Pokémon: Worlds Divided

Leon knew from Beldum's description that this was Seviper. Seviper was a territorial Pokémon, so it was likely to attack them. 

'Unfortunately, we can detect it and I have counter Pokémon for it.' Leon had also brought Potions, which explorers or trainers should always have. 

Who was unfortunate was the Seviper.

'There are two Seviper and they have eggs.' As they drew closer, Beldum's senses were expanded.

'What? There are eggs?' Leon looked at Beldum with wide eyes.

'Yes, there appeared to be 5 eggs available. This Seviper couple is guarding them and will attack anyone they see or sense.' 

Their hostility was normal for any Pokémon or animal in the wild. Leon decided to distance himself from these Pokémon.

Afterward, he recalled Shroomish and summoned Onix for this battle. Leon wanted to snatch those eggs, they could be worth something later. 

His only worry was their strength, how strong were these Sevipers? Leon crept through the tall grass, but this was kinda hard due to Onix's size.

Due to Onix's size, it could be seen from a mile away. Leon had no choice but to have Onix burrow underground and attack with an ambush. 

Onix seemed more cooperative with Leon, which was a good thing. Leon, Aron, and Beldum converged on the Seviper's position.

It was a slow process since Leon had to be careful about his steps. He didn't want to sneak alarm them right away.

After about five minutes of steady walking, Leon parted the tall grass and spotted his targets. His heart chilled when he saw their appearance; these Pokémon were large in mass.

Their large fangs were enough to kill nearly anything on this Island in one blow. With those sly sinister eyes, it looked like they were up to no good. 

Leon crouched there for a moment. It would be a lie if he said he wasn't intimidated by this Pokémon. Beldum seemed to understand Leon's thoughts and encouraged him to fight.

'Onix is waiting underground, he's already beneath the nest. I can signal him to attack any time if you want.' Beldum could telepathically message Onix at any moment. 

'I don't want to risk destroying the eggs, so let's hold off on that.' Leon's eyes analyzed the couple to gauge their strength.

Leon scowled upon noticing that both of them possessed positive attack traits. They were situated in an area without tall grass, just a bare expanse of dirt. Their fairly spacious den was exposed, and anyone could easily look inside.

This was especially so with Leon's enhanced vision. 

"Go and fight. You both are immune to their poisonous attacks." Leon ordered. He had his plans in this matter.

Beldum and Aron quickly went forward, which immediately aroused the attention of the Seviper couple. The male turned his head, and his eyes squinted with a glint of viciousness and utter hostility. 

'Master, this guy is angry and wants to kill us!' Leon couldn't understand Seviper's emotions or thoughts, but this wasn't the same for Beldum.

'Don't worry, this isn't something it can accomplish. Just beat it down with Iron Head and tell Aron to use Rock Tomb.'

Leon wasn't going to hand out any more orders for now; he needed to focus on those eggs. 

Beldum didn't hesitate and charged at Seviper fearlessly. It had already relayed Leon's orders to Aron.

SsssSeviper~

Seviper's eyes widened as its tail glowed with a purple radiance. It appeared to be surrounded by a corrosive aura.

Seviper stabbed its tail forth, its eyes jeering with killing spirit. Beldum remembered what Leon said about its poisonous attacks not working.

Both attacks clashed head-on, but due to Beldum Steel-type Aura; it wasn't affected at all. Beldum easily broke the Poison Tail strike, shocking Seviper. 

No one had ever been able to do this. Once Poison Tail landed most were pretty much a goners.

Beldum rammed into the side of Seviper's neck and sent its big body flying head first. Leon saw that it had 60% of Seviper's HP.

As Seviper was regaining its composure from the assault and shock, three sizeable rocks crashed down and engulfed it. At that moment, Seviper's body glimmered with a blue light, signaling a status change.

The Female Seviper finally understood that things were bad and quickly hopped into action. If her mate was defeated, she would be alone against the enemy.

Seviper saw that Poison Tail didn't work, so she opted for something different. She attacked Beldum by using the move Lick. Her tongue seemed to grow in length and width, especially in length. 

'Dodge that move! Don't let it hit you. That move is a weakness you can't afford to get with!' Beldum could hear Leon's orders through thought as he urgently warned it.

Beldum quickly levitated to the side to evade, but its tongue slapped over and struck it. 

Aron launched an attack as well, using Rock Tomb on the Female Seviper, who was focused on Beldum.

However, right before the attack connected, the Male Seviper intercepted the rocks. Unfortunately, it still took a blow from one of the rocks, which further hindered its speed.

Aron was also distracted when he saw a shadow in the cave. The Male Seviper was panting at this point, it only had about 5% of its health left. 

