Chapter 28: Chapter:28

"You're still not strong enough. You can't beat me like this."

"What did you say?! It was a draw! Why are you saying I lost?"

"It was a 2v2 battle, but in the first match, your Electric Mouse electrocuted itself. Doesn't that count as my win?"

"That… that's because I just caught it! Give me more time, and I'll definitely make it my partner."

"And when you're battling, do you think your enemies will give you time?"

"..."

The two Trainers were locked in an argument. The spiky-haired boy was calm and analytical, while the boy wearing his hat backward, flustered and weak in his reasoning, couldn't win the debate.

"Hmph, Ash. As a Trainer, you can't even handle your own Pokémon. That's your fault."

"…You're right. This time, I lost. But next time, I'll beat you, Gary!"

"Everyone can talk big. Honestly, I'd rather battle that guy over there than waste my time on you."

Gary suddenly turned his attention to Satoshi, who had approached while they were arguing.

"I saw it earlier. You're holding a real Pokédex, aren't you? That makes you the third Pokédex owner, right?"

Gary had noticed Satoshi as soon as he arrived. Despite being engrossed in his battle with Ash, Gary's vigilance hadn't waned. Initially, he thought Satoshi was just an onlooker, but when he spotted the Pokédex in Satoshi's hand, he realized the truth.

"Compared to this impulsive Ash, I'm more interested in you,You seem calm and composed. My name is Gary, and I'm also a Pokédex owner. Would you like to have a Pokémon battle?"

To confirm his identity, Gary pulled out his own Pokédex, identical to the one in Satoshi's possession.

"Wait, he is a Pokédex owner too?"

Ash, the boy with the backward hat, completely ignored Gary's jab at him and turned his attention to Satoshi with newfound interest.

At first, Satoshi was caught off guard by Gary's invitation.

The two boys in front of him were none other than Ash and Gary, the iconic Trainers from Pokémon lore. However, these versions were vastly different from the characters he had watched in his previous life.

Although they shared the same names, their personalities and battle prowess were leagues ahead. Satoshi thought of them as "Red" and "Green," which were their Japanese game counterparts. These two weren't just ordinary Trainers—they were prodigies.

[Achievements of Ash and Gary

1. Team Rocket's Fall

Together, they destroyed Team Rocket's headquarters, dealing a massive blow to the organization.

2. Quasi-Elite Level in Six Months

Both achieved quasi-elite level strength in under half a year and reached champion-level strength in just over a year]

These two were key figures in the game's story, and their influence couldn't be understated.

Satoshi realized this was a great opportunity. Befriending Ash and Gary would not only grant him access to potential hidden tasks but also allow him to connect with two of the game's strongest Trainers. Helping them when they needed assistance would undoubtedly lead to incredible rewards.

However, Gary's sudden declaration that Satoshi was the "third Pokédex owner" left him momentarily stunned.

"Wait… how am I a Pokédex owner? Isn't that title reserved for these two?"

After a moment of reflection, Satoshi realized that his possession of a real Pokédex qualified him for the title.

"Alright, Gary isn't wrong. I am technically the third Pokédex owner."

Clearing his throat, Satoshi greeted them politely.

"Ahem… Yes, I'm the third Pokédex owner. My name is Satoshi. It's nice to meet you, Ash and Gary. As fellow Pokédex owners, I hope we can learn from each other."

Ash's demeanor immediately softened.

"Hello, Satoshi. My name is Ash. Please take care of me from now on."

Gary, however, remained focused on his challenge.

"So, Satoshi, would you like to have a Pokémon battle?"

Ash frowned. "Gary, you just met Satoshi! Challenging him to a battle right away is rude."

"Hah! Being called rude by someone as impulsive as you is a first. Step aside, Ash. I'm not challenging you."

Gary's irritation was evident, and the imaginary "well" character above his head practically floated in place.

"You two seem to get along well," Satoshi said with a teasing smile as he watched the bickering pair.

"Who has a good relationship with this guy?!" x2

"Why are you copying me?!" x2

"Hmph!" x2

Satoshi blinked, momentarily at a loss for words.

Watching Satoshi's amused expression, Ash and Gary briefly glanced at each other before resuming their argument.
