Shop]

[House]

There were other smaller markers, but Sam didn't bother reading through all of them.

Only one mattered.

'Alright,' he muttered to himself. 'Let's test this thing out.'

He tapped the map, focusing on the new perk.

Ding!

[Special perk activated!]

[Where do you wish to teleport? Simply press the dot where you wish to go!]

Sam extended his hand toward the glowing [House] dot and touched it lightly.

Ding!

[Do you wish to teleport to "House" inside of the "Forsaken Kingdom"?]

[Teleporting may or may not have side effects, and you will only be able to do it again 24 hours from now.]

Sam stared at the panel for only a brief moment before shrugging.

"Who cares."

Confirm.

Ding!

[You are going to be teleported.]

A golden aura immediately spread out from the map and wrapped around Sam's body.

It grew brighter, wrapping him in a cocoon of light, and the map itself dissolved back into his chest as though merging into him.

Sam's vision began to dim as the world shifted violently.

A vortex of colors swirled all around him, and then…

Ding!

[You have arrived.]

The golden aura faded away, and Sam's vision returned.

His feet were standing on familiar floorboards.

The walls around him were exactly as he remembered.

He let out a sharp exhale.

"This perk is incredible," he muttered.

He was standing in his apartment inside the [Forsaken Kingdom].

He hadn't touched the gates, hadn't crossed through the barriers, hadn't even been seen entering.

He had simply appeared back home as if nothing had happened.

A dangerous grin spread across his face.

'With this… I should be able to slip through everything.'

He remembered the tens of thousands of awakeners gathered at the [Second Barrier], all of them lying in wait, determined to catch the primordial no matter what.

But they couldn't possibly expect that he could bypass everything and teleport directly inside.

To Sam, it didn't matter if they waited there for hours, days, or weeks.

He had already outsmarted them all.

He chuckled lightly, the grin still stuck on his face.

Still, it was better if he let himself be seen moving around inside the kingdom.

If no one saw him, suspicion might fall on him again, and he had no desire to deal with unnecessary attention.

He stepped out of his apartment and walked through the streets.

The city was much more crowded than it had been when the [Upper Realm] first opened.

Far more awakeners had poured in since then, filling the districts with noise and activity.

But Sam ignored the bustling crowds.

His focus was fixed ahead, on the looming gate.

And when he finally arrived there, the scene that met him was enough to draw a quiet laugh from his lips.

Tens of thousands of people were stationed in front of the gate and beyond it, blocking every possible passage.

They were waiting like hunters around a trap, their eyes sharp and their auras restless, ready to strike down anyone suspicious who tried to sneak inside.

Sam's grin widened.

"Hah… too bad."

[We should just annihilate them all right now =)]

Sam tilted his head slightly, acknowledging the voice but saying nothing.

He didn't need to bother with these people.

They would wait forever, and they would find nothing.

He leaned casually against a nearby wall and watched them for half an hour.

As expected, nothing changed.

No one broke formation, no one shouted, no one rushed the gates.

They were waiting for a phantom who had already slipped past them.

Sam's thoughts drifted elsewhere.

Now that he was back inside the kingdom, safe from the massive mob outside, he could focus on what truly mattered.

He had unlocked a new perk from the [Mystery Box].

He had already used the [Skill Tier Advancement Scrolls].

The next step was clear. All he needed was time.

Time to evolve his skills with [Primordial Evolution].

Time to train them all within his [Dimension of Time].

It would be slow, yes, because he had many skills to refine.

But Sam wasn't bothered.

If he pushed every single one of his abilities to its peak, he would have nothing to fear from the dangers of this realm.

A wide smile tugged at his lips.

"=)"

Of course, now that he knew the [Mystery Boxes] existed, he couldn't afford to let anyone else get their hands on them.

From now on, he would clear the missions first, every time.

No one else would reach them before him.

The thought of the next mission stirred unease in the back of his mind.

The [Maze of the Damned].

Even the name sounded cruel.

He wasn't sure what awaited him there, but his instincts whispered that it would be worse than anything so far.

Still, he would reach it before anyone else.

He was about to turn back toward his apartment when—

Fwish! Fwish!

A sound like a storm tore through the air outside the gate.

Sam turned sharply, his eyes narrowing.

Thousands of awakeners were charging toward the [Forsaken Kingdom].

Dust and mana flared as they stampeded across the ground, their numbers filling the horizon.

The sight made even the awakeners already stationed inside the kingdom freeze in shock.

"Did they get him?" someone shouted.

"They must have! Why else would they all come back like this?"

"We'll get to see his corpse? That bastard's finally dead?"

The air filled with cheers and excitement.

Dozens of voices shouted, each one louder than the last, as if joy itself was swelling through the crowd.

The belief that the primordial had been killed spread instantly, and countless awakeners let themselves smile in relief.

But their celebration didn't last.

A single roar cut through the chaos like a blade.

Lucien, the leader of the [Eternal] celestials, raised his voice.

"HE'S IN THE FUCKING KINGDOM!"

Every word thundered with fury.

"HOW DID YOU LET HIM PASS?"

The cheers stopped immediately.

The crowd went silent.

Awakeners glanced at one another, confusion flashing across every face.