Seviper had noticed a shadow as well, but it was afraid to turn around. After all, this Aron seemed to like sneak attacking people.

Within the Seviper couple's den; a little bulb-head figure with an extremely short stature could be seen.

Who could this be but Sableye?

Sableye chuckled before grabbing two eggs for each arm. This was the job assigned to it by Leon, and Sableye enjoyed this type of work. 

Sableye could only carry two eggs at a time, it quickly used the move Shadow Sneak to leave. It escaped through the forest so it wouldn't be detected and it could wrap around and reach Leon more easily. 

Leon smiled as he watched these events occur. The Male Seviper was on the defensive, but could barely evade and block. Its body was sluggish and weak from damage taken and speed drops. 

Aron kept pressuring and pressing Seviper. It finally landed an Iron Claw and defeated it.

"Sab...Sableye!" Right then, Sableye appeared beside Leon and presented him with the Seviper eggs.

"Nice job! I'll be sure to buy you some precious gems in the future." Leon smiled and took both eggs, they weren't small and were many times bigger than chicken eggs. 

"Go grab the rest of them. There are still three eggs left, I must have them all." Leon grinned and said.

"Sab." Sableye nodded before turning into a shadow and disappearing into the forest. 

"So these are Seviper eggs, let's see if I can inspect them." Leon analyzed per usual.

The second egg was a female with an E aptitude and a Bold nature. Other than that; everything else was the same. 

Leon successfully placed them within his inventory, much to his surprise. 

"Isn't it a living thing? How can it be placed in the Inventory?" Leon hoped these Pokémon weren't dead inside.

"No, that isn't possible. My ability should or perhaps would tell me if a Pokémon is dead." This was purely speculation, Leon had yet to see a dead Pokémon. 

Leon gazed in the direction where the battle was taking place. The battle between Aron and Beldum Vs Seviper was coming to a close.

The female wasn't as agile as her male counterpart for a reason. She had just laid eggs and her level was lower.

While this was going on, Leon threw a Pokéball at the defeated male Seviper. No one noticed as both sides were in a deadlock battle. Beldum wasn't as fast due to its Paralysis from Seviper's Lick. 

Seviper!!

Seviper finally lunged out to attack after playing defense for some time; her target was the slow Beldum. Dark aura surged from her fangs, this was clearly the move Bite. 

When a Pokémon used a move, these attacks were always accommodated with aura. The aura used depended on what [type] the move was.

Dark Aura against Beldum was Super Effective.

Right as Seviper was about to attack, Leon quickly gave the order to Beldum. Right then, the ground shook and Onix emerged from it. 

Seviper was shocked and flinched at Onix's sudden appearance. Onix rammed Seviper with its head, knocking the stunned Seviper back before shooting it with a Dragonbreath.

In the process, an electric current surged throughout Seviper's Body.

It had been paralyzed from Dragonbreath.

Aron!

Seeing the opportunity, Aron attacked it with Rock Tomb. This combination of attacks dealt devastating damage to Seviper. 

SssSeviper~

Seviper wasn't dumb but it couldn't understand why these guys were working together. An Onix, Beldum, and Aron working hand in hand?

If anything, these guys were enemies and rivals. In the end, they all would amount to Steel-type Pokémon.

While it mulling this over, it turned its head. There, Seviper saw a small Pokémon carrying 'its' eggs nonchalantly.

Seviper expression darkened as her expression twisted viciously witnessesing this scene.

It was Sableye! It had been watching the battle and felt secure coming out in the open. This was because it saw the results of the battle and knew it could come out. 

"SSSevip~ Seviper~"

"Checheche~! Sab Sableye! Checheche!" Sableye seemed to be mocking Seviper as it nonchalantly walked past and away from it.

Seviper was burning with anger, but it couldn't do anything about it. Aron decided to land the final blow with a Rock Tomb, ending this battle.

Naturally, Leon came out and caught the Seviper female. Leon also recovered the last egg from the den. They investigated the den and discovered nothing of value, so they continued onward. 

There were two males and three females; the females all had an E aptitude while both boys had an E+ aptitude. 

Leon was satisfied with his gains. He administered some potions and paralysis heals on Beldum. They rested for about ten minutes before continuing their expedition through the tall grass. 

"I can't delay, I want to go home after all of this as soon as possible." Leon traversed the tall grass and used Beldum to navigate. Beldum was primarily used to keep watch for danger or Pokémon in the surroundings. 

Onix easily swept through the tall grass as if it were harvesting wheat. This made things more convenient for Leon as he ventured. 

Beldum had sensed a Pokémon underground, it seemed to be hibernating. Beldum had also learned a new ability, it could now pump images into Leon's mind.

