That afternoon, Chris returned to the Green Valley Gym.

There were still about ten days until the next Pokémon sale conference held by Chris's Breeding House.

Chris was still enjoying a period of gym truce. There would be no short-sighted challengers jumping out to test themselves against him.

The first battle of the World Pokémon Conference had been arranged by Wanda in the middle of the month, before the Pokémon Sale Conference. His rival was currently unknown, as competitions involving the Ultra Ball group level were assigned by the official World Pokémon Contest committee.

Additionally, Chris had handed over the ranch to Wanda to take care of the trivial matters.

Therefore, Chris, who had returned to the Green Valley Gymnasium, could take a good rest for a while.

However, these were breaks only in reality.

In the game, Chris was going to be busy again.

His goal: Defeat all the gyms in the Kanto Region except the Viridian City Gym!

The leader of Team Rocket, Boss Giovanni, was temporarily missing from Viridian City. Chris didn't delay either. After returning to the ranch, he controlled the protagonist to fly back to the Hoenn Region from Kanto, and then flew to the Alola Region from Hoenn.

He decided to put aside the Gym Badges of Sinnoh, Unova, and other Regions for now.

Chris was going to master Z-Moves and Dynamax first. By mastering these powers, as long as his body could bear it, his Pokémon's combat power would definitely increase dramatically!

He preferred the Alola Region because it was relatively close. It only took half a day to get there by plane.

The plane landed at Hau'oli City on Melemele Island in the Alola Region.

Walking out of the airport, Chris first went to the Pokémon Center to register.

Then, Chris opened the map and selected Mossdeep City for Fly.

[Is Flygon going to Hoenn Region - Mossdeep City using Fly? Time required: 117 hours, 33 minutes and 17 seconds]

"Almost five days," he thought. This was expected.

After all, it took about 10 days to fly back to Mossdeep City from the Alola Region, which could only be reached by plane in one day.

Exiting the Pokémon Center, Chris went straight to Iki Town, the location of Melemele Island's kahuna, Hala. This was the beginning of the island trials in the game, and Hala would make a Z-Ring for him. If Chris wanted to get a Z-Ring and learn Z-Moves, he had to start here.

However, Chris had just walked a few steps when he suddenly stopped.

He noticed a weird sticker stuck to the right of the door of the Pokémon Center.

"If I'm not mistaken, this should be a Totem Sticker!" Chris thought.

He stepped forward to interact with it.

[You got a Totem Sticker]

Chris opened his backpack to examine it.

Totem Stickers: Totem Pokémon can be obtained from Samson Oak when a certain number of Totem Stickers are collected.

"Totem Pokémon?" Chris read this text and immediately sat up straight on the reception sofa.

He remembered that in the game, if you collected a certain number of Totem Stickers, you could get Totem-sized Pokémon from Samson Oak, the Alolan cousin of Professor Oak.

It was important to note that these were just Totem-sized, not actual Totem Pokémon!

There was an essential difference between the two.

The former was just a huge body, while the latter had the ability to create a domineering field!

The difference was enormous!

"If I can really obtain Totem Pokémon..." Chris felt a surge of excitement.

In the game, the Totem-sized Pokémon purchased from Samson Oak were born with at least 3 perfect IVs, and if a Pokémon had a Hidden Ability, it would definitely have that Hidden Ability.

The same would be true if he could exchange for actual Totem Pokémon.

That would be a magnificent surprise at the next Chris Breeding House Pokémon Sale Conference!

Of course, this was assuming Chris had no interest in keeping them. If he wanted to train them himself, he would certainly keep them.

He recalled that in a certain version, Totem Stickers could be exchanged for a dragon pseudo-legendary.

Since he was looking for Totem Stickers to exchange for Totem Pokémon, Chris wasn't in a hurry to find Hala immediately. He decided to first find all the Totem Stickers in Hau'oli City to avoid having to run back and forth later.

Finding Totem Stickers was undoubtedly a very time-consuming activity.

Some of the Totem Stickers were pasted in seemingly inconspicuous places. As long as you looked carefully, you could definitely find them, such as the corner between the hair salon and clothing store, the right side of the Malasada chain store, and the right side of the city government building.

But some were more troublesome. For example, one was floating on the pool by the door of Trial Captain Ilima's house, requiring a fishing rod to catch it. Another was in Ilima's house, on the rightmost bookshelf in the innermost room on the second floor.

It would have been impossible to spot if Chris hadn't checked every building thoroughly.

After spending more than an hour, Chris finally searched all of Hau'oli City.

He had collected 11 Totem Stickers.

Chris remembered that for every 20 stickers, he could get a Totem Pokémon from Samson Oak. There were 100 stickers in total, which meant he could exchange for 5 Totem Pokémon.

He had found 11 stickers in just over an hour, so getting all hundred would take about ten hours. Fortunately, not every city in Alola was as big as Hau'oli City.

After putting away his 11 Totem Stickers, Chris headed toward Iki Town.

Halfway there, he found two more Totem Stickers in the Berry fields.

He found three more Totem Stickers on Route 2.

Now Chris had sixteen Totem Stickers in his possession, and he was only four away from getting his first Totem Pokémon.

He passed through Route 2, Route 3, and Route 1 before arriving at Iki Town.

There were quite a few Pokémon along the way that didn't exist in other regions.

Chris immediately took out the small notebook he had brought with him and recorded all these Pokémon.

On Route 2, there were Alolan Meowth and Alolan Rattata, as well as Growlithe, Smeargle, and Abra, which were rare in other regions.

Chris considered conquering the Growlithe habitat; he could come here to capture one later.

Compared with Route 2, Route 3 had more Delibird, Mankey, and Hawlucha, which made Chris wonder whether he should find a partner for Delibird.

Route 1 was home to many Bug-type Pokémon.

There were Caterpie, Ledyba, Spinarak, and Grubbin.

Grubbin could eventually evolve into Vikavolt with its extremely high Special Attack stat. Chris had trained one as an Electric-type special attacker when he played through Pokémon Sun and Moon.

There was also Alola's native bird Pokémon, Pikipek.