Without describing it; Leon could now see what this Pokémon's appearance was. 

"Oh, it's a Nincada!" Leon smiled. 

These Pokémon usually hibernated underground until they evolved into a Ninjask. 

"Beldum. I need you to help Onix sense the location of this Pokémon and capture it." Leon may as well capture it for a dex entry, it was also a Hoenn Pokémon.

Onix heard what Leon wanted to do and cooperated with Beldum. It didn't take long for Onix to capture the Nincada and beat it. Nincada's level was too low, just like its aptitude; so it was an easy takedown.

Leon caught it and added it to his dex entry. 

"This is a good Pokémon once it evolves into a Ninjask." Unfortunately, its aptitude was at an F-rank.

Eventually, Leon reached his destination. There was nothing but a grassy flowery plain, which was a beautiful sight and a change of scenery.

[Detecting unknown chest! Would you like to retrieve the unknown chest? y/n]

As Leon was hoping for and expecting; he saw a notification screen appear in front of him.

'Retrieve!'

[Congratulations, you've received a Grass Elemental Chest!]

"Great!" Leon didn't hesitate and decided to open it. 

[Would you like to open Elemental Grass Chest? y/n?]

[Ding! Opening Elemental Grass Chest...]

Content with his gains, Leon gazed around the flower field for a while before turning to leave. He quickly returned to town and back to his home where his family was waiting.

They welcomed him happily and were even relieved. Leon had been gone for two hours, so they were happy that he was back so soon.

In the days that passed, they had done a few things before departing. Leon and his siblings got the help of the trainers who had come with Larry. They helped the trio catch some Pokémon within the mine.

Leon and Leona caught a Mawile with their help. Even with the joint defense of the Mawile clan, they stood no chance against these trainers.

Leon warned Leona that Mawile needed companionship always. This Pokémon would go crazy alone, and always needed some form of companionship.

Death was even a possibility. 

As for Lars, he went up the mountain. With the help of a trainer from the Alliance, Lars defeated the Meditite Leader and caught it.

Its Machop lackeys scattered like chickens without a head when it was defeated.

This Meditite had a really good aptitude, which was D++! It even knew the move recover; this was a really big catch for Lars. 

These Pokémon probably took years of breeding to reach this aptitude on this secluded island. 

Leon had targeted the best Mawile before giving it to Leona back then. Though its aptitude fell short compared to Lars's Meditite, it still had a D aptitude. 

This Mawile was the Leader, so its aptitude was quite high. Leon went to visit the Pokémon Center one last time to heal his Pokémon.

This was especially so for the Seviper couple. Leon had warned the nurse that they might be aggressive once they awakened.

The nurse assured Leon that she could handle such Pokémon if they got out of control. Leon sat in the waiting lounge for just over an hour.

He had no idea what she did, but these Pokémon were well-behaved when he received them.

The nurse explained that more workers were being transferred over. This Pokémon Center wouldn't be so vacant. Those days were over anyway, as teens came in often to heal their Pokémon.

Leon talked to her for about an hour until saying his final goodbyes to this nurse. He stuck his arm out to give her a handshake, but she pushed his hand aside and pulled him in for a hug.

She thanked Leon for keeping her company and talking to her before he finally departed.

Leon had to explain to his Seviper that he was their new trainer. According to Beldum, they wanted to see and tend to their eggs. Leon naturally handed the eggs over to them; these were their offspring and they could hatch them without outside help.

After all, Leon didn't have any incubators. 

Not just that, the pringled mustache man found out about Leon's connection to Pokémon Alliance. Afterward, he didn't try and cause trouble for Leon and his siblings.

But this was on the surface, he wouldn't mess with Leon anymore on this island. Leon didn't even know that this guy was trying to harm him. 

He and his siblings also received their ID confirmation papers from the Mayor. The rest of their time was studying Pokémon natures and types. 

The day finally came for them to leave. They had already packed their belongings a day before.

Leona felt emotional leaving the island despite wanting to leave. They had lived here since they were 8 years old and grew up here. There were many memories here, the good, the bad, and unfortunately, the ugly.

Leon had to cheer her up; this was a big step for all of them. This island held no future for them, they were also rich as hell!

Leon jokingly said.

This immediately cheered her up and they all laughed. Carrying their luggage outside, they took one last look at the factory before leaving.

Arriving at the docks, they were met with Larry. 

"Perfect! You came right on time, let's leave." Larry smiled and signaled the siblings to follow him.

The ship was a luxurious mini cruise ship. Leon saw a few ships docked here carrying all sorts of construction materials.

Many construction workers exited a few ships and were ready to work on the new Pokémon branch.

"Goodbye, Driftveil Island." Leon boarded the ship last before saying his final words.
